I’m sure he’ll tweet something stupid/offensive any day now . . .

Correct. He posted a tweet trying to make the London attack be about him…

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/871143765473406976

…then seven minutes passed, where presumably his staff were shouting things like “what the f**k Mr President!?!” at him and threatening to take his phone away before he tweeted a proper “Oh yeah and I’m sorry and stuff too” style response…

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/871145660036378624

Yes mate, shows him up for what he really is, how he thinks (or not), his lack of compassion, empathy and thoughts for those killed and injured, what he really cares for, and how low he’ll sink to get his way - in placing blame/onus on the courts for ‘give us back our rights’?

And also his limited thinking in that this ‘travel ban’ would actually stop something like that happening anywhere.

‘Donald Trump’s first response to the news of the London attacks was to retweet a conservative news website better known for sensationalism and partisanship than for accurate reporting.’…

thought this was interesting - have seen a couple of Mayors of US cities say similar things…

https://www.wired.com/2017/05/cities-cant-sign-treaties-can-still-fight-climate-change

Yeah, I read an article somewhere that said the industry is still likely going forward in support of renewable energy/going green because it’s expensive to change from one system to another; there is expectation that future policy will force the regulations anyway; and so to do it now allows for a gradual switch over instead of the enormous expense of meeting a sudden and abrupt deadline.

Absolutely, and this may be of further interest…

‘If Trump actually wanted to renegotiate the Paris agreement, he just shot himself in the foot’:-

when he claimed he could shoot someone and not lose support, i don’t think any of us thought he meant he could shoot himself.

It’d be a worthy feat - given those tiny hands of his.

The US is the lynchpin of the whole Paris climate agreement. Remember how the League Of Nations failed?

GF - hopefully this goes some way to allay some of your concerns on Trump pulling out of the Paris Agreement…

and also in the politics thread on here - and in news elsewhere some city mayors are saying they will honour the Paris agreement, and also some heads of some pretty large companies will too.

Obviously, we’ll have to wait and see to see if that is the case - but all hope is not lost…

(and you all get the chance to vote Trump out in 2020 😉)

Last song you listened to.
Time

Captain SKA with ‘Liar Liar’ - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxN1STgQXW8

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liar_Liar_GE2017

All proceeds from the song between 26 May and 8 June 2017 are to be shared between food banks around the UK and the People’s Assembly Against Austerity

Shame on the BBC for refusing to play it - citing ‘impartiality’ during the coming election - though they seemingly forget they have previously refused to play other political songs - even when there has been no elections on.

edit - the song writer was also asked by a BBC Editor to ‘not to go too heavy on the Tories’ just before appearing on a BBC segment about the song not being played - https://twitter.com/AshBeechey/status/870587548904681472

That’s probably true, but I’m assuming Captain_Danielsan doesn’t have access to a GOUT disc. And oojason left this note at the bottom of his Star Wars post:

Chapters 24 & 44 were Chapter Titles with names from the Special Editions (‘Jabba The Hutt’ & ‘Luke & Biggs’) - my copy of Harmy’s DeSE didn’t have Chapter Titles so I just made them up for Chapters 24 & 44 - just a heads-up).

cheers mate 😃

It’s so long I ago I can’t remember where I got the majority of the Chapter Titles from - but hopefully they are all correct (in that they correspond with what is on screen).

The timings definitely are correct - I DO remember going through them a LOT to make sure they were 😃

Takes me back to those terrible 90’s UK VHS anti-piracy adverts 😃

Oh god, I’m having flashbacks to that terrible guitar sound! I swear, then and now, that piracy warnings are designed to punish you for buying the genuine article 😉

Those anti-piracy adverts likely drove more people to pirated copies than anything else - just so they wouldn’t have to stomach the cringe-filled ‘FACT’ adverts (and 20 mins of bad adverts for others films and tv) 😉

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnLVyNB52R8

Maybe they should have read something like…

‘We’ll let the UK Govt do the funding of terrorism thank you very much through £billion arms deals to countries known to fund terrorism - not you plebs with your £3 dodgy copy of Rambo 2 from Bob down the market. Now carry on buying this vastly overpriced format so we can link ‘Bob down the market’ to genuine terrorists and we get to keep making shite adverts and very cushty jobs working for FACT. Thanks. Here’s some awful guitar sounds from Dave in IT (he also does weddings)…’

Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage is a “person of interest” in the U.S. investigation into possible collusion between Russia and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, the Guardian reported on Thursday citing unidentified sources.

The London-based newspaper said Farage had not been accused of wrongdoing and was not a suspect or target of the U.S. investigation. But it said he was “right in the middle” of the relationships being looked at.

The newspaper said the former leader of the UK Independence Party had “raised the interest” of FBI investigators due to his connections with Trump and Julian Assange’s Wikileaks, which published leaked emails from the Democratic National Committee during the campaign.

Hope they do find some dirt on him (whether it be long rumoured ties to Russian backed-funds etc) - unfortunately he’s played the game so long (as a former banker, former Tory elite etc) he’ll have likely hidden any ties and money quite deep…

Here’s one I did of Luke Skywalker and Leia from the Vanity Fair shoot. I thought the picture would look better if her eyes were closed, so I experimented with the photo and came up with this. Let me know what you think. I mean no disrespect, and I hope I didn’t over step the boundaries here.

Really liked what you did there mate - somehow your picture does put them both in a more peaceful - and ‘closer’ (for want of a better word) look.

Altering people’s eyes seems to be quite technical/difficult look to get right based on other people’s struggles on their projects - so nice one on your work 😃

some quality work you’ve done mate - love the slightly different tweaks you’ve done along the way too - the more possibilities, otions and choices the better 😃

and also the choice of the '92 boxset for the box itself 😃

Keep up the quality work - hope you don’t mind, I’ve added your boxset to the ‘3-in-1 and boxset covers’ thread, here - http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/A-list-of-Box-Sets-and-3-in-1-Trilogy-covers-by-otcom-users/id/53673

Any interest in professionally made box sets for Despecialized?

I am very tempted by the idea of professional looking Media. But it also feels wrong to allow consumerism the be tacked on to something that starts out so free.

It’s sort of like Harmy applied a copy-left license to despecialized, and it applies to all derivative products as well. So having anyone contribute in a commercial way violates that.

That’s just my thoughts. Of course Harmy didn’t apply a copy-left license to despecialized. And I don’t think this actually violates anything in the letter of the law. But for me, I think it does violate the spirit of the law.

Thanks for the insight. I had not looked at it that way. If the majority of the community feels likewise, I will tell my contact that the project is a no-go and ask that the thread be locked. So if others feel that this violates the spirit of the project, please let me know here or via PM and I will take appropriate action. Thanks!

And as far as those people who may still want to purchase something like this from this individual directly, you may be all means contact him and conduct your own private transaction.

So community, what say you?

I think it’s a great idea you are doing here mate - and hope it comes off and does well - and yes, I’d be interested too 😃

Yet I also see where Dhamage is coming from and agree with it too… plus half the fun is knocking up your own stuff at times - no matter had bad it may be at first (I’m referring to my stuff here 😉) and then trying to improve upon it.

It may be an idea to get ‘the ok’ from Harmy? - or njvc too IF the boxes/and covers etc will feature some of his work as well?

Good luck with it mate - again, it’s just my two penneth, but think this is a great idea, nice one!

edit - ps, like darthrush says above - I don’t we should be paying for the films themselves, just paying for the boxes, covers and slipcovers and postcards etc

pps - those are truly beautiful looking sets you posted mate 😃
