Star Wars Despecialized Editions - Custom Bluray Set (Released)
Time

Teddy Furstman said:

Hi, I was wondering how to put the disc label on the Blu-Rays? How do I print the inserts on double sided glossy paper? Also, I’m so happy to see these being made and yes I won’t but it on eBay and will buy the Offical ones first. 😄

Thanks 😄

Teddy - take the time to look around the site in different sections of the site… and you’ll soon find the threads and info you are looking for that will be able to able help you.

For example, the ‘DVD Covers, Disc Labels, and Other Fan Artwork’ section is a good place to find info on the art, covers, disc labels and printing side of things - as well as info on printers, how to make your own box sets, where to buy spare blu ray / dvd cases, what type of paper is best…

The Last Jedi: Official Review and Opinions Thread ** SPOILERS **
Time

I didn’t mean the characters go to find DJ, I meant the script sends them there to ultimately find him. And yeah, if the rest of the movie doesn’t work for you, of course this isn’t going to either. Anyway, I’ve said my piece, I’m out again, I need to go to work.

I found this take on Canto Bight scenes, and Finn’s journey in the film - from going to being mainly concerned for his friend, all the way to committing to the Rebel cause - to be of interest…

https://i.redd.it/lrjogkba1c701.jpg

(that’s not to say that message could have been made a little clearer - and some of the Canto Bight scenes didn’t play too well - for me anyway.)

I predict more spam appearing on here soon - only to be taken down soon after…

Just because you don’t like the content doesn’t mean that the posts shouldn’t be preserved in their original format so that future generations can examine them in their original cultural context.

We could preserve it all at originalspam.com - if that bloody hexagon would get out of the way…

Complete Comparison of Special Edition Visual Changes
Time

I loathe it when platforms like Google, photobucket, imageshack etc go and do things like that. It’s most frustrating for all of us - losing quality pictures, art and covers etc for often no real good reason - on here and many other sites too.

Anyway, keep up the great work mate 😃

Harmy has put up a video on youtube - just to remind everyone that Fan Edits must never be bought or sold.

Personally, as a member here, I’d encourage everyone to watch it and upvote that video.

Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker - Discussion <em>NON SPOILER THREAD</em>
Time

SteveE said:

Good interview with JJ above, but I cannot help but think all these theories of alt right groups lowering the score on Rotten Tomatoes is a bunch of tosh.
The film wasnt hated by a large section of fans because it had too many women in prominent roles - what a silly thing to get upset about.

You should see some of the posts that were deleted from the TLJ threads by the moderators mate - and some of the right-wing extremists that joined to also tried to influence things here - and other sites; including those of prominent Star Wars fan sites / social media platforms.

As others have said ‘It’s hardly a load of tosh when they go around declaring their plans’ online.

Because you cannot see these posts/posters anymore - doesn’t mean that it didn’t happen - nor that they will not return again either. Unfortunately it also muddies the waters somewhat as to genuine Star Wars fans with legitimate criticisms of the film(s) - and not helped at times by a handful of more established / longer serving members on here also making derogatory remarks about women or the roles of minorities in the new films at times.

Awesome Star Wars art (pic heavy!!)
Time

LexX said:

I thought posting Solo images, even fan art, was against the spoiler rules. At least there was a redundant post made in this thread for some reason about the TLJ spoiler update.

It’s just a picture of the ‘new’ Falcon mate - and whilst there is a spoiler policy for the Solo film in place - I don’t consider that picture a spoiler.

A bit like seeing the new actor playing Han Solo appearing in the new teaser posters - and claiming that’s a spoiler - ‘I hadn’t seen that before’.

You’re going to have to be living in a cave not to see a pic of the ‘new’ Falcon; and it has also appeared in official posters, teasers and trailers - on billboards, magazines, bus stops, tv, online, and pretty much everywhere else - and will likely appear even more as the film release date nears.

Posting pics with potential plot/story content, previously unseen characters, or scenes from the film - sure, that’s a spoiler.

You are the OP of this thread - so if you wish you could change the rules of the thread as to ask not to include any content from Solo until it’s release - though that is up to you, of course.

(and if you do - you should make it clear).

I didn't like The Force Awakens. Should I see The Last Jedi in theaters? (NO SPOILERS)

Why can’t people just ignore what they don’t like?

Tell that to the soldiers coming back home with PTSD.

You’re equating soldiers coming back home from war with PTSD… to not being able to ignore a film you didn’t like.

I think this is a good time to end this thread.

You appear to have now seen the film - and any further comment on it can be made in the other TLJ threads.

If you have any issues with that, then feel free to PM me.

How to post an image on the originaltrilogy.com site + more how to's...
Time

This post has been superseded by the…

‘How do I do this?’ on the OriginalTrilogy.com - some information & answers to queries’

thread in the ‘General Assistance’ section of the site.

Though the following may still be of use…

How to post an image on this site…

There have been a fair few requests of late from members - both new and erm… not-so-new - on how to post an image on this site, so here goes…

If you’d like to post pictures up on the ot•com - then the following will (should) work…

!{}(https://i.imgur.com/dfwJb97.png)

^ instead of the ‘{}’ above, put these two [] in their place, then click on ‘Submit Your Reply’ or ‘Preview Post’ - and the image will appear - like it does below… 😃

or…

There is also a couple of useful guides, here:-

https://markdown-it.github.io/ (and scroll down to ‘Images’)
https://github.com/adam-p/markdown-here/wiki/Markdown-Cheatsheet

^ The above guides also features a few other useful bits and pieces for posting on here too.

How to post a ‘spoiler’ on this site…

Although there is no specific spoiler code for this site… many of the members on here use the following as a make-shift spoiler option - as an example:-

x>> Luke blows up the Death Star in Star Wars!

Remove the ‘x’ from the above line of text - so the text reads as ‘>> Luke blows up the Death Star in Star Wars!’ - and it will ‘appear’ as it does below…

Luke blows up the Death Star in Star Wars!

^ If you click on the ‘Expand’ button you will see the spoiler content. Click on the ‘Collapse’ button - and the spoiler content will disappear.

Alternatively, you can also post a Spoiler like this… (click on the ‘Expand’ / ‘Collapse’ button below)

 > SPOILERS
 >
 > > Vader is Luke's papa

SPOILERS

Vader is Luke’s papa

^ big thanks to ChainsawAsh for that 😃

How do I embed a video (from YouTube or Vimeo etc) on here?

Unfortunately the site software doesn’t currently allow for that - though you can post a link to a video on here.

When you do link to a video - please give a brief description of the content you are linking to.

I can’t find the Search function on the site - Is there one?

The site search function is currently disabled - some Mynocks got into the system and it hasn’t worked properly since.

You can search for any of the threads on the OT•com by going to your online search engine of choice (ie, google, startpage, bing, duckduckgo, yahoo etc) and type in:-

site:originaltrilogy.com and then whatever you are looking for.

For example - if searching for adywan edits, type in - site:originaltrilogy.com adywan edits

What is a ‘PM’? (and how do I send one?)

‘PM’ stands for Private Message. This is a useful function for exchanging information you may not wish to put up on the public part of the site - for all to see.

To send a Private Message… at the top right corner of the screen you will see a ‘speech bubble’ next to your avatar. Click on this and then select the ‘Start a Private Topic’ icon. You will also be able to see your past Private Message conversations.

Alternatively, you can click on the name of a member here on the forum that you wish to contact - and select the ‘Start a Private Topic’ option to send them a PM.

When the speech bubble at the top right of the screen is filled in (a solid pale blue colour) it means you have received a new PM to read. If the speech bubble is hollow it means you have no new PMs to read.

I see a lot of abbreviations & acronyms on here - what do they mean?

Sites like abbreviations.com, thefreedictionary.com, webopedia.com & urbandictionary.com may all be of use for this.

There is also an OT•com ‘acronym buster’ guide, here - link

Please note: whilst some abbreviations / acronyms may make it a lot easier / quicker to type or read certain word & meanings - the use of ‘txt spk’ on here is not encouraged - so please refrain from using it, thank you.

I would like to report a bug / request a site feature / have an idea…

Nice one - either of these can be made in the relevant site sections, here:-

General Assistance | Feedback Forum

What are the Site Rules & Guidelines?

Forum Rules and Guidelines, can be found here - link

Preservation / Fan Edit Rules & FAQ, can be found here - link

Maximum Signature Size Rules, can be found here - link

How do I report an issue / Contact a Moderator?

Whilst you can use the ‘Report’ button for any posts you may take issue with on the site… please note that at present all the ‘Reports’ only go through to Jay (the Site Owner & Admin) - and not the Moderators.

As you can imagine Jay receives a LOT of Reports, PMs and emails to sort through - on top of his other Admin duties - and even a life outside here.

So, if you wish to contact any of the Site Moderators instead with any issues, queries or concerns etc - you can do so by sending them a Personal Message (aka a ‘PM’) by clicking on their respective names below…

Does this site have a social media page?

There is an OriginalTrilogy•com twitter page, here - https://twitter.com/originaltrilogy
