I also think a better Jedi philosophy to follow is that of Yoda " A Jedi uses the force for knowledge and defense , never for attack ." If it were my kid , I would make him aware of the real world martial arts influences on The Jedi , let him know that to defend yourself is perfectly ok , and enroll him in a martial art school to learn self defense .I’ts not the Jedi way to kill and maim , it is to defend oneself and others.

I hope the kid’ll learn that too mate - he’s off to a good start with some impressive strength of mind and self-control.

There are a fair few sports related threads throughout the Culture section, and a few listed in the Culture Index thread too, though thought it may be worth having a general sports thread as well…

For those events (and even sports) that likely may not warrant enough interest for their own threads - whether it be news, results, humour, inspiring, weird, controversial, or sporting gestures, sport in your community, playing it, getting fit, overcoming the odds, the sublime, or just sporting stuff you like etc.

I think Amy Adams would do just fine in the role - though also remember 15-20 years ago when rumours of a remake were in the works with Drew Barrymore, I think followed by Anne Hathaway some time later, and more recently Kate Beckinsale or Rose McGowan? All would have been good - damn ‘stuck in development hell’…

Obviously Duran Duran would have to contribute to the soundtrack as well.

Jane Fonda in more than a mere cameo in it would be cool too.
 

Am now off to watch Barbarella again…

My apologies - I shall adhere to up my game. I admit the last few photoshoots haven’t been my best work - and have asked Jay to employ a more selective editing process before sending out the the ‘goods’ / ‘payment’. It was cold, some of the camera angles were a little unflattering, and perhaps too much oil was used - even for a ‘Barbarella meets Caligula’ theme.

No, it’s not a dig or pop at you - it’s a play on words… to lighten up the thread after you basically inferred that the mods & admin are lying to everyone and claimed we can read member PMs, then state you can’t say why you believe this to be so, and then go silent and ‘cease and desist’.

If I have something to say I’ll just say it straight to you (as I would anyone else) - not through a joke image, not behind your back, no veiled snide remarks or the like in other threads, not create issues that aren’t there - and then ‘cease and desist’… seemingly because someone is still not satisfied with answers/information given even after a 20 PM conversation as to why a thread was locked, (despite being told the matter was closed on 3 separate occasions) and then still look to continue the issue.
 

As you have exited from the thread, have been re-affirmed that mods and admin can’t read member PMs to which they are not invited (which has always been the case as far as I’m aware), and you state you don’t know what the thread is trying to achieve… this thread has run it’s course.

On fanedit.info there is reference to a ‘Star Wars: The Galactic Edit 1 - Rise of the Rebellion’, by Mustardkraken.

I think ForceGhostRecon (a member here) was also looking for this Edit at one time - if he was successful maybe he’ll be able to help you?

Other than that I don’t know anything about it - though good look in your quest for more info / cover art for it.
