What should we see in IX?

If only there was already a thread talking about this movie.

It’s okay to have more than one thread on one release, mate.

The OP seems to want to discuss the high stakes (eg, the fate of the galaxy) at play in the film; in the context of it being the last film of the Saga - ‘where iconic locations and characters are not safe and anything could happen’…

Seems the premise for a potentially decent thread, that 😃

I expect we’ll be seeing a few more threads on TROS - given it’s place as both the final installment of the Sequel Trilogy, and also the Saga itself.

Complete Comparison of Special Edition Visual Changes
Time

An array of additional informative sources regarding the numerous changes made to the Original Trilogy films over the years has been added to the first post of the first page of this quality, comprehensive and insightful thread (with kind permission of doubleofive).

This thread will be also soon be pinned to the top of the ‘Theatrical Cuts vs. Subsequent Releases’ section - as the main reference point and discussion thread for the copious changes made to these beloved films.

From doubleofive’s Star Wars Visual Comparison twitter account:-

‘In order to add details into the deep shadows present in the original shot, Vader’s face, chest plate, legs, and right arm were added from another source & tracked onto his body for the DVD. (2004)’…

Quality beer labels from around the world (or any passable alcohol with quality labels)...

Yes! This!
I’d forgotten as well!

Edit: forgot to include the beer label!

Am very much looking forward to meeting up with a few old mates, watching a replay of the Champions League Final, and despite not usually a beer drinker… downing a couple of these…

Quality beer labels from around the world (or any passable alcohol with quality labels)...
Time

Following on from a conversation in the What am I drinking [Closed] thread… that I’ve only just recalled!

A new thread for fine beer labels from around the world (or any passable alcohol with a quality or intriguing label on it).

The beer that started this off… 🍺

^ Ichnusa - a quality Italian beer (Sardinia, I think). Lovely chilled beer, with a creamy body to it.

Some weird label here; one that got George Lucas pissed…

‘Imperial Stout Trooper’:-

http://www.ctmuseumquest.com/?page_id=20855 - seems George sent them a cease and desist letter…

'A few years ago, the label was far more Storm Troopery. Somehow, George Lucas got wind of it and as George Lucas likes to do, he issued our best little brewery a cease and desist order. Seriously. It used to hang prominently at the brewery, but the last few times I was down there it had been moved.

So what did NEBCO do? The next time they released the IST, they threw some sunglasses on the Trooper. Brilliant. The next release featured a Groucho Marx nose and eyebrows. Genius. (Note the font is still quite Star Warsy.)

Ok, to the beer. I’ve actually had it several times – always in growlers from the brewery. Black as engine oil and full of malty goodness, the IST holds up to its reputation. This 2012 version is a bit different from the 2011 I remember. I can’t put my finger (or my liver) on it though… it seems like some of the secondary flavors are missing.’

'More Cameos We Want in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ - from geek.com

^ I hadn’t realised they got Forest Whitaker in to play Saul Gerrera in it - nice one 😃

Would cool to Kyle Katarn feature in another game - as the article lists in their wish-list of cameos.

Seems there won’t be any lopping off limbs of the stormtroopers in the game…

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will only allow for lightsaber dismemberment “in select cases”’ - from GamesRadar.com

I’ll most likely buy it once it gets discounted. Looks fun, but not day-one full-price kind of fun.

Same here.

I like the look of it - an updated TFU/Jedi Outcast style game, though was hoping for something with a little more to it…

(Having said I was beginning to think we’d never see a new single-player Star Wars game again! So am quite happy there is one.)

Roll-on more gamplay videos of it - and the reviews when closer to launch.
