The Vaultbreakers Collection - Disney Preservations

I think that if you use the Bluray ripper option on DVDFab, you don't need to extract a single file, it will rip a proper 2D image.

Also, I've compared the 3D Bluray to the LD rip made by Molly, and even though the video is better than the 2D Bluray, it still doesn't come close to matching the original colors, everything is too bright and the characters still seem out of place.

@ KnightOfRound, I saw that thread, so I know about the old preservation.

There was an attempt to upload it to MySpleen, but it didn't work, so if you can upload it to a convenient filehost like Sendspace or Wetransfer, I'd be very happy to see it.

BTW, do you have the DVD files or a rip?

All the same, if the OP has a better source for preservation, for example, if the LD is of higher quality, I'd really like to see it, and TLK too.

@ KnightOfRound, Oh yes, that would be great, my tapes are also in FS, but unbelievably well preserved compared to the amount of playing I've put them through as a child.

The VHS tapes of BATB and TLK are better looking then their first DVD counterparts, but compared the bluray, the picture is a bit faded.

I think PAL tapes fared better then NTSC.

I'd still love to see a preservation of TLK as well, my first visit to a cinema.

P.S, knowing Aladdin well, I don't know of any alterations to the animation on the DVD, but the change of "Arabian nights" which crept into the dub I know so well *really* ticked me off, not only because it was done as badly as it was on the original English track, but because the VHS had the original line, and no one thought anything of it back then, meaning that the change to the DVD must have been ordered by Disney. Damn those PC bastards!

@ KnightOfRound Even worse, check out the scene where Belle kicks Gaston out of her house and he falls in the mud.

In the first DVD, the colors of the mud and Gaston's face are the same, looks like a Z grade Saturday morning cartoon.

And I fully agree about The Lion King, although the new Bluray removes that awful song, The Morning Report, I still keep my VHS tapes of many Disney classics, albeit dubbed in Hebrew.

Another classic that was tampered with was Aladdin, but only in the soundtrack, that DVD looks great.

If I could have the LD preservations, I would be ecstatic!

Hi, I saw Molly's first torrent on many sites, but with no sources.

I have been looking for the OTV of BATB for a very long time, but I don't have a Spleen or usenet account.

I have read the posts around here and was amazed not to find this awesome group before, so would it be too premature of me to ask that you upload BATB to a filesharing host like Mediafire, Sendspace or Wetransfer?

It's just that it is easier to spread it around without having to worry about seeders or sources, and I will really appreciate it.

I can offer assistance regarding upload, if it's any help.

Thanks in advance.
