NSP Special - ANH Bluray CCd to 97 SE, synched with 97 Theatrical (Theatrical DTS BluSynched is now available)
Time

One thing i enjoyed about the 97 Special Edition was the color grading. It FELT different from the standard version. Same with the audio mix. It was its own entity that could be enjoyed separately.

With that in mind, I thought it would be interesting to release an unedited version of the Bluray with that same Special Edition feel - color corrected to match and with the 97 theatrical DTS-HD synched to match.

Pictures to come. Project nearly complete.

Cuz there isn't anyone in a homeless shelter or using a foodbank that made stupid decisions. Every one of them is drug free and doing their best to support their children. And those children obviously number in the amount that they can afford. Good call Frink.

(I say that in response to our conversation. I strongly believe in such programs and actually work taking donations and advocating for local non-profits.)

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

I also was of the mind that the extended shot was too much.

My suggestion is cover the bluray portion of your screen and watch the clip. It makes a world of difference and suddenly feels the perfect length.

I think the only thing that shot needs is a small amount of water motion, perhaps small waves moving away from the ship.

team negative1 - star wars 1977 - 35mm theatrical version (Released)
Time

Out of the box idea. Could a rear projection tv be repurposed as a front projection recorder? If you removed the internals and placed a camera at the exact angle and distance the internal projection device typically sits, then projected a film directly onto the screen from the outside ( probably with a brighter bulb to offset the translucent screen), couldn't you capture a near perfect representation of what a film looks like projected? From what I've read across the site most people seem more interested in a preservation of the cinematic experience of Star Wars, as opposed to what a proper digital scan of the negative would look like.

Hello, my dear, dear friends of the OT -

I've been around here for quite a while. I try and jump in on most conversations, diffuse most attacks on newbies, and was an early advocate of the complete removal of Otah Gungah which has since caught on quite a bit.

I am 25 years old. I have a full time job at minimum wage. My girlfriend has a part time job.

We have a 4 year old, a 5 year old, and a 3 month old.

A couple months ago our landlord of 5 years kicked us out of our incredibly affordable rented house to renovate and sell it.

All 5 of us now live in a single room of my girlfriend's mother's double wide.

We're barely making ends meet.

I have not gotten laid since before the baby was born and I don't see it happening anytime in the next year if we have to stay here.

An amazing opportunity has arisen to convert my parents' garage into a house. Lots of friends willing to help if I get the materials. My parents live on 3 acres and the garage is 1188 sq ft.

Trying to find ways to raise money. Anything helps. I've asked my family and friends in my daily life. I consider some of you on here both.

So... I'm asking - if anyone here has a bit of spare change and can help, my paypal is nightstalkerpoet@aol.com

You may now proceed with your typical Off Topic Shenanigans and Star Wars perusal.

The NSP Collective Saga - An Editor's Choice Marathon release.
Time

A lot of people hear about fan edits and don't really know where to start, or which editor will be right for them. Some don't know whether they'll like a preservation or an actual edit. Some don't have the patience to track down a bunch of different sources. That's where this comes in.

I have gathered together my current go to projects in a single BD50 release. It encompasses a variety of editors and takes on the films.

Episode I - Return of the Sith:Revisited (Seciors)

Episode II - The Approaching Storm (Hal9000)

Episode III - Dawn of the Empire (L8wrtr)

Episode IV - A New Hope Custom Special Edition (Hal9000)

Episode V - NSPESB (Nightstalkerpoet)

Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (Q2)

Uses official 7-8gb releases from the original editor (nothing has been reencoded). Disc created with MultiAVCHD.

Coming to a spleen near you.
