In any case, the original has been out of print for two decades now. Even Turner Classic Movies, which usually prides itself on showing original theatrical versions, airs the 2004 version.

The only thing I hate about the 2004 version of THX 1138 are the CGI cars and monkeys

i wonder if they will ever perfect behind-your-face 3D. then things really could sneak up on you in movies.

They tested Feel A Round movies in the 70’s, but it was too intense for average movie goers. 😉

LOL, that is insane! popcorn for $1? :p

Yeah, for 4$ you get to see a movie and eat a small popcorn. Not bad.

I paid 16.25$ for my 3D IMAX ticket of The Force Awakens

Fresh off the presses: Kathy Kennedy, on whether or not there are plans to alter George’s “final cut” of the films: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ie6Cr3m344k&feature=youtu.be

Should have asked if an OOT release was possible, and not if a new special edition was possible. She did confirm that they have creative freedom which is good

Are the Prequels Even Worth Watching Once?

If you don’t think the PT looks good from whatever you’ve see of it (trailers, scenes, ect), you’re certainly not going to be won over by the nonsensical story and annoying charters.
If you think what you’ve sen of the PT looks cool, then maybe you can also stomach all of the stupidity and poor craftsmanship and enjoy some of the visual … blandness? (ok, some shots looked good)
Same goes for Blade Runner. You heard it was no good, but were interested in what you’d seen/heard so watched it anyway and liked it.
Also, Blade Runner is actually a good film, so that’s very different. Even if it isn’t your ‘cup o tea’, you’d be a fool to say it isn’t a well made film.

My original point was this. Don’t call a movie good or bad if you haven’t seen it
