Hi all, I'm looking to buy an LCD television for my bedroom very soon, but I have some questions. I've been reading a lot about HD and it's varied resolutions. But I see televisions with 1280x720, and some have 1280x768. As I understand it, 720p is 720 lines, and is an HD standard. How will this apply to a screen with a native resolution of 1280x768?

Also, can anyone recommend a 16x9 LCD at around 20"? I tried out a 27" and it was way too big for my little room. Thanks guys (and girls, and Gundarks)

I'm not sure about Nicholas Cage as Ghost Rider....but I've seen some CG shots from the movie with the flaming skull and it looks pretty good. Never was a huge Ghost Rider fan, only saw him when he guest starred with Spidey.

Has Ewa Sonnet been discussed yet? Of Poland? If not, I can post pics. I error on the side of caution because I am on dial-up, and my bits are precious, and I dont want to waste them on uploading pics of beautiful, busty ladies that no one wants to see.

I'm trying to get CowClops V2 Ep4-6 before Christmas to give as a gift (a girl I know whom I recently showed the O-OT for the first time and she is wanting to see them again badly), but there are not many seeders (at least not last night, I'm at work now). My mom is a librarian at my former elementary school, and she recently brought home an old copy of a storybook adaptation of Star Wars. It is illustrated with photos from the movie, and it contains shots of Luke looking at the sky with his binoculars (watching Leia’s ship get boarded above) and him talking with Biggs. Cool eh?

That 70's Show. One of the guy characters in the show likes Star Wars. He was quizzing his dad on Star Wars characters using his collection of action figures. I just saw it recently, but it might have been a re-run, I don't really watch the show.

Also, isn't the kid from The OC always talking about Star Wars and comic books? At least that's the justification my girlfriend uses to try and get me to watch that show.

This very issue has come up often within my circle of Star Wars buddies. After we saw the saber fight at the end of Ep1, we thought back to EP4 and realized how epic that fight was supposed to be, and how it plays out so anti-climactic now, after seeing how awesome the new saber fights are. It's even worse when you show a friend the OT, and all they've seen is the PT. When it comes time for the saber fights, they usually respond with "That's it?"

But lets be real, the real reason these fights look the way they do is that they are OLD, and expectations were not nearly as high as they are today for that kind of action. Just seeing a lightsaber on the screen was cool enough. But would I want to see it changed? No, probly not. I mean, if the current SE CGI sticks out real bad, imagine how awful a completely digital fight would look in the middle of a 1970's film.

There are many issues like this between the OT and the PT (the ships, the environments, everything pretty much) caused by doing films 20+ years AFTER their originals were released. It's just chalked up to technology, and any attempts to justify the differences is just kinda silly.

You obviously have never done anything like this before, 420. If you add up the costs of the disc, the case, the glossy printed cover, printing the cd, and SHIPPING, you probly are pretty close to $15. So he's not making LOOT. Then there's the actual work involved in creating these. I don't think Rikter's going to get rich with these...

Plus, just because he didn't create everything himself, he did mix them and make them sound good. So your criticism is misplaced.

I think it must be someone on the "inside" who leaks these things. I don't see any other way for high quality versions to make to the internet so quickly.
