I get it, depends on your state. Which is a great argument against the Electrical College.

And the popular vote total matters when the most insecure person in the world doesn’t get more votes.

If one truly believes the most winnable candidates are so bad neither deserves their vote, that is an important statement too. If I were in a swing state I’m sure I would have agonized more but don’t think my vote would have changed.

If yo were in a swing state and your vote wouldn’t have changed, you would have been one of the people responsible for our current president.

And if you think either would have been equally bad, sounds reasonable.

I think we’re all responsible in a way.

I’m not. My vote doesn’t mean jack shit. I thought I made that clear. Hillary, the electoral college, the lying media, and Trump supporters are responsible for electing Trump.

It’s not really about mfm himself not voting, but him being a part of a massive group (perhaps majority) of non-voters who could together make real change if individually could be convinced to vote.

This is a bad line of reasoning. First of all, I hated our candidates. Yes, Hillary would’ve been infinitely better than Trump but I hate a lot of what she stands for and plus she and her DNC cronies cheated at every turn. Voting for her would’ve been selling out and degrading and disgusting to me. Also, I don’t like the idea that we just need more people to vote. Most people shouldn’t be voting. Most people are really dumb. What if someone who isn’t voting would vote for a really horrible candidate like Trump? I definitely don’t want them to vote. Basically, if you don’t vote, you’re a problem. If you vote your conscience and vote for a third party, you’re a problem too. You can’t win in people like Frink’s eyes unless you lower yourself to voting for the lesser of two evils. Staying inside and relaxing after another long and shitty day at a shitty job is more appealing to me than pointlessly participating in whatever passes for democracy in this country.

I don’t think so. I mean, I liked Bernie more than Hillary, but I think most of America would have seen him as some fringe commie, so I don’t think either Dem could have beat Trumpy.

I disagree about Bernie. I think he had a very good chance of winning, but the DNC wanted Hillary and pushed the “he can’t win” narrative until everyone believed it, at which point it became true.

I don’t think Bernie could have won.

The caveat is I didn’t think Trump could win and he did, what the hell do I know? But he would have been painted as the mayor of crazytown who wanted to give all your money away.

Maybe I should say I don’t think he would have had any better chance than Hillary did.

Bernie had a lot of progressive supporters that refused to support Hillary once he was out, though. I dunno. We’ll never know for sure.

They actually followed their consciences.

I guess I’m a real loser then, because I’m a Democrat from Oklahoma and I vote.

You’ve certainly wasted your time each election day.

Voting should be a civic habit; an informed vote is the duty of every citizen of a democracy.

THIS X100000000

“My vote won’t count because I live in Oklahoma” is nonsensical garbage. Do your duty as a citizen of this great country.

I should say that it doesn’t mean anything rather than that it doesn’t count. And it doesn’t mean anything. This country is great, I won’t deny that, but it’s elections are a sick joke.

I don’t even know very many people that vote. This life bullshit is a pretty boring and awful experience so why make it slightly more boring and awful by going to a government building and pretending that our voices matter when they don’t? It’s a sick joke and I don’t know who sickens me more, the people that perpetrate it or the people that accept it.

It’s true. Why waste my time, stand in line, be out in traffic and surrounded by people when there was a 100% guarantee that Donald Trump’s dumb ass would win my state, especially when the person that is opposing him has a 100% chance of not winning and is a candidate that I find insulting? You can shrug off the fact that our electoral system basically just gives a middle finger to no less than half the country all you want, but I won’t participate in it unless I’m supporting someone who deserves it. If I lived in a state that this country has decided matters, like Florida or something, then I probably would’ve voted for Hillary, but I don’t so I didn’t and the election wouldn’t have turned out any differently if I did.
