Democrats would have to run an as-yet-unnamed rock star in 2020 for me to give them my vote. Hillary was the last pity vote they’re getting from me. They need another beating at the ballot box and some more soul-searching.

To elaborate, Bernie Sanders was inarguably the biggest leftist figure in 2016 and his platform was not identity politics. It revolved around income inequality and the monopoly on power that “the 1%” has, and he’s now the most popular politician in America because of that platform. How is the “entirety” of the modern left just identity politics?
If that’s the case then I think that we’ll probably see an official sale of the original versions at some point, even if it isn’t soon. I think a big motivation for selling the GOUT discs was to beat the bootleg market.

I have no problem with not voting for the lesser of the two evils if that candidate is not in line with the agenda you want enacted, but to not vote for an otherwise progressive candidate based on something that pointless doesn’t jive with me.

Elizabeth Warren is a genuine progressive. She doesn’t go as far as I would prefer, but she goes far enough for me to support her. Unless she changes those principles to ones that I don’t like, I will support her. I don’t care about a stupid scandal like this, especially since it doesn’t affect her policies at all.
Unless it comes out that she firebombed a children’s hospital, then I see no reason to not vote for her just because of her personal life.
I think we’ll probably see the trilogy in 4K within the next year or two now that Disney has bought out Fox. Whether it’s the original trilogy or the terrible, ugly, 1990s-video-game trilogy is a different question. I normally would assume that we wouldn’t get the unaltered versions, but between mverta’s newest update and the “slow down” we’re supposed to expect from the new films, I think that they might release a big box set that includes the original versions as a selling point. I’m not holding my breath, but I wouldn’t be stunned by any means.
The fact that she is digging in her heels over this has caused her to lose my vote. And seeing left-leaning media outlets still defending her on this is equally disturbing. Actual native Americans must be rolling their eyes.
