Netflix continues to be a shithole:

So now people there can’t look at each other for more than five seconds‽ That’s insane.

I know it sounds insane, but think about how long five seconds is. If you were a young woman and an old creepy dude was staring at you for five solid seconds, I guarantee it would creep you right the fuck out.

I don’t like being looked at either. I actually hate it and it’s one of the main reasons that I never leave my shitty house, but I’m not so fucking special that I get everyone else to police the world for me.

The basic idea of the rules is “don’t be a fucking creep” but since people (mostly men) can’t stop doing it, they have to try and spell it out. The only thing that is insane is that these people actually need stupid rules like this because they can’t just not do it on their own.

This isn’t going to stop anything either. This won’t help, it’ll just make the world slightly more of a prison than it already is.

To be fair, Netflix hasn’t made a statement yet, but it wouldn’t surprise me. This is the logical next step in making the world less livable. Put me in charge of HR and I’ll make some logical policy. On one side you’ve got morons like Jordan Peterson saying that make-up makes you a hypocrite for not wanting sexual harassment and then on the other you’ve got not being able to look at someone for more than five seconds. Both are bullshit and both should be mocked extensively by everyone with a functioning brain.

The coverups were a global issue. I’m sure all Catholics that aren’t molesting kids think it’s horrible, but to downplay the role that Vatican played in allowing it to continue is being complicit, I would argue. Just like cops that condemn police brutality are complicit if they downplay the problem or ignore it.

There are bad apples, and a handful that merit a far harsher term, but what do you expect from human beings? There are also many saints and inspiring examples among their ranks.

I actually have pretty high expectations of human beings, even though I know I shouldn’t. That’s why I get so angry at them all the time. I don’t like the “bad apples” argument. When there’s a problem that is wide-spread in an organization, I consider every member of the organization that stands by and does nothing to be complicit. Just like all American cops that play the middle ground and don’t condemn wholeheartedly every single instance of police brutality are complicit in the problem.

What should be more worrisome is that the two oldest remaining justices, Ginsburg and Breyer, are both liberal. If Trump sees a full 8 years in office, he might end up nominating their replacements as well.

I doubt that’ll happen. Trump has never had an approval rating above 50%. Even if he does win, he’s an old, obese man that will likely die any day now.

But judges?

I don’t understand.

Frink occasionally mocks conservatives/Republicans who rationalize Trump’s victory because at least we get judges we like. The implication is “but judges” is a weaksauce excuse for Trump.

It’s a “weaksauce” excuse because the judges that conservatives want are horrible. They’re typically family-values, police state, corporate piles of shit.
