Invite only has it’s advantages and disadvantages. We’ve had people pop up out of the blue with useful resources. I don’t think would happen if they didn’t come across a thread before joining up.

The next forum update ought to make sniffing out the socks much faster. And nobody likes it when Jay calls their parents. 😉

I have no idea if it would be possible to have a segment of the forum in which anyone can create an account and post in, and then if they prove themselves to not be trolls, then they are allowed into the site? Either way, it sounds like you’ve got it under control. Is an IP ban in the works?

One way or another, putting hope on the “profit” is delusional. As I already said, LF is making billions with each new film. Several millions of profits from potential release of theatrical versions is not even worth a consideration (profit-wise).

Not as delusional as using quotation marks for no reason.

If the rumors of ghost Hayden being in Episode 8 are true, then all chance of an OOT release outside of bonus material in the vein of the '06 DVDs is gone.

I don’t have any idea how these two things are connected.

Some people, for some reason, think that canon means something. By the way, if that logic is correct, then why would they ever release deleted scenes?

I’ve never seen Strange Magic, but it does seem weird that it got zero support from Disney. Also as Silverwook mentioned, it’s inconceivable to me that a movie, especially a CGI animated movie, would not get released on blu ray in this day and age.

It does make me wonder, though, since George is such a great businessman… when he sold Lucasfilm, why didn’t he negotiate to make sure Strange Magic was supported?

He may have just assumed that Disney would give it some type of marketing. After all, that is a reasonable assumption. Remember though, when discussing a 4 billion dollar deal, Strange Magic was probably the last thing on anyone’s minds.

Yeah, they could have advertised it a little more? I liked it more than Frozen. Damn thing isn’t even on Blu Ray.

I felt bad for George. They really through the whole film under the bus. I think the fact that they did that to his final film really shows that they wouldn’t consider his feelings about releasing the OT in its original form. Especially given that I don’t think he cares about those anymore.
