The difference is that Iron Man is likable.

I agree but that wouldn’t stop naysayers from screaming “rehash” at the top of their lungs

I don’t know really where to put this since there isn’t a General Movies thread but it seems Batman v Superman got some inspiration from Iron Man 2 which is probably why it wasn’t that good of a film. One of the “similarities” is a bit of a reach though.

Which one? The secret HQ one (since Tony’s identity is public) or the drunk one (since Bruce was faking, I think)?

The drunk one. That’s like saying The Matrix ripped off The Warriors just because there are scenes in which punching is involved.

Both have subway trains in them. The Wachoswkis ripped Walter Hill off! 😉

Clearly. Did you know that both the Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind were shot on film? Not only that, but they were released in the same year.

^That was Moviefreaked.
The thing with me is, when someone asks if I’m a Star Wars fan, i just say “I love the original three movies.” Otherwise it’s assumed that I like a heap of crap.
It also depends where I am. If I’m at a baseball game, I’m actually more inclined to talk a little Star Wars with a stranger than I am at the comic book store. If I’m someplace even remotely nerdy, I deny Star Wars like Peter n’ Jesus. To them, those original three movies are 1) a small part of a much larger franchise and 2) now so full of changes that they no longer look, sound or give the feeling they once did.
Also, I feel like I hate non-OT Star Wars more than most around here and telling someone that I’m a Star Wars fan and then leaving them to assume that I like Revenge Of The Sith and Jedi Rocks is something I just can’t do.

I completely agree. I have never liked anything other than the Original Trilogy. Even in the build-up to the prequel mania I couldn’t stand all of the books and magazines and other stuff that was being pushed everywhere.

Embarrassingly, It was 18 and 19 for me. Luckily I had no internet forums to show my stupid ass on. And I had some friends who woke me up to the facts.

I think this is why imperialscum seems so obnoxious on here. In person he’s probably just a typical brat who thinks he knows everything, but it’s so easy to amp it up on the internet to the point where he includes things that even he wouldn’t say in person. I’m also glad that I had no internet to amplify my nonsense when I was a kid.

I was never as snooty and rude as ImpsCum though. He ratchets that shit up to very sad levels.

I think the internet might be the cause of the absurdity of his idiocy. I don’t doubt that he is as arrogant as he comes across online, but in person I doubt that he acts quite so ridiculous.

I’ll admit that when I was 15 or 16 I had a horrible superiority complex before I realized that the reason no one liked me was because I was a total dick who thought he knew every thing. I’m glad I got over it early. One of my best friends today is someone who couldn’t stand me during my first two years of high school but liked me after I grew up a little. Hopefully imperialscum can do the same.

Spidey 1 and 2 were great and my first major PSX games when I got my console. The music and acting were great I thought butt why don’t hold as well over time in terms of gameplay. 2 on ps2 is legendary for its swinging and gta styled sandbox for good reason but severely limited in other ways. The newer games have mixed reviews and are still expensive used so I think I’ll just wait for the ps4 game as I need to still play Arkham Knight anyway.

Maybe I’ll fire up 2 as I just want to go web swinging.

I have very fond memories of Spider Man 2. I haven’t played it in 10 years, how hasn’t it held up?

Every now and then I’ll play a deathmatch on Doom I or II. I like it old school, but I’ll be buying Doom 4 sometime soon. I really like the looks of it.

The single player campaign is amazing, but if you’re getting it for the MP, don’t. It’s dumbed down, especially with the loadouts (tons of players bunny hopping and blasting the entire map with rocket launchers at random because you can spawn with pretty much whatever weapons you want except for the chainsaw and BFG). And the cheating is infuriating.

UT4, dude. Seriously.

I would be getting it purely for the campaign. I play online games very rarely, and when I do it’s only with specific friends of mine.

All this thread does is get him to act more like an asshole. He’s desperate for attention since he lives in Japan and doesn’t speak either Japanese or English. He can’t communicate so people just ignore him.

Ah yes, it must be so.

Btw, you acted like an asshole to me. I just put you in your place.

I’m actually genuinley curious as to why you act the way you do. I’m sure you’re probably around college age, and a lot of people go through a phase in which they think they’re better than everyone so idiots like you really aren’t uncommon at all, but your schtick is taken to an almost comical extreme. I suspect that you are actually pretty arrogant, but amp it up online for attention because you know you can’t get away with it in person.
