What disturbed me the most about Bush was his letting Cheney run roughshod with his military industrial complex. Also didn’t like his environmental and social policies. But as a person, I think he was trying to do the right thing.

What disturbed me the most about Obama was his ramping up of drone strikes, which I think is unbecoming and hypocritical of our country. Also questioned the one-sided-ness of the bank bailout. But as a person, I think he was trying to do the right thing.

Trump is in a whole other league. If I started a similar list, it would go on and on, as I disagree with nearly every change he has instituted (or tried to institute). Easily orders of magnitude worse. And as a person, I think he is a con man trying to make as much money out of this deal as he can, and that he blatantly doesn’t give a crap about anyone else. It still stuns me that people would vote for such a total creep.

I agree almost completely. I’d add the Patriot Act and expansion of government overwatch to both Bush and Obama though. Also, Obama as a President was a lot more competent than Bush. That needs to be stated.

Anyone else totally disregard Leia being Luke's sister?

Isn’t it interesting that Obi Wan was older than the average Tattooine life expectancy during ANH? His survival is pretty convenient if you ask me. It’s also pretty convenient that Han was available during that time. Realistically they’d have had to wait in the cantina for a few hours, or perhaps stay in a hotel before the Falcon would be ready to make their journey.

Ranking the Star Wars films

Or that the entire thing was filmed like a collection of video game cutscenes. Or that it completely failed to deliver on the creation of Darth Vader, which was its most important task.

R1 felt like trailer shots and video games cutscenes to me too. It didn’t ruin Darth Vader, so that puts it above ROTS.

Saying ROTS is better may not be saying much but it’s still saying way too much, no matter how little you weren’t entertained by TFA or R1.

I wouldn’t say it’s better, but I actually remember having some very vague feelings as I left the theatre after ROTS. Now that might have been because I fully believed that I had just seen the last Star Wars movie ever, and it was completely lame and boring, but I felt something. TFA and R1 were like two hours that vanished from my life with no impact whatsoever.

The fact that this is all we’ve been debating for the last couple pages suggests this was a pretty good film.

No, it’s just close to the bottom of the barrel as far as discussion goes because the rest has already been discussed. Surely if people are complaining about the title of the Phantom Menace, then it was a pretty good film.

Maybe I ought to play Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask to finally see what all the hype it has generated since it must be babys first Zelda game. Maybe the N64 or 3DS version through emulators. No, I don’t regret not playing it when it was released when I was a teenager at all. Really don’t care if I play with mods or not when I eventually procrastinate to.

?

Still playing ASSASSIN’S CREED III and EMPIRE: TOTAL WAT. Replaying 1997 Westwood Studios BLADE RUNNER for PC. Not entirely sure if I’ve gotten all the endings yet. Would be great if there were another BLADE RUNNER game, maybe released by CDProjekt RED, but they have Cyberpunk 2077 forthcoming. No, certainly not from TellTale either.

EMPIRE: TOTAL WAT (sic) is just babys (sic) first total wat (sic) game.
