Fuck you.
Fuck you.
What?
SW:ANH
I found your problem. You should watch Star Wars. That’s a much better movie than A New Hope.
Nope, I grew up watching Star Wars, ANH was a decent chance to revitalize my desire to watch the movie. It was a wonderful groundbreaking movie for it’s time, but out of everything it is the most dated and the most filled with flaws and things I would have like to have seen them actually change for today’s viewing audience.
Screw today’s viewing audience. They suck.
If today’s viewing audience is incapable to watch a forty year-old movie knowing that it is a forty year-old movie, then they’re too stupid to appreciate anything.
I’m going to force my kids to watch horror films at a young age.
My kids won’t be allowed to watch football.
I forgot about that
College is doable.
It’s interesting to see how the people who can’t handle that different actors sometimes play the same character always want the OT to conform to the prequels. I don’t see anyone wanting a CG Clive Revell to replace Ian in Jedi and the PT.
This argument is ridiculous.
It’s ridiculously ridiculous.
But if it’s true that your problems are all stemming from the fact that you’ve lost your faith, then you’ll need to find a way to love the fact that you’ve lost your faith.
I find this very confusing.
Which part? I basically meant that I think his obsession over lost faith is a symptom of bigger mental/emotional problems instead of the other way around. He was saying that he thought he was using OCD and the like as an excuse for something about faith and I don’t think that’s true.
What always comes to my mind is that if you are evil for most of your life and then turn good at the last second before death, you get to be a young ghost, but if you’re an okay guy into your elder years then you have to be an old man ghost.
It’s the best advert for the Dark Side.
I know, I was making fun of Handman for that! Why is this so hard?
I know, I’m just saying that I was the one that you made fun of for saying that I would only expose my children to entertainment that I like. I never wondered why small children would want to watch My Little Pony.
Tie between comma, and apostrophe’
If you loved the latter so much then you wouldn’t have misused it.
No one called it ANH until we were knee-deep into the PT.
Between 1983 and 2004, the apparition of Shaw has not bothered anyone, everyone understood he obviously was Anakin and NOBODY never said, before 2004: “Hey, it’s not logical.”
As I’ve said before, Shaw as Anakin made sense until Christensen was cast in the role. Up until that point, you could assume that Anakin looked like Shaw right before turning. Now, we know very well that’s not the case.
Only if you acknowledge the PT exists.
I sometimes forget that the PT exists, but only for a brief moment or two at a time.
Frank’s point remains. Star Wars refers to the original film. ANH refers to the altered versions, most of which are shit.
Not really. All ANH versions of the film, including the SE at one point, were referred to as Star Wars.
I was making fun of who(m?)ever it was that couldn’t understand why my little girls would want to see the My Little Pony movie. Handman, maybe.
Handman was the one that asked why your daughters wanted to see it. I was the one that you made fun of for saying I’d only expose my kids to entertainment that I liked.
I made fun of both of you. Handman came later.
You made fun of me for saying that I wouldn’t expose my kids to entertainment that I didn’t like, but I never wondered why small children, especially little girls, would want to watch My Little Pony.

I actually think that the crisis of faith is masking OCD and other serious issues. But if it’s true that your problems are all stemming from the fact that you’ve lost your faith, then you’ll need to find a way to love the fact that you’ve lost your faith.
I like him but I think sometimes his character is too much. Even then though his character has some great lines and isn’t shrill and unwatchable like the Nostalgia Critic is to me. James out of character is great too.

Referring to the 1981 version always irks me because we all watched Star Wars on VHS for years without having any problems with that subtitle being in the crawl, but now it’s apparently a crime against cinema.
Technically any change without the original being available is a crime against cinema (though this is a relatively minor misdemeanor). Remember this is the site where people were complaining that they covered up Robert Patrick’s balls in Terminator 2.
I know what people complain about on this site, I just think that some of it is completely absurd.
Awkward, uncomfortable, and a bit scary is enough to deter a significant amount of people from doing things that would benefit them greatly.
Why does Cloud City need to feel big and open? It’s a mining colony not a resort.
