    I had major doubts about 2D to 3D conversion. They were dispelled. Suddenly, I was noticing many details in the background not registered before. The 3D made the CGI seem even more substantial. Some of the space shots gave me vertigo :) The sweeping visuals were enhanced. The logos and crawl were spectacular against the depths of space.

    In all, it was nice to see those enhanced visuals with the magnificent JW themes.

    Looking forward, I think AOTC will definitely be a worthwhile experience :)

I felt I saw the the opposite.

My 11 year old son and I went last week (orange wednesday, 2 for the price of one!). To me a lot of the 3d conversion defocused the backgrounds to achieve the 3d effect. I spent half the time lowering my glasses to see if any effect had been implied and a lot of the time there wasn't. I usually watch the episodes at home with my hd projector on a 106" screen and honestly felt the picture in my house was much better. When the 3d effect did work it was ok. The crawl looked great as space looked deep and vast, R2 looked rounded and objects and characters didnt look like cardboard cutouts which was a surprise but for the most part I was left questioning the resolution of the picture as it really felt like I was watching a badly upscaled dvd.

Did anyone ever notice how much Leia's boushh costume's helmet looks like some character's from the end of DS9? They were called the breen, which in turn looked like K9 from Doctor Who.

Try fanedit.info but theres a lot of caffuffle (is that a real word?) going on at the moment with some of the file sharing sites, try a pm to the maker.

Ady looks amazing, keep up the good work. I reckon the colours look much more filmic/ natural, since I saw them as a small kid I've always felt that the colours on all different incarnations of the movie have always looked forced. Loving the small tweeks to Yoda's mouth and eyes, and the cloud city has never looked so good.

Anyone know if there will be different versions ie: the small tweaks version and the full on new models and shots version?

Thanks, I'll have a look.  My plan was to release unfiltered versions first and see what people think, and later release improved filtered versions that take into account what people who like these old transfers want to see.  For Star Wars, I'm really keen to make a hybrid with the Technidisc.  At the moment, I'm still trying to find time to work on the positioning of the subs for ROTJ.

Yeah I'm up for an unfiltered version first.

That's not - usually - a problem I have to deal with, thank God. I don't think I'd be able to enjoy any fictional universe if I had to take subpar sequels/prequels/spinoffs into consideration.

Before I new it was supposed to be a krayt dragon call I always thought it was supposed to be a Jedi battle cry! Before I knew that  I thought the sandpeople knew of Kenobi and were scared of him.

The new one, I dont like, but to be honest never really liked any of them, the appearance of Kenobi scaring them away, as a kid, always made more sense to me than the noise scaring them.
