What version of Blade Runner was that?

The version that was recently posted to myspleen. It's a two DVD set with the first disc being a dual layer DVD that was made from an HD broadcast of Blade Runner. I haven't compared the quality with my retail DVD, but from what everyone else is saying, it puts it to shame.

No need to shrink it (afaic anyway). If I can handle an 11.5 gig Blade Runner download, I can handle these easily!

What version are you using? Nero 6 and 7 seems to burn .VOBs just fine.

I noticed that too. Aside from the THX logo going off the side of the screen (I've read the explanation and I really don't care, none of my other DVDs do that, so I don't think this one should either), I see no glaring problems with it. Of course, I'm no videophile either.

Even though it may not help, have you tried a different DVD drive or even a different computer and then copying the files over a network to the computer you're using to seed?

Actually, as one of the seeders waiting for the torrent to be posted, I'm a west coaster

Unfortunately, assuming the torrent is posted before 2pm, I won't be able to seed until after that time since I'm at work until about 1pm and then I have to go by school for some things.

If someone's going to upload it to usenet, they'll need to at least create sfv files for the rar files they post. If it's all done properly, it should be no different from a disc downloaded via bittorrent or received through the mail.

As somebody said, it has been a lot of years without a firewall or an antivirus.

If you're not running an antivirus program, how do you know you don't have a virus? It's not like Windows has some kind of built-in warning that tells you your programs are infected. I'm not dissing you or anything, but I've seen plenty of machines where the person said "I don't have any viruses and I'm not running anti-virus". Then, once an anti-virus program was installed, it turned out they had a ton of viruses running on their machine.

As for my opinion on this matter, I'm ok with however the distributor wants to distribute their stuff. The only problem I had recently was the EditDroid/Mysterious Mysteries releases. I had no idea they all had extra content until I saw the updates in the thread. At that point I just had to download the extra stuff and burn a new DVD for each one. And I try to seed everything I get off myspleen at least 1:1 if not more.

Anyway, what makes you think a clone army wouldn't all be from the same source? Or rather, why couldn't it be?
