INDY 5: GEORGE LUCAS IS NUTS
Time

Now that I didn't notice.  That's definitely an incentive to get the Blu-ray version over the standard DVD.  And it's nice that the two disc set is the same cost as the single.

That's exactly the type of thing the studios need to start doing if they really want Blu-ray adoption to take off.  That and getting Sony to license the tech to the chinese manufacturers so we can get cheap players on the market.

The format war has been over since what, March?  There's no reason a Blu-ray player should still cost over $200.  The first three I found on Amazon are all around $350.  That's just stupid.  My first DVD player, a Toshiba with built-in dolby decoders and plenty of outputs was $300.  My second player, an Apex, was $150.  The last player I got was $50 and that was 3 years ago.  Blu-ray players need to come down in price.

George Lucas wants to re-write history
Time

He's already stated plenty of times that he always intended Greedo to shoot first.  <sarcasm>Amazingly enough they just couldn't get it to work while actually filming the scene.</sarcasm>  So I have no doubt he may actually start saying other things as well.

It won't matter though.  Only the hardcore fans are going to buy the next DVD release.  Everyone else is going to be satisfied with the 04 set.  Between that and all the existing publications that say the exact opposite of what he's starting to say and there's very little possibility of him being able to convince people that it was all planned out that way from the start.

I'm happy for you bigdaddyvader.

Funnily enough, my son has already taken a liking to Star Wars.  The first time he saw it he was only a few days old :P  Most recently, he was my Interactive R2-D2 and wanted to play with it (he's never seen it on).  So I pulled it out and turned it on and he was just amazed.  He's also taken quite a liking to my Han/Chewie Millenium Falcon transformer.  Even at Christmas he picked up a lightsaber and started swinging it around without any prompting.  Must be in the genes :P

We'll see if he likes the Clone Wars movie or not.

It's probably not adults that are treating the DVDs badly.  It's the kids of those adults.  Have you ever seen a child pick up a reflective disc and handle it?  They aren't kind to them at all.  They usually pick it up, handle it a bit, then fling it across the room.  And that's assuming that when they picked it up that they didn't scrape it across the floor first (kids tend to take movies out of players and toss them on the floor).  That's also exactly why I don't let my son handle any of the movies.  If he wants to watch something, I get it and put it in the player or I bring it up on the HTPC.

You see the odd subway poster and the odd commercial. But less than what is typical--the vast majority of the buzz is from LFL itself and from fans.

The first ad for CW I saw was last night.  I was actually watching The CW when the ad came on.  Other than that, I haven't seen a single ad for The Clone Wars at all.  I don't think I've even seen any posters or billboards around for it either.

It wouldn't surprise me if CW was able to dethrone TDK this weekend.  TDK's weekend gross has been falling pretty steadily.  It might drop to as low as 20 million this weekend (it was 26 mil last weekend).  All CW has to do is beat that.  Does that make it a winner though?  Not necessarily.  If it premieres at #1 and then drops quickly, that'll be a sure sign people didn't like it.

Just look at X-Files.  It premiered at #4 and then dropped to #9.  It's not even in the top 10 after its third week of release.  That's pretty sad for a movie with a $30 million budget.

Actually, I was referring to Jay's remarks with the snotty bit, not C3PX's.  Actually, everything past the first sentence of the paragraph you quoted is referring to Jay's remarks towards me.

I wasn't out to win an argument, at least not originally.  I was having, I thought, a peaceful debate with shimy when Jay stuck his two cents in.  Actually, it wasn't so much a debate at the time as it was a conversation.  It felt like I was talking to somebody on the street and then some stranger walked up in the middle of the conversation and started poking in with comments without knowing any of the context.  Now obviously Jay has the benefit of being able to look through the whole conversation and speak his mind based on what he's read, but it definitely felt like an attack from nowhere.

We don't technically know what happened with the girl anyway.  It seems that it was interesting enough to report on 10 years ago (when it happened) and during the Republican campaign when Huckabee was running, but it apparently wasn't interesting enough to follow up on afterwards.  I'm sure there's something in a local Arkansas paper, but since I'm out here in California, I can't really use those as a source.  I've tried to find some updated reports on it, but I've come up dry.

Now I think I'm done with this as well.  At least this thread anyway.  I think this thread is going to go the same way as the politics thread.  Either way, I don't care anymore since I won't be reading it.

I'm sorry but you are a very selfish man. Go travel the world a little and see what happens in those countries where the government does not take care of the poor. And you wonder why democrats have some a low opinion of some republicans, its the ME ME ME additude, the 'i don't care for anyone except myself' veiw point that just causes them so much grief.

I stopped reading here (I will read the rest later though).

I have a ME attitude?  Just proves how much you don't know me.  Did you even read the above messages?  I have a son to take care of.  I have a mortage to pay.  I have medical bills.

I could've stayed single and chosen to horde my money (even then I didn't horde it, I once lent my sister $1000 so she could get into an apartment).  Instead, I chose to get married, buy a house, and start a family.  Everything I do revolves around my family.  I chose to start riding my bike 7 miles each way to work and back in order to save my family $100 per month in gas.  I don't like riding my bike one bit, but considering that I'd rather face that hardship then sink all that money into a car every month, I'll take the bike.

In those countries where the govt doesn't "take care of the poor", the govt also usually has policies that prevent anyone from doing anything productive.  Take a look at those countries yourself.  You've got Cuba and China, where they can come in and shut down your business or take your home, on a whim.  The difference between those two is that China actually seems to like business and Cuba doesn't.  You've got Mexico, where they'd rather educate their citizens on how to cross the northern border and survive instead of actually putting some power into the hands of the people and making some investments in private industry in their own country.  In the meantime, they've also militarized their southern border to keep people from coming in from South America.

Now I'm sorry if I have a lot more responsibilities than the average joe and make all my decisions based on those responsibilities and the consequences of my actions.  Life hasn't been easy (is it ever for anyone?) and I struggled to get where I am.  Sure, I didn't start off dirt poor, but I didn't start off with much except a good home.  We weren't rich growing up, I wouldn't even say we were well off.  We had food on the table and that's about it.  Personally, I'd like my son to have a little more than I did growing up.  But I guess I should just accept govt control of healthcare because other people need it so much more than I do.  I guess I should be willing to turn over even more of my paycheck (that I work hard for) in exchange for govt services that I'm never going to use and will probably be abused by people looking to game the system.

I did go back and read the rest of your message after typing that.  I'll now respond:

shimy said:

or getting kicked out of hospitals with major injuries just because they dont have insurance.

That does not happen here either.  Read my above messages.  It is illegal to kick someone out of a hospital.  If you go to a hospital, even without insurance, they must treat you.  That is law.  It's also why emergency rooms and hospitals are getting over run and going into debt.  They must treat you.

You say your not very weathly. Well you have a job that pays enough for you to get a computer and have the internet. That puts you head and shoulders above alot of other people.

Here you're assuming a lot.  For all you know, I could be doing this at a library.  Libraries have computers too now you know.  But I'll be honest.  Yeah,  I have a computer at work that's supplied by work.  I also have a job that lets me have one at home with Internet.  Of course, most people making even around $30k per year (that's $15 per hour) have a computer, Internet, and a cell phone.  I was fortunate earlier in life that I was able to work with computers for my job.  Would I have Internet and a computer at home if I were making less?  Sure, but I'd probably have a much slower speed connection at home and a computer that wasn't as good.  Why?  Because I would have more important things to spend my money on.  Even now I don't have the system or connection I would like because I simply do not have the money for it.

But I didn't just get all the stuff.  I didn't pop into existence for me.  I had to go to school and work my way up in the world in order to get there.  I had to not only gain experience, but gain a reputation for being a badass at what I do.  I don't accept "No" or "We can't do that" for an answer.  I always want an explanation and I always try to find a way to get something done.  And I always try to find a way to do things faster, whether through automation or eliminating unnecessary steps.

And for the record, how much biology have you studied, what do you consider to be a new life.

I consider it a new life at the moment of conception.

I am literally shocked at how appalled people get at abbortion, you know how many embryos they through in the trash at fertility clinic. Yet you never hear anyone outlawing those, hmm. If you want to call a embryo a life because it has the potiental to grow into a new person, why not take it a step further, sperm and eggs have the same potiental.

1. Yes and I am sickened by it (the fertility clinic throwing away embryos).

2. Where have you been?  There are plenty of groups that are calling for outlawing at the very least trashing the embryos and are also totally against IVF.  The Catholic religion is totally against IVF.  Many Christians are totally against throwing away embryos and would love nothing more than to have that practice banned.  Just because you don't hear about it on the nightly news doesn't mean they aren't against it.  A friend of mine did IVF and they've kept the remaining embryos frozen, even though they got twins out of the first batch, because they are staunchly pro-life.

3.  I love that "It has the potential to grow into a new person".  Does that make it easier to kill a life?  It must.  The fact is that as long as the mother is in good health and takes care of themselves, an embryo will always grow into a new person (unless there's a miscarriage or some other natural process at work).  It doesn't have "potential", it just does.  What, do we expect it to turn into a cat instead?  Or maybe a car.  Not without some kind of genetic intervention (not sure if you could get a car that way).  The baby might be born with birth defects or it might be healthy.  The point is that it's still going to come out as a human baby.

4. Um, ok.  So sperm and eggs have the same potential.  And?  Sorry, I don't see your point here.  Am I suppose to get up in arms every time my wife has her period because we didn't make it a baby instead?  That's a natural process.  An abortion is not a natural process (unless the body does it through miscarriage or something like that).

Hmm, its not a cut and dry subject when it comes to what you define as 'new life'. I wonder really what your opinion would be if you had to an incubator for 9 months.

My wife is pro-choice.  If she ever got raped, we'd both be devistated (her more so than me obviously) and I'd want the SOB dead.  If she ended up pregnant from it, I would not be ok with her getting an abortion.  I would hope that she'd agree with me and agree to keep it.  I don't know what I would do if she chose to get an abortion.  I know I'd be devistated (yes, I have thought about this).  Just because the child isn't mine doesn't mean we can't raise it in a good household.  I use to be ok with abortion in the case of rape and incest.  Then one day I thought to myself "But why is that ok?  What did the baby do to deserve it?  What crime did the child commit?".  That's when I changed my mind.  I do hope that I never have to deal with that kind of decision.  I know it's not an easy one to make, but it's one that I have already made in my mind.  But I'm not the only one whose mind has to be made.

anyway i am done in here, you just don't get it, and from this point on, its my own problem if i continue to argue with you. Your beleifs span from some fundemental values(i am not saying those values are wrong but... i donno if they are the best kind to have living in our world today), and i have little or no hope of changing your even persuading you of another veiwpoint especially on an internet forum. The only thing that will do that is if you have a real experience and go and see stuff for yourself.

Don't go.  I didn't have a problem having an ongoing debate with you.

Yes, I do have some fundamental beliefs.  Most of them stem from personal responsibility.  If bad things happen to you, even things out of your control, grab life by the horns and take control back.

For the record, I've seen plenty of places myself.  I don't like them one bit and I'm happy that my country has the freedoms it has.  I've seen homeless people on the streets of LA.  I've seen people in Tijuana hocking whatever they can in order to get by.  Yeah, the difference between me and them is that I was born here.  The only difference is that my govt didn't take a heavy handed approach to everything.  My govt made a free country where people could come from all walks of life and improve themselves, if only they have the desire to do it and are willing to work hard to make it happen.  Plenty of people have come here with less and have even more than they could ever imagine.  Check out Chris Gardner for a prime example.  Sure he didn't come from a foreign country, but that guy has been through hell and back.

I agree that I went a little overboard.  It's probably because I have rarely if ever seen Jay post in a political discussion thread.  Couple that with the insane idea that because it's the "United States" that it means we're all suddenly suppose to start taking care of each other, regardless of circumstances, and I got a little bent out of shape.

Now, do I agree with any kind of government care?  Sure, for veterans and for people who honestly have nowhere else to go.  Veterans serve this country and deserve at least some kind of services for that.

On the other hand, I am almost completely against "Universal Healthcare".  I have enough problems of my own that I don't need the govt deciding that they need to take even more of my money to help everyone else because of their situation as well.  I have a mortgage, a wife, a kid, and one more on the way.  If I have money left over at the end of the month, let me decide how best to use it.  It might go to home repairs, charity, or to help some poor shmoe on the street.  In fact, I would rather directly donate to a charity or a food bank where I know the money/food is going to go to people that need it, instead of some govt worker who's only going to do the bare minimum work necessary to get through the day.

What I really don't appreciate is the unnecessary interjection of what is essentially a national security issue into a discussion on govt provided healthcare (that's what got this going).  National security is the primary responsibility of the federal government.  So if they need to spend half a million dollars on a Clinton policy, so be it.

My feelings about this womans family and her stepdad stand.  He's a sick fuck.  They need to step up and help her out.  Especially considering that she may be developmentally disabled.  I can't even find anything recent on this whole thing, so we don't even know what happened.  Whether she got the abortion or not, she's still going to need some help from someone.  There's going to be emotional damage as well as further healthcare necessary, both because of the abortion and the incest.

I also stand by my opinion that if you want to help someone out, by all means please do.  I don't have a problem helping people out.  I do it all the time.  I have a problem with the govt saying "You have to help these people out".

I think it's a bit of bullshit that I get attacked for having a strong argument against govt healthcare and it being "our" problem, but the "Emperor" gets a pass for his snide remarks.  You're entitled to your opinion, but I fired back the way I did because of your snotty remarks.  If you want socialized healthcare so much, move to Canada.  I hear it's great as long as you don't get sick.

I don't know what the data transfer rate to watch movies in real time is but for a 20 Mb connection you maybe close to watching standard DVD movies in real time with little or no lag. I'm looking forward to the time when you can watch movies online because I hate renting them, they're always scratched, it's too expensive to buy every movie you watch, and the red box only carries movies from like up to a year ago. A lot of people are starting to post movies on youtube and the quality sucks but at least it is free and with my 4.7/640 DSL I can watch youtube videos in standard quality with no lag.

20 Mb is more than enough for a SD DVD with no lag.  DVD maxes out around 10 Mbps.  Blu-ray maxes out at 40.  It's not going to be 5 to 10 years for the technology to catch up.  Maybe 5 years tops.

If the studios do start offering HD streaming video, you can bet your ass that they'll have huge pipes serving the content.  Think multiple 10 Gb connections.  There's no other way they could serve that amount of data in a reasonable fashion.  And that's assuming the studios are even the ones that do the setup.  It's far more likely that the studios will make deals with Verizon, TimeWarner, and Comcast to serve HD movies over that existing infrastructure.  We already have HD on demand for movies that are PPV and Netflix has a set top box that you can use to stream those rentals right to your TV now too.

I dream of the day when I can watch a brand new movie (I mean brand new in theaters) directly either from my cable box or from a Netflix (or similar) account.  I'd be willing to pay about $5-$10 to be able to do that.  That way I wouldn't have to worry about a baby sitter, some dork on a cell phone, or anything else.  I could watch from the comfort of my couch.

Verizons FiOS is definitely capped right now.  Fiber can easily reach speeds over 1 Gb.  As the Internet backbone infrastructure is upgraded, your speed will slowly be increased.

Exactly. That's not a universal constant.

I'm sorry about your grandfather. His situation has no bearing on this discussion, however. He got the care he needed.

It was my father, not my grandfather.  My grandfather died of old age and possibly alzheimer's.

My father's situation has full bearing on this discussion.  The point is that her family needs to provide her with care if she doesn't have insurance.  From the sound of it, she probably doesn't.  Since it was her stepfather, her family needs to have that bastard arrested and jailed for life.  Throw away the key because that guy is just a prick.  He essentially picked on a defenseless person that probably had no idea what was going on.  Lock him up and throw away the key.  Then let the child come to term and at least have a chance at a life.  Just because he's a fucking asshole doesn't mean we should penalize the child.

My father could have just as easily been denied care knowing the survival rate.  At that point, we would have had to fight it, just like he had to fight our insurance 18 years ago to get HGH treatments for me (pituitory gland stopped functiong for some reason).  They put me through a battery of tests and then tried to deny coverage.  Unfortunately for them, their policy said we were covered and my dad wasn't going to back down.

So yes, sometimes insurance companies try to screw people.  That's exactly why people need to be aware of what's covered and then get ready for a fight.  It seems to work that way with everything these days.  From medical coverage to extended warranty's, everyone's trying to deny any coverage that's been paid for once it gets expensive.  Well, wake up and start fighting back!

lordjedi said:

Neither one of them ever got upset with the service they received. Sometimes we have to fight for what's due, but that's not a big deal when you have family that's willing to help out.

That woman's family is the ones that need to be taking care of her now. Not the State. It is not the State's job.

You assume her family is in a position to do so. Seeing as it was her stepfather that did it, it's quite likely her family is unwilling or unable.

I don't think it's the "State's" job. It's our job. How do we act in such cases? Through the State.

Or not at all, because we're a bunch of monkeys.

The State acts with the People's permission through the Constitution and the ballot box.  It looks like the People of Huckabee's State were quite satisfied with the job he did.  The State is not an autonomous machine that gets to do what it wants.

If her family is unwilling to help, then maybe they need a reality check too.  My God, family is the single most important thing you have while you're here.  The least you can do is help each other out when the time comes.

Stop trying to socialize medicine because you think it's some great panacea that's going to fix everything.  Look at the countries that have socialized medicine to see all the problems that brings.

So when was the last time a Tomahawk missile hit an Iraqi office building?  2003?  It's been 5 years, give it a rest.

And the budget deficit it's caused will be with us for quite some time to come. Think forward, not backward.

Says you.  Other economists think we can get it under control in the next 4-10 years, depending on who gets elected.

Maybe you should stick to tweaking the forums instead of poking your nose into things you don't know much about (like what some of us have been through).

Talk to me again when you've been molested and impregnated by your stepfather.

We've all been through shit. Wake up.

Have you been molested by your stepfather?  Didn't think so.  If you want to help them, then by all means, send them some money.  Until then, stop trying to get the State to take my money in order to make someone else feel better.

I've just about had it with liberals all over the place.  You have no problem taking everyone elses money in order to fix society's ills.  Wake up and realize that some of us know how to use that money better then the bureaucratic mess that is Washington, DC.  I donate plenty of money and I have no problem helping people out when they're in need.  But this woman and her family are just faceless statistics that everyone wants us to feel sorry for.  Maybe they should take up a collection in her community to get the services she was trying to get.  People can be awefully generous when you explain the situation and what you need it for.  And once again, you don't need the State to do it.

I guess it's a good thing there are plenty of health care practitioners who feel the opposite, otherwise we'd all be fucked.

And there's plenty of health care practitioners that agree with me too.  Unfortunately, they're required by law to take care of someone that comes into the ER, whether they have insurance or not.  No wonder medical costs in this country are skyrocketing.

Life is good until it's not. Let's hope you're always fortunate enough to have access to money and good medical care, and that if you ever don't, it's somebody entirely unlike you who decides whether you get treatment or the finger.

My father recently died of a brain tumor.  We don't have a lot of money.  We're not rich people, so you can shove that statement up your ass.  He got good medical care because he had good insurance and a doctor that cared.  We didn't use medicare or medicaid or anything else.  Just Kaiser (pretty sure it's Kaiser).  The survival rate for his type of brain tumor at his age (71) is less than 1%.  They operated anyway.  Twice in 6 weeks.  They were about to start radiation when the doctor determined it would be pointless (he had cancer all over his brain).  He had 1 week left to live just before radiation was started.  He lasted just under 2 weeks.

My sister died of a similar brain tumor 3 years ago.  By the time all her treatments were over, they had given her 3 months to live.  She managed to live over 2 years before passing.

Neither one of them ever got upset with the service they received.  Sometimes we have to fight for what's due, but that's not a big deal when you have family that's willing to help out.

That woman's family is the ones that need to be taking care of her now.  Not the State.  It is not the State's job.

I've been through plenty of shit in my life to know that things can go bad in the blink of an eye.  Never once have I ever wished the government would be there to help me out.  On the contrary, I want the government out now more than ever.  It seems that the more they get involved, the more they screw things up.  Look at any government service from the DMV to the IRS and tell me if you want your healthcare turning into that.  I know I don't.

Funny how people complain about where their tax money goes unless it's a $500,000 Tomahawk missile screaming towards an Iraqi office building.

So when was the last time a Tomahawk missile hit an Iraqi office building?  2003?  It's been 5 years, give it a rest.  Unlike some of the people around here, I have no problem with one less dictator in the world.

That's $500,000 in Bush dollars, so about €3 at the current exchange rate.

Haha, that's so funny.  The dollar may still be low, but it's at a 5 month high against the euro.  The way things are going, if the European Central Bank doesn't do something, the economy in Europe is going to end up worse than in the US.

And oil is at a 3 month low (and keeps dropping).  I expect it to fall below $110 per barrel either today or tomorrow.

Maybe you should stick to tweaking the forums instead of poking your nose into things you don't know much about (like what some of us have been through).

so you condon his actions there and feel that this girlsmoney should have been taken after being raped by her step father and being extemely young. You're part of the UNITED states, not a union of states. I would think that any federal law would override a state law. That being said, I would tend to agree with you if it was all abortions, however, its rape, incest, and mothers life, I think those are justified. Thats just my opinion though.

Yes, I condone his actions.  I also don't believe, and I've stated this here plenty of times, that someone else's medical needs, who I've never met, are my problem.  The UNITED states doesn't mean we all take care of each other as you seem to suggest.  It is in fact meant to be a UNION of states, hence the "State of the UNION address".

Here's the first sentence to the US Constitution:

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

I added the emphasis.  Now, find in the Constitution where it says the Federal government has the jurisdiction to provide healthcare.  You won't find it because it isn't there.  What does that mean?  It means that it's suppose to go to the states to decide.  That was the original intent of the Constitution.  The Federal government is only there for national security and a few other things.  They were never intended to do the kind of things they're doing now.

My comment might be a little ignorant I know there are certain matters that are part of a states jurisdiction and other that are federal. I just have very strong feelings for this cause on the fundemental level its such a moral outrage. This girl was already going to have problems as it was, making her carried a baby for 9 months, afterwards it just seems like you would effectively be distroying her life(mentally), for the life of an unborn child, which it could be argued would fall under the original decree.

And I would argue that that is not a good reason to take the life of an unborn child.  What, exactly, did the child do to deserve death?  It's not the child's fault it was conceived via incest.  Bring the child to term and put it up for adoption.  There are plenty of people in this country that would love to adopt a child.

I thnk the Scientology bit was brought up because he suddenly became well known not only for being the voice of Chef, but also as someone who didn't want his religion to be made fun of, but it was ok to make fun of all the other ones.  Either way I don't harbor any bad feelings towards the guy and I hope the South Park guys don't do anything to extreme (though they probably will).

And you are aware that the boulder scene in Raiders was a direct homage, or a ripoff, to a much older movie, right?  There aren't any original ideas, they're all just repackaged.  The good repackagings are done well.  The bad ones are done poorly.

Take a look at the scene in "The Rundown" when they're about to get the priceless artifact.  That's a total cross between the second trial in the Last Crusade and getting the idol in Raiders.  It was done fairly well, but even while watching it I knew it reminded me of something.

The UserFriendly comic for August 10th pokes fun of this:

That's what you say when someone good dies nowdays and so what everyone has flaws. It's not like he was Jesse Helms.

Huh?  Who are you replying to here sean?  People have always been pretty respectful of the recently departed.  It's usually good form to wait about a week before even attempting to dredge up any bad aspects of a persons life.

I believe that, according to canon, you aren't considered a Jedi Master until you successfully train a student into Knighthood.  So by that, Obi-Wan was never a Jedi Master either, since his one and only student failed :P

I could be wrong, so please correct me if I am.  I haven't read any EU since before the prequels, so they may changed all that by now.

Whoa, I think I am going to have to read Skywalking. Thanks for those quotes, sky. I really liked this quote and I think it is very true,

"Dale Pollock: I don't think he has any skill in directing good actors in any kind of film, big or small. To take talents like Samuel Jackson, Natalie Portman and Christopher Lee, and do so little with them, is almost criminal. I still don't think he enjoys directing, he only enjoys manipulating technology that doesn't talk back or have a different point of view."

I remember watching something years ago with Ron Howard.  In the interview, Howard basically said that while filming American Graffiti George took him out to lunch and essentially told him to get into animation, since he wouldn't have to deal with the actors at that point.  I believe the reason it came up is because Ron Howard had expressed an interest in directing in the future.

So it's really no secret, to those that have worked with Lucas in the past, that he'd much rather work with animation and animators than to work with actors.

I actually like the establishing shot of the X-Wings in the SE better than the original.  But I think that's the only establishing shot that looks better to me.  All the other ones look to hokey.  And I only like that shot because I agree that fighters in formation wouldn't look as perfectly straight as the original shot.

Why not Carlos Mencia?

That's pretty cold sean.

He was kind of funny with the whole Scientology thing.  He had no problem with the show when they were making fun of Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc, etc, but when they made fun of Scientology he got pissed.

We'll just have to wait and see if they do anything special in light of this.
