v2.3:

Improved audio levels for Knight’s of Ren voices so they can all be clearly heard now.

Remove Finn’s loud grunting during lightspeed skipping.

Finn yells “Rey” one less time somewhere in the movie (does it matter where?)

Stormtroopers do not sound like droids when they die: Refoleyed the stromtrooper on the speeder as he drives onto rocks and it is ramped up into the air. Refoleyed when a jet trooper is shot and lands on the ground. Refoleyed when another jet trooper flies out of control and crashes explosively into a rock formation. All done to remove the slapstick cartoon droid screams.

Removed Poe saying “we only have 8 hours left.”

Removed Poe exclaiming during the battle of Exegol, “they’re toast!”

When Rey looks to the suns, extended the shot of BB-8

Improved reverb sfx and audio level of Yoda’s voice during lightsaber burial

Finn’s line placement is really in the wrong spot, making it sound like an awkward afterthought to the battle. Moving the line to the destroyer destruction around the galaxy doesn’t work well either because it turns him into the narrator of Star Wars, similar to 300 or The Road Warrior. The final scene would be old Finn teaching at a Jedi temple (and maybe still screaming REEEYYYY).

It’s not jarring. It’s jar jarring. Which is the opposite of jarring. If you’re a gungan.

Thanks negspec13. Version 2.2 is being released today to fix a bad cut while Ren is on Exegol the first time. And with Klaud reinstated (lol just kidding about Klaud).

Version 2.2 will be released today with current pending PM requests sent.

August 27, 2020: ver 2.2 released to fix a video cut error on Exegol when Ren takes the elevator down to see Palpatine. Also now released in 3 different filesizes in High Quality, Good Quality, and Tiny Encode Quality.

All video encodes begininning with ver 2.2 customized for the content with manually defined zones in the encoder command line to increase bitrate (and quality) in specific darker scenes, especially on Exegol. Even the tiny encode file is surprisingly decent for its filesize. Recommended quality to download is Good or High, depending on your bandwith.

File details:

High Quality 8.9 GB
Highest quality, should look nearly identical to the 60 GB prores master
Video: 1080p, H264, very slow, film preset, CRF 20, Zone CRF 10
Audio: AC3, 5.1 channel, 640 kbps (audio filesize 592 MB)

Good Quality 4.9 GB
Most will probably find the video quality to be excellent; the audio should be perceptually the same as the Bluray AC3 at this reduced filesize because of the variable bitrate
Video: 1080p, H264, very slow, film preset, CRF 22, Zone CRF 15
Audio: AAC-LE, 5.1 channel, VBR (audio filesize 350 MB)

Tiny Encode 1.5 GB
Intended for test screenings or smaller screens (phones, tablets, notebooks)
Decent but lower quality; small filesize!
Video: 720p, H264, very slow, CRF 24, Zone CRF 18
Audio: AAC-LE, 2 channel,192 kbps CBR (audio filesize 180 MB)

If that’s the case I posted a new version with no artifacts from a prores render, 10 GB, 6 channel. It’s version 2.1 in the same folder.

EDIT: And I will also post a ~3 GB file for version 2.1 as well.

Don´t know if iam hallucinating, but at 0:27:02 - 0:27:10 (knights of ren round-shot) there is some kind of flickering at the head of the knights of ren (not all of them but 2 or 3, if i´m correct).

I hope you’re not hallucinating. I did not change that scene in any way.

Pet Sematary (2019): The Extended Cut by DEJ-Flounder

The theatrical 2019 film is not perfect by any means but DEJ-Flounder has improved it in a seamless way by adding in the much needed extended scenes and alternate ending which fix this film really as much as it can be. For some films, the extended scenes were deleted because they were fluff-- but here the deleted scenes add to the depth in a good way.

The alternate ending fixes the ridiculous original ending. I won’t post spoilers, just watch this edit.

Because of the incorporation of the deleted scene material which was in stereo, this is a stereo release.

Great job, DEJ-Flounder. This version has replaced my original as the definitive version.

This v 2.0 release just has stereo. My adobe premiere has some strange problems with audio quality when mixing down to 5.1. I can’t explain why. I can render to surround but the audio quality is noticeably inferior.

I will later attempt to export my project from my laptop to a pc and see if that helps. If the audio issue is fixed in doing so… then I will release a version in 5.1.

Axlanian lol. Also I’m uploading a corrected version 2. You will likely notice some audio anomalies in the version you downloaded, particularly a scream when no one is screaming. Correction will post in 5 minutes.

Version 2 released today. Contains a fix of a major video error of one scene and adds voices for the Knight of of Ren.

Thanks to Axlanian for processing the vocals for the Knights of Ren and also thanks to him, his wife, Mr. Benjamino, and poppasketti for voicing the KoR.

On second thought I think I’m going to give up on modifying Alderaan and just use the SE footage.

ha ha nice nl0428 I saw the power converters episode a few years back but not the sandcrawler one.

Now we all know why Luke wanted to go to Tosche Station so bad and pick up some power converters. His friends told him he should try lightspeed skipping a sand speeder.

A final release is now available with a final polished crawl and all the change shown in the change list. This should now fix lot of issues. PM me.

The only plans I have for an update right now are voices for the Knights of Ren once those become ready.
