Thanks Dantearant. I’ll check on that Kylo line volume. Unfortunately I can’t think of any way to show the snake as afraid. Similarly not sure how to have Ben appear alive at the end with my limited VFX skills. If there was a way to edit him in though that would be interesting maybe even worth moving the chess scene back to the beginning. But then again it’s also nice having Rey be more independent.

I went back and found what Adywan did with the hyperspace tunnel. That’s a very easy fix, especially with the static cockpit; I can matte out the windows and replace the background. Plus it would be in 4K.

No I won’t be tweaking any laser shots. But if Adywan releases at least a 1080p, I might update my release a bit more later.

I was not aware of or considering the Falcon Hyperspace shot, but I’ll double check Revisited to see what Adywan did there.

In the final space battle there are a lot of new replacement shots. I’m working on the re-foley for that. Thanks for giving me some ideas!

The acting in ROTJ is not great. From Carrie, Harry, and Mark. It’s like the editor didn’t care and grabbed the worst takes. Maybe they were practicing for the Christmas special.

Movies Remastered set up a nice watch party for his edit. I’d be interested in something similar for Ascendant if Hal was up for it.

Ok. I’ll see what I can do with those two issues. Some of the shakiest camera fighting has already been removed because it was too over the top. I do want to tone down SC38 significantly. So no levitating crates on fire.

Sorry, I interpreted this as in response to reverse audio.

Ok in vegas, you just use the slicer to isolate a small portion of audio. Then right click the clip and click reverse. The audio will play in reverse. Might be interesting. And good luck with finishing the edit however you want to do it!

Interesting take on the story. Though it’s very clear that people are speaking French in this edit complete with French accents. Now if that doesn’t strike you as weird, ok. But consider audio reversing the dialogue that is pitch shifted down so it cannot even be understood as French. You don’t have that luxury with the Gungans but you could also use something other than French for them. For a TROS edit I did, I audio reversed and reprocessed the sound of a weird cat from YouTube to use as the voice of Boolio. IMO it would be awesome if they were all no longer speaking understandable French.

Hey thanks very much. I did put some effort into that trailer. I attribute it to jonh, Hal 9000, axlanian, and many others. Without their efforts, the finale of the movie wouldn’t have been what it is! PM sent.

I’ll make this deal with you G&G-Fan, when Adywan releases his edit in HD, I’ll consider incorporating limited parts of his edit. If he only releases a 1080 I’ll be very selective about what I would upscale.

Well I don’t know yet how to fix that jump cut. But I certainly would like to and it’s simpler as it’s just one scene as opposed to fixing Vader’s chest piece throughout the film.

Ok. Thanks for explaining. I don’t think I’ll be able to fix that. But fixing the lightsaber jumpcut has to be more feasible.

Oh yes I see. But since this is episode 4, wouldn’t it have the “right” chest box lights? Maybe he got an upgrade to breathe better in episode 5 & 6 though…
