Help Wanted: anyone have the old 20th Century Fox Logo in good quality?
Time
Out of that list I had these handy:
# True Lies (1994)
# Die Hard (1988)
# Die Hard 2 (1990)
# Aliens (1986)
# Alien³ (1992)
# Predator (1987)
# Predator 2 (1990)
# Commando (1985)

I looked at em all and the best of the bunch are Die Hard 2, Predator 2 and Alien³. Alien³ is the clearest one. I can rip all 3 and upload them if you'd like? VOBs, or demuxed M2V+AC3 files? By the way they're PAL. However, this might be better since you want the best looking one. You can always replace the sound anyway.

EDIT: Well, I've just tried ripping the Fox logo and the minimum I can extract with DVD Decryptor is a chapter. Is there a ripper program that lets you specify a time range to extract?

Info & Help Wanted: to help preserve the OT... (Original Transformers)
Time
You might want to check to see if Madman's used the Rhino transfers. From what I can recall they were different. I know for a fact though that the Madman DVDs at least have the eyecatches/bumpers. I have AVIs of the entire series (I own all 6 Madman boxsets - so I'm allowed to keep these ). I could check the AVIs against the Madman DVDs if you tell me some specific things to look out for.

For what it's worth, the Madman DVDs have a 5.1 mix and no original stereo track.

On a laughable note; I've always kind of had the perverse intention of reconstructing some G2 episodes, or at least doing a transfer of the G2 VHS tapes. I think it would be a laugh and be one of those discs that you'd have just to show how much editing can screw with things (a la the variations of Thief and the Cobbler and the OHMSS Narrated Cut). I can still remember the Cybercube (was that the name?) and its over-the-top CGI transitions between scenes.

Info: Phineasbg / Oldbiff85 Release Thread------- (Released)
Time
Done a cover... sort of. After my recent stint of reconstructing custom covers I've done a rework of someone else's custom. I think this cover looks great... but I did hardly any work. Have contacted the original creator of the cover to see if they mind me sharing this modified one. If they do then I'll create one from scratch (though that'll take a week or two).

Help Wanted: for the Opening crawl for a Clone Wars edit
Time
ADM has already done a 'simple' joining of Clone Wars 1 and 2 into a 'movie'. Can't recall at the moment if there was a crawl.

Johnny Ringo is currently working on a more thorough edit of Clone Wars; editing shots, color-correcting, adding a crawl, etc. I suggest checking out ADM's disc and reading through the "Requiem for a Clone War dream" thread of Johnny's before 'reinventing the wheel'. I'm not meaning to offend, just letting you know that this might have been done before.

Alien Appendix #3: The Alien Archive (Released)
Time
Well, Uncanny Antman I apologize. I glanced over your post too quickly. I thought you were interested in getting a copy of AA#3 - not spreading the copy you have. D'oh.

In that case, PM me your email address and I'll send my trade list to you. I'm interested in some of your stuff after all: Returning to Jedi, Twilight Zone TM and Monster Squad. Also if you can elaborate in that PM about what that last disc you mentioned is.

Fezza2000, greetings from Australia. Great to see another aussie around (whether you're currently living here or not).

Capturing LD audio
Time
You're in luck as Belbucus recently captured and synced a bunch of different audio tracks to the GOUT. You need to add a 1.017 second delay or something like that but yeah, there are multiple audio tracks available in FLAC format to mux with the GOUT. Have a look around in this forum and the Star Wars Preservation one to find the thread (sorry, I'm too tired from work to track it down for you).

Alien Appendix #3: The Alien Archive (Released)
Time
I'm sure Meedermow has either sent me off a copy or will do so once DOTD #3 and #4 are done. I'm one of the few aussies here on the board (in the fanedit/preservation subforums anyway) and I'd be happy to get some stuff to you. If you're not entirely new to this send your trade list to klokwerk[at]gmail(dot)com. I don't mind PIFing the Alien Archive disc but maybe we can expand each others' collections.

Waterworld ABC Cut? A ton of info - see McFly's posts for details (Released)
Time
Hrm. Someone could get both versions and meld them together to restore the censored audio and any visual cuts for violence or whatever. The non-watermarked version could also be tracked in to cover that little patch with the watermark. That would be the most complete and uncensored version of this cut, no? Except of course, if a widescreen version of this cut were to ever be released. C'mon studio peoples... releasing this cut on a double-dip of Waterworld would make you money. Just think "Extended Edition with OVER 40 MINUTES of EXTRA footage!!". You pull that crap with extended editions that have 8 extra minutes.

Anyway, I'd just like to say I'm still interested in just seeing it. I really hope that both versions make their way to ReverendBeastly and either or both can be uploaded.

The Empire Strikes Back - The Vintage Edit (Released)
Time
Thanks thundercracker.

Btw, can someone direct me to the post that details how to create histograms? I'd like to try something different. I want to create a histogram of the original 'The Matrix' DVD and use that to change the color on the regraded transfer from the boxset. Not to distribute or anything. Just to get a feel for working with these things. I figure this is the simplest one for me to attempt at the moment.

I imagine another interesting, albeit ambitious, thing to try would be to remove the color casts from lord of the rings using a number of bits and pieces around the place.

Could someone please post that histogram zip to yousendit or something else? I usually don't have problems with Rapidshare... but I was downloading something which I accidentally canceled and now Rapidshare won't let me download as it thinks I'm still downloading that file. I tried refreshing my router and whatnot... to no avail.

Please, someone help me out with the histogram goodness.

The "EditDroid" Trilogy DVD Info and Feedback Thread (Released)
Time
I'll take that as a compliment, Harlock.

I guess I could make mine available? Although I thought I read that someone else had done similar to my version. In any case, I'd want a hi-res version of the image on the back cover there before I make mine available. The one I have is quite low-quality and I can't seem to find the hi-res version I thought I had.
