***Hi-Res Star Wars Image Submission Thread***
Time
Mr. Freeman:
All of those are great. I don't have the first image at all, so a TIFF is excellent, I have the other two but at slightly lower resolutions, so please send those 3 images my way. My email address is - klokwerk at gmail dot com - I have to write it like that due to the email scanning thingies around. But you can of course see what my address really is. Thanking you most kindly. Please keep the details/images in your posts, as I can use these to give credit where credit's due. Thanks again.

***//BUILDING EMPIRE\\: PAL & NTSC DVD - NEW EDITION NOW ONLINE! ***
Time
I think "quicktime H.264" needs QT7 only available on Mac.

I've downloaded the 2nd version and that works. It's a nice little preview. I haven't actually seen much behind-the-scenes Star Wars stuff. I've yet to obtain and watch all of these great discs people have put together. So the footage snippets in there were interesting.

Just out of curiosity, how much of ESB do you think you've covered, that is, what percentage of completion is this project at?

Info & Help: looking for... other ld-rips to dvd movies ex. blade runner int cut, songs of the south, frighteners dir cut - and much much more...
Time
I don't know why they're bothering with the re-release of the Ghostbusters films. *shakes head* I'm glad I read about all this though, as now I can buy the original discs instead of wasting my money on the new set.

Also, I just found (whilst reading about Rat Race), that the movie "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963)" is 155 minutes on DVD. Whilst I'm unsure of any VHS releases of this film. I've found that there's a LaserDisc of this title that runs 188mins and has the "Little Less Serious" doco on it. Worth preserving I think. Just throwing that out there.

Episode II: Shroud of the Dark Side (the TM edit) (Released)
Time
Rebel11_38:
Perhaps you could PM me with a template/settings whatever to do the crawl exactly like you. I have created some music videos of me and my friends from our final school year, and at the beginning of one of them I wanted to use a Star Wars crawl. I got very close to a good one before my system went shitty and I eventually ditched the idea. Yours looks 100% genuine! Perhaps in a week or two if I was to give you the text you could make one for me? I would be very greatful!

In fact, if you wouldn't mind, PM me and we can talk about it over PMs.

The Official Greencapt 'Batman & Robin: De-Assified' Edit thread (Released)
Time
Gillean:
No worries mate!

I told BabyHum that if he wishes to make me an Australian distributor of his discs that's cool by me. I can't really afford to get all these discs from everyone (too much postage cost what with me being in my last few months of school). Actually, I'm not sure if he's still doing that deal, but the same goes for anybody else who wants to spread their DVD releases. I will gladly accept your discs - though I can't pay for any postage or anythin - and then anyone in Australia can get them from me (for free or a very minimal postage cost).

I hope to be able to pay postage to people for discs once this year's over, but for the time being I can only get discs if they're being offered for free. :/

Idea & Info: a Preservation of Alien Evolution doco?
Time
I guess down here in Australia we're lucky. Because of the problems with the whole mail-in system for the disc in the states, we just got it inside the Legacy boxes.

Ash595:
Yep. Well that sounds right. I'll have to hunt down Alien Saga and the uncut Alien Evolution. Do you have them? That is; should I PM you?
Also that "To the Galaxy and Beyond" DVD looks interesting.

Just one more question. The "Making of Alien 3" not the one on the Quadrilogy, but the older one (22-ish minutes), does that have anything that isn't on the Quadrilogy? I ask this because I think it might. We all know the drama about the shooting of the third film and maybe some of that is on there. I am still annoyed they cut down the new "Making of" because of that. I really wanted to see Fincher's struggle against the producers/studio.

HI-Res Poster Art
Time
Yoda is Your Father:
Thanks!

Everybody:
I've been collecting as much hi-res Star Wars art as possible, and if I manage to collect enough, they'll all make their way to Rikter for inclusion in the next cover DVD torrent. That DVD is supposed to include fonts, templates, and much, much more than just covers this time around, so please everybody send me all the hi-res pieces you can find!

Idea & Info: a Preservation of Alien Evolution doco?
Time
I believe Ash595 has summed it all up.

I just picked up a double-disc DVD on ebay that had the original 20th Anniversary Edition of Alien and the Alien Legacy disc. I felt that even though I have the Quadrilogy set, I needed the legacy doco DVD and the commentary/isolated score/alternate music tracks on the Alien DVD.

I'd love to get a copy of the Alien Saga DVD and now that I know that a small, but significant enough amount of material has been trimmed from the Alien Evolution doco I'd love to get that. I actually just acquired a (fairly crappy) VHS rip file of the "Making of Alien Resurrection". I was wondering if this was on the original Alien Resurrection DVD? I know the Making of Alien 3 was on the Alien 3 DVD. Are there any other Alien bits and pieces on the Legacy DVDs or other sources that aren't on the Quadrilogy set?

X-Factors - Blade Runner Project (* unfinished project *)
Time
I have the following Blade Runner soundtracks in mp3:

* 1995 Gongo Edition (European Bootleg)
* 2-Disc Esper Edition v2.0
* Los Angeles 2019 <- Might be good for menus and such. Contains ambiences and atmospheric tracks.
* Deck Definitive Edition

And of course I'm sure I have the official soundtrack somewhere and possibly the orchestral CD (the first official soundtrack release for the film).

Let me know if any of these might help you.

Idea & Info: a Preservation of Alien Evolution doco?
Time

I’ve just purchased the Alien Quadrilogy - after much research/reading reviews. Interestingly, the doco “Alien Evolution” is trimmed. On this collection it is purely the first film. The original one featured all 4. I’m sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere or whatever, but does anybody know anyone that preserves Alien material? It might not have as big a fanbase as Star Wars but I’m sure there are some completists out there who must own everything Alien.
