Info Wanted: A Nightmare on Elm St. SE Laserdisc Preservation??

evilmouse:
Digitalfreak has the LD set as he's said, but I think he mentioned that because it includes all the deleted scenes and such. I wasn't aware of any version having that extra splash of blood. I don't even think the LD includes it and if that's the case then a transfer of the pre-cert VHS would be cool and maybe clip that scene out and include it with the LD extras if a supplemental disc is to be made.

Isolated Score Tracks - Your Wishlists
Time
It's great to see such a response to this thread

I wanted to add a series that I'd actually forgot to list in my first post: Halloween. I've got 6 Halloween CDs so far, there are 4 left before I have them all. I would really like to see isolated scores of these. That's why I set about purchasing them. I have the Varese releases for 1-6. I need to get the 20th AE for the first Halloween, Halloween Resurrection, Halloween H20 and Halloween: Returns to Haddonfield (this is the convention soundtrack).

Rikter I wholeheartedly agree with Transformers and the Hisaishi scores. If I was to find someone with the actual CD of the complete score for Transformers (as opposed to the complete score in MP3 that I and many others have) that would be a high priority one for me to do, and I intend to get the NTSC DVD of Transformers: The Movie anyway (as well as the Metrodome Reframed one, or whatever it was called).

It's nice to see some replies already. Thanks Rikter & Ell.

Oh and Rikter....

Here's my list of CDs that I plan to use one day (with the ones I have in bold):
* Planet of the Apes (Official CD - contains a suite of music from "Escape")
* Beneath the Planet of the Apes CD
* Conquest of / Battle for the Planet of the Apes CD
* Escape From the Planet of the Apes (Pony Canyon bootleg CD)
* Escape From the Planet of the Apes (Soundtrack Library bootleg CD)
...and possibly:
* Planet of the Apes Live-Action TV Show Score CD
* A german compilation CD which may feature an exclusive track (it's called "Ape Shuffle")

I was sure that I'd read about a release for the music of the animated POTA show, but I must have been getting confused with the live-action show's CD.

Isolated Score Tracks - Your Wishlists
Time
Hey there, everyone.

I've been a bit miserable lately settling into Uni life, having to deal with less money and less time to spend on my hobbies, family, friends and girlfriend. Anyway, when I get depressed I dig deep into my movie music collection and listen to my favourite stuff for a while. So, I'm not offering to create isolated score tracks - but I am asking which ones you think should exist and why. Think of this thread as a simialr one to the "Fan Edit Request Thread". Please, everyone who enjoys film scores (and being primarily Star Wars fans here, there should be a few John Williams fans at least ) join in with your ideas.

By the way, I'm a fan of this way of thinking: If the movie is wall-to-wall with music, that's just fine to have an isolated score. However, if there are significant breaks in the score, then there should be commentary by the composer in those breaks.

I have a lot of music and if I had the time and NTSC DVDs of my movies I'd make some tracks, but since I can't I've listed mine below in the BIG list that compiles all your wants/wishes/suggestions.

***//BUILDING EMPIRE\\: PAL & NTSC DVD - NEW EDITION NOW ONLINE! ***
Time
Jambe Davdar:
I received "Building Empire" today. I have to say that the menus, menu transitions and the extras are all great. I have yet to watch the actual documentary, but I will watch it tomorrow morning. The disc is much more professional-looking than the original version you made (I think it was 1.0 you sent me). Anyway, thanks again for this great disc!

My Re-Edits of The Pink Panther: 'The Pink Panther Strikes Again - Extended' (Released)

Ronen:
You have to go into your settings here on the board and turn PMs on first. It's a silly default that stops all new users from receiving PMs straight away.

Fanfiltration, just wanted to say I am interested in this idea of yours and hope that you can go through with it (find the best-quality DVDs before starting).
