***The Custom DVD Cover Request Thread***
Time

Never mind, found a beautiful one.

I started a cover set with the forthcoming DVDs' visual (one for the OT, one for the PT), but I have no idea what to put on the back. If anyone wants to give it a shot, here are the PSDs:

Thanks in advance.

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)

I don't think I should care as I "only" have a 32" HDTV with no other audio equipment other than the built-in speakers, but I think including a DTS-MA track, just like on the official Blu-ray, would be like sending a good "message" to Lucas. A message we'd keep to ourselves, of course. And, of course, we'd enjoy it greatly, thanks to Hairy_hen's work.

Woot!

I'd just mux the basic mixes available and let everyone mux other tracks, and let us grab the new mixes when they're available so we can mux them. But it might be too much work to send these wherever we are supposed to find them and everyone can't be aware of how to do that.

these are just my two cents.

Chewtobacca's version is available on myspleen. If you need an invite, PM me. If your DVD player supports 720p, can you check on the package if it also supports AVCHD? Maybe it does, as I see no point in supporting 720p, unless there's a USB port on it. In that case, I'd just not bother and convert it with Handbrake using the "high profile" preset to keep the 720p format.

Can I get this to play on a DVD player in any way?

Of course, just grab MKVtoolnix and convert the 2.1 version, then burn it to disc, all modern DVD players should be able to play MKV file. I ran into some problems with it, but that doesn't mean you will.

Unless you have a Sony player, they apparently have problems reading MKVs. My Sony Blu-ray player can't read them, while I have no problem with my mom's LG. If yours can't read MKVs, grab Handbrake, drag and drop Harmy's DeEd and convert to mp4. It should work in my experience.

Harmy's Despecialized Editions are AVCHD discs, which can't be played in a standard DVD player. You'll need either a Blu-ray player for playing on a TV, or a standard DVD-DL reader and a software like VLC to play them on a computer. See, AVCHDs are, by their structure, Blu-rays that hold on a DL-DVD, that's why a standard DVD player can't read them.

If you want to select the language, you'll have to press the "Language" button on your remote until you find it (as there's no menus, except on the 2.5 Blu-ray Harmy is about to release), but you'll have to add it first in Mkvmerge (aka Mkvtoolnix) and mux it to an AVCHD disc with TSMuxer.

Hope it helps.
