They're awesome! Thanks again.
What do you mean?
Perfect. Thank you so much!
EDIT: I just caught on that, but you might want not to call "Star Wars" "A New Hope" on a cover for Despecialized Editions. :)
For the boxset. The ones for the individual films are perfect as they are, thanks.
Thanks for the covers.
Your trilogy cover is awesome as well. Could you make a 15 mm one for the current DeEds? I'll take the 25 mm as well, as I'll get Harmy's extras once he'll release them. Thanks in advance.
Thanks. I made one myself out of the real Steelbook edition but for a plastic case. I guess Photoshop just isn't my strong suit.
Your "Arrow" covers are very nice btw. Any chance I could get them?
Has anyone besides Harmy made a Trilogy Blu-ray cover (A single cover for the 3 movies)? Thanks in advance.

Well a higher bitrate doesn't necessarily mean a better quality. For example it looks like there is less grain in my version
Since when does "less grain" mean "higher quality"? Usually less grain means that the image has either been filtered or the compression is strong enough to swallow the grain.
Don't forget: On film grain is usually GOOD.
But: Did the French broadcast come with French crawls in HD? I'd be interested in those. Also I'd REALLY like to have the "Empire of Dreams" doc in German (though it's edited down from the DVD version). It'd be great if you could upload it :)
I don't know much about digital video, but I knew grain was good, though I thought it was even better without it. I can't tell if the crawls are in HD (they aired at the same resolution as the rest of the movie), plus I guess they are also cropped as well.
And about the documentary it's sadly not "Empire of Dreams" (which also aired last night after EP4 but the image quality was terrible and it was only dubbed in French), it's the one that aired on Arte on saturday here in France (which you should have in Germany as well), so of course i have the two dubs (French and German) which I muxed and uploaded on the spleen. Its German title is "Die Saga" ("Les origines d'une saga" in french ("The Origins of the saga")).
Well a higher bitrate doesn't necessarily mean a better quality. For example it looks like there is less grain in my version, but while comparing both clips, I just realized they cropped the picture. I am uploading a clip of the same segment to my mega account so you can look by yourself, but I think there is no point in keeping this as you and Harmy said. I just wanted to be helpful mostly for Empire and ROTJ as I knew of this German broadcast for ANH but not for the sequels. I also recorded a documentary on the whole saga dubbed both in French and German that I might put on the spleen and these once they all aired. I didn't record Episodes I and II though since I hate them and was at my cousin's for the holiday season.

Versions pre-2.0 were sourced from an HDTV airing of the 2004 SEs, which is what this sounds like. I'm not sure it would be any use to Harmy, but you could start another thread to see if anyone else would like to take a look at it.
I suspected they would air the 2004 master since when I first watched SW in 1993 it was on the same channel, and they used the 1977 version then (some guy uploaded to YouTube the opening he recorded on that day).
Well it's 1080p @7339 kbps according to Media Info... But some people complained it was a DVD upscale after ROTS aired last week.
Hi Harmy.
French TV channel M6 is currently doing a Star Wars marathon in HD. Of course they're airing the SEs, BUT NOT the 2011 Blu-ray version. IE, R2D2 is NOT hiding behind his rock and Ben's scream is not changed if I'm not mistaken. I recorded it on my computer just in case, and will record Empire next tuesday and ROTJ the week after that, as I know you're using such SE HD footage to undo some of the Blu-ray changes. Let me know if you're interested in these. Only thing is it's horribly sped up. Good luck with school and other things in life.
I created a Windows 7 virtual machine on my Mac, downloaded and installed iTunes 10.5, when I launch it with my dad's iPad plugged in, it says it can't access the iPhone update server and therefore, I can't access the iPad. I tried with and without TinyUmbrella (program which helps downgrade iOS devices) with no luck. And on my Mac, I can't downgrade iTunes as I'm on the latest OS X version (10.9). I will try again later or tomorrow but it looks like a dead end. Our luck would be if someone has a 1st gen iPad, which is now obsolete, but its maximum iOS version is iOS 5.1.1, exactly the one we're trying to downgrade to.
Thanks, I'm gonna give it a shot, as I do have the blobs for iOS 6.1.2 which is jailbreakable.

We need someone with an iPad on iOS 5.1.1 in order to move forward.
If someone can tell me how to backup my SW:KOTOR savefile, then I'll definitely downgrade my iPad to iOS 5.1.1.
As I said on Harmy's thread, I am willing to downgrade my dad's 3rd gen iPad (and he doesn't care at all) if I can. He finally gave it to me, it's charging atm.
@AnctuFaalb: As I told you on Harmy's thread, you should have synced your iPad BEFORE downgrading iTunes on your PC.
EDIT: Well, s**t! Looks like I deleted the shsh blobs for this iPad on my computer, and being an A5X device, I can't downgrade. And of course I guess 6.1.3 is too new for removing the DRMs...
Well, just sync it with iTunes. It should save the file in the process. I had several iOS devices for the past years and I was always able to resume my games after a restore.
Oh I guess you mean after downgrading iTunes? I guess you's have better luck by doing all this in a virtual machine or on a second partition.
Really, I can use my dad's, he doesn't use his and even wants to return it to me but we keep on forgetting every time we see each other.
I could try to borrow my dad's 3rd gen iPad and downgrade it (I bought the books yesterday) to try my luck, but it won't be before saturday. I guess it might work on a virtual Windows machine.

But apparently at some point I must have said something about it, because when I said we were gonna watch Star Wars, he rolled his eyes at me and sighed and said: "It doesn't have dinosaurs in it, does it?" When I assured him there would definitely be no dinosaurs, he seemed more interested.
BroncoSport said:
The hopes of a great Star Wars experience were shut down when the BluRay disc was stopped as soon as the first dinosaur was seen in the "new" film... yuck!!!
This is certainly OT, but did I miss something??? Are there dinosaurs in the 7,8,9 sequels?
I think he talked about the Dewbacks.

No matter what we get, it can't be worse than the Blu-ray's menu (and version of the movie, of course).
Actually, I thought the official Blu-ray menus were really well done. Can't say much for the special editions, but Lucasfilm obviously had some $50,000-plus software at their disposal to create the menus.
Well I think they're awful and unpractical, especially for the bonus discs. But as we say in France, "Tous les goûts sont dans la nature" (All tastes are part of the nature). :)
Personally, I prefer by far Deho's menu. With Harmy's animation... Yum!
No matter what we get, it can't be worse than the Blu-ray's menu (and version of the movie, of course).
Which SE DVDs do you have? The ones from 2004 (with a single bonus DVD for the trilogy) or 2006 (with a bonus DVD for each movie)?
I understand what it is that you feel towards giving money to Lucas. Personally, I couldn't process how the hell is Hayden Christensen appearing in a 20+ years old movie the first time I watched Jedi. But it's a fan edit/preservation rule to own the sources used for making them, even if it doesn't make it 100% legal. And for v2.0 onwards, you'll even need to get the Blu-rays or whatever format it will be made from.

SECAM? What is this, the VHS era?
ROTJ Despecialized is based on the frame count of the PAL disc but run at NTSC film speed (from 25 to 23.9 fps). You'll need to take your EU disc, rip it and change the speed appropriately.
The québécois version is NTSC and does not completely match up with the PAL version frame for frame.
Lol I knew I was writing something wrong but couldn't put my finger on it.

Sorry if this has been already answered, but i could'nt find this...
Has anyone have a link the the french dub track for this one? I am really tired that my kid has to see Lucas butchered version.
Thanks for the help!
Well you're supposed to own the GOUT to download this, the problem being if you're a French speaker from Europe like me, you can't just extract the audio from the EU GOUT because it would be PAL, and Harmy's DeEd are SECAM. If you're from Quèbecois, then you can just grab it from your ROTJ GOUT disc.
