Interestingly enough, Mark Hamill said in a recent webchat that he and Bob Anderson always wanted to do crazy saber twirls and one handed style fighting in the OT (similar to what we see in the PT duels) but that the word from Lucas was always "its heavy, its like excalibur, you can't swing it around like that it takes a lot of effort because of the weight". But this logic seems to have been abandon in the PT.

Heavy? A lightsaber blade is freaking made of energy! It has no mass. It has no weight. A small child could swing a Lightsaber

Finally we agree on something. Lightsabers are not heavy but they do generate heat.

There are a few people (let's say, about +80% of the world population) who hasn't watched it. Maybe some of those people will get interested in buying it. And a lot of people don't ever REMEMBER there was a special edition. And most of the fans will just say "oh well, i hate this version, but... i gotta buy it." And I wouldn't call idiots any of these kinds of people. If people want to buy it, let them buy it, it's not fair calling people idiots just because they want to watch the SE. And I bet that if the original classic version was released on DVD at the same time, SE would still sell a lot of copies, because ordinarie people would think "ok, this version has more scenes on it. why would I spend money on the other version?"

True I am just saying people should always research a product before they buy it. I am buying these for sure.

The force is still mystical. The midichlorians just explains why some can use the force better then others and why droids can't use the force. It also made Anakin a virgin birth. He was concieved by the midichlorians. This gives Anakin as more of a Christ like figure. He was born of virgin mother, birth was prophsised long before he was born, he is tempted by the dark side (devil), he begins off with special powers and without sin, he dies to save everyone. Oviously Jesus never went nuts before saving everyone but there are definute similaritys.

Eros. I don't want to sound mean but that has to be the stupidest list I have heard in a while. The midichlorians was a very cool idea. Death Star plans was awsome. The original wampa and sarlacc scenes suck. The new versions are much better. Probably Han shooting first is the only thing I agree with you on.

and Lucas is not a good man... he is an ass for not giving the public what they want....

Your the ass and he doesn't have to give you shit.

The Special Editions made alot of money. From what I hear the Special Editions made almost 500 million at the box office. I am sure most Star Wars fans saw them. Those who have been oblivious for years about the excistance of such versions and how different they are are either idiots or non Star Wars fans. I don't see why non Star Wars fans would buy a Star Wars DVD. And the idiots who buy this thinking its the originals deserve to loose there money.

And Luke Skywalker, yes, the OT has accomplished more, but hey, matte lines don't sell toys, and videogames, and thats what señor Lucas wants! Money! So he can build his own Death Star and blow Earth to bits.

Actually Lucas has stated that he would like to make such version since before Attack of the Clones came out. He confirmed he has already film scenes to be added back into the trilogy. Lucasfilm hasn't confirmed it because it might slow down the sales of the current DVDs but there coming. Id bet alot of money on it. Lucas has also said "do something special with the trilogy after Episode 3." Digital bits stated that they will come. Question: Why wouldn't Lucas make these?

It depends on the signal. Every TV has a maximum resolution. There are some expensive televisions that handle 1920 x 1080 progressive. But such a grand television wouldn't be much use since HDTV broadcasts are either 1080i (1920 x 540) or 720p (1280 x 720). It is unknown when 1080p broadcasts will start. HD-DVDs will support full 1920 x 1080 resolution so I guess such televisions will be great for HD-DVDs.

Didn't sign it myself but I did tell a friend about the website and he signed it. No I don't really care the secret is to not give a rats ass. I agree with some sentiments here I wouldn't mind Lucas releasing the originals. I just arguing against those who think the prequals are inferior to originals or think that Lucas owes them something.

Plot holes in the SW saga
Time
All the stormtroopers are clones. The words Clone Wars is used in A New Hope. They are clones of Jango Fett same as the ones in Attack of the Clones. Yes I believe "Aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper" does imply they are all identical. If the empire was simply recruting troops they would come in all different sizes. Even if they prefered larger size they would need alot of troops and there would be Stormtroopers Lukes size. Mark Hamil is not that short. There is no evidence they are not clones. They do all look the same proportions.
