Who knows, Lucas' explanation, if any, will be just as bad as the whole midichlorians thing.

From what I hear Revenge of the Sith will explain this

Maybe it goes something like this

Obi-Wan: Master the damn kid you wanted me to train is fucking up the galaxy
Qui-Gon: I know you pick up alot of things up hear
Obi-Wan: One more thing why didn't you vanish when you died
Qui-Gon: I did. Did you check my pulse. YOU BURNED ME ALIVE.

Besides Palpatine was just arrogant. And Jango Fett's death rules.

You honestly thought Natalie Portmans preformance was poor. Are we looking at the same girl

More problems with Return of the Jedi

The Empire would be stupid enough to build another death star after how easily that last one was destroyed.

Beginning is very very slow

Nothing in the movie is too unexpected. Not like the excelent twists of The Empire Strikes Back

Obi-Wans ghost was done wrong. The way he appeared and disappeared in The Empire Strikes Back was perfect. Here he walks around and talks to Luke like a guy off the street.

Ian Mcdarmid as the Emperor rocks. Thats one of my favorite scenes in the trilogy. That can't make up for things like ewoks beating stormtroopers, Bobas sucky "death", executer gets destroyed by a ship 1/1000000 its size, no major characters die. Also like Lucas said its all fake. Puppets or digital characters its all the same. It all ain't real. So people saying too much CGI I think don't have a clue.

I don't fully agree with this change but it does make sense in some ways. First of all most of his organs and all of his limbs and mechanical. From what I hear Revenge of the Sith will provide a better explaination of this change. Shaw there or Hayden both versions provide a message that you can be an evil nutcase and do the most dispicable things but if you redeme yourself in the last few minutes you can spend iternaty in peice. Putting Hayden there doesn't do anything for or against this very wrong message.

This is why it is as light hearted as it could have been. Attack of the Clones progresses to a time where the whole galaxy is at the brink of a massive war. The result is the movie has a much darker tone and is alot less of a kids movie. Its tone was much darker then Return of the Jedi and a bit darker then A New Hope. However The Empire Strikes Back is still the darkest and most adult of the series. Revenge of the Sith is the beginning of the empire and the slaughter of the Jedi Knights. This is the most dark time in the series and the movie is going to reflect.

Sigh, ROTS is not the slaughtering of the Jedi. They are not going to show the violent killing of the Jedi on-screen. Vader himself hunts down and kills them, and he only shows up for a little bit in the movie. So that part's happenning off-screen. And Attack Of The Clones was not dark...at all. Especially not darker than ROTJ. Whether you think so or not, Jedi had the darkest story arc involving the Emperor. There's no way Backstreet Boy killing some tusken raiders was darker than that.

Words from Natalie Portman "Its pretty sick" Is Natalie Portman a lier too now huh?

If by liar you mean sucky actress, then yes. Of course she's going to hype the movie. I'm sure she's done it for the last two and they weren't even good.

Don't diss Natalie Portman. She is as brilliant as she is gorgous. She can act with the best of them. She also really looks great. Grevious will do most of the Jedi killing in the movie. We saw this in Clone Wars. While the scene contained no blood it did included some Jedi being wiped out in a quite shocking manner for a cartoon. I think the tone of Clone Wars will show up in Episode 3. I definutly believe we will see some shocking Jedi killing on screen. I will be quite dissipointed if we don't get such a thing. Samual Jackson stated that he will die and will go out with a bang. Attack of the Clones is the second darkest Star Wars movie. It includes the death of 200 Jedi and the beginning of a war that will plunge the galaxy into chaos. While Return of the Jedi ends with dancing around a fire and a time of peace and hope for the future. Return of the Jedi blew alot of opportunities to be dark. Harrison Ford begged for Han Solo to die but George wouldn't allow it. Lando was going to die but they changed there minds. Empire is overthrown by fucking teddy bears. It is not a dark movie at all.

You oviously don't understand that George Lucas made The Phantom Menace so damn light hearted because of the fact that he new Revenge of the Sith will be so dark.

You do realise that makes no sense don't you? But then again, Lucas has never made any sense in the way he makes movies.

Yeah that too.

No the scene was a pic of Vader's unmasking.

Far and away the emotional highpoint of the series.

True but such good moments are only redeeming factors to a movie thats flawed compared with all the other Star Wars movies. It can't make up for how Boba and the Excecuter have sucky deaths (expanded universe says Fett survived but this does not redeem the scene at all), ewoks beating Stormtroopers, and the way way too happy ending.

Well, I'm just glad I've got the OOT in widescreen on VHS.

Lucas explains why in the commentary. Anakin Skywalker died when he became Darth Vader. "The good man who was your father was destroyed" His spirit appears young because it was his last true form. Obi-Wan and Yoda were good there who lives so them as old people was there last true form. If you think about it this change makes sense. Logically if his spirit was the way he died in the end he would not have hair, skin, or limbs.

First of all, the movie isn't even out yet. There's no proof it will "rock". And there is MUCH doubt. Once again, I don't know what universe you're living in, but there is no doubt that Jar Jar WILL BE IN THE MOVIE, so don't claim he won't to support your position. JAR JAR IS PRESENT. Let it be known. And I'm sure there will be cheesy love dialogue between Anakin and Padme. Just why in the hell wouldn't there be? This is the movie where they are split up by whatever's going to happen. There is no doubt going to be some major crap going on bewteen, so I'm sure there will be cheesy love dialogue. They sucked together in AOTC and I'm sure they'll suck here. If they don't, I'll be shocked.

Regarding "General Grevous" (oooh..scary), he won't be the best villain ever. How can you even say that? Vader is the best ever.

I'm pretty sure most of the killing of the Jedi happens off-screen. Lucas isn't going to catalogue the killing of the whole race in the movie. He's said again and again that he caters to his audience and they are going to be PG. Get PG-13 out of your head, he's not going to try and shock little kids like you think. Otherwise, he wouldn't have made the first two, especially TPM so cutesy. Windu dies, Dooku dies, and possibly Padme dies. That's it. I'm pretty sure he's not going to show them all getting their heads cut off. The deaths in the film have all been handled so that they aren't that shocking. This will be no exception.

Trust me.

Vader is my second favorite villian ever. First being The Terminator. I do agree with you guys Vader is definutly the best villian in Star Wars so far. Still I have hope Grevious will be even better. The way he taunted those Jedi and then poped in and wiped them out was just awsome. Grevious has it all. A scary look, brilliant mind, incredible power, no mercy. Strange all my favorite villians are cyborgs. Jar Jars role in the movie will be smaller then it was in Attack of the Clones. Don't tell me if its true but I expect him to bite the dust too. Anakin and Padme will be separated through the majority of the flick so don't expect any cheesy romance. George Lucas himself stated he doesn't expect this movie get a PG rating. Things like the Rise of the Empire and the Jedi dying not to mentions Anakins horrible burns that put him in that suit can't be done right and still get a PG rating. You oviously don't understand that George Lucas made The Phantom Menace so damn light hearted because of the fact that he new Revenge of the Sith will be so dark.

No doubt Revenge of the Sith will rock. People often complain about cute characters like Jar Jar and ewoks and cheesy love dialog. None of that will be in Revenge of the Sith. It will be a much darker movie then The Empire Strikes Back which is currently the darkest. It will also be action packed. Want a great villian Grevious is that. Grevious rocked in Clone Wars and if he can be that cool in the movie (which he surely will) he will be the best villian ever. He is essentially a Star Wars Terminator. Seeing the rise of Vader will be something I have been wanting since I can remember. Seeing nice Anakin become such an evil phyco will be something to see. Also seeing a movie where the bad guys win and more then half of the character bite the dust will be something that will likely shock many kids. Personally I can't wait to see the Sith get theres.

For the record, nobody said that Bush is the perfect president, but at least he is trying. He is doing things rather than just going on and on about a "plan" that he can't really explain.

Kerry once said that he wouldn't know what needed to be done until he got to the whitehouse (and they say Bush is arrogant) and that Bush might have screwed it up too bad to fix. And at the end of that paragraph he said. "I have a plan."

Serioulsly. Funny stuff, no?

Even if Bush did have ulterior motives for going into Iraq (as if liberation of opressed people is sinsiter) there is no way in the bowels of heck, or the spice mines of Kessel that John F. Kerry should be the president. If you truly hate Bush, then just vote for Nader, please.

Id definutly take Nader over Kerry anyday. Thats not saying much considering how much I hate John Kerry.

I am not defending the electoral college but in the 2000 election that was the law and you can not change the rules after the election. Thats changing the rules after the ball game. To say that Bush stole the election because the current law declared him the winner is completly imature. Al Gore was a stinkin sore loser. I am glad we have the electoral college if it prevented him from running this country.

a 4 layer 100 gigabit disc would be some feet. With that you could fit the entire 4 disc Lord of the Rings extended edition set in high definition on one Blu-Ray. Another very exciting prospect.
