Dude HD-DVD discs use the same DVD manufactoring plants. So I doubt that it would cost more then a 13 disc SD-DVD set would in 2002. Probably around $120.

Was the cell bay changed I couldn't tell. It looked like the lightsabers were better but I could be wrong. The third one is just an example of remastering not a change.

The DVDs coming in 2004 are not exactly the same as they were in 1997. A few small modifications have been made. Of course Lucas is far to busy with Episode 3 to do as many changes as he would like. The result in 2007 for the 30th aniversery of the saga there will be Ultimate Editions. These versions will include added effects and scenes to give all six films connection. New scenes for the original trilogy have already been shot during the production of the prequels. We can only guess what he has planed at this point but Ultimate Editions are definutly coming.

It's 2007 and the Star Wars Trilogy HD-DVD comes out. GL says that the original version is also in the set.
So we all buy it and pop it into our player. It seems the main feature is a ultimate edition with tons of hoopla and BS mixed in.
Then when we select 'original version' we get what we now refer to as the 1997 Special Edition.

Sad thing is, I can actually picture this happening.

Just read above. Both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray will have 6x the picture. Both formats will have a signifigant improvement in sound but HD-DVD is the better of the two in sound. Neither formats will have more room for extras unless those extras are in Standard Definition. I assume Star Wars saga will hit HD-DVD in 2007 as well. The Ultimate Editions will probably be the only versions of Star Wars out in that format.

I didn't find the A New Hope Jabba that bad looking. But he definutly could have been better. He is one the lesser effects of the Special Editions. With how excellent the digital ships in the Special Edition look they really should have put that effort into Jabba. In The Phantom Menace Jabba looked much better. He was such a vast improvement. The digital bits says they can confirm that the old lesser Jabba will be replaced with a much better one for the 2004 DVDs. I don't know if Han will still step on his tail I guess we will find out in September.

Id like to see the pic of the new digital Jabba. A better Jabba won't be as hard as many think. The digital Jabba in The Phantom Menace was much better then the digital Jabba in the A New Hope 1997 Special Edition. All Industrial Light and Magic has to do is take the 1997 Jabba wireframe and add the better Phantom Menace Jabba over it. The better lightsabers is something that should have been done in 1997. In fact that would have been the first change I would have made if I was improving the original movies. I doubt it will be that hard to do. All of these changes can be made without conflicting with Episode 3s production. Work on the Star Wars trilogy has never stoped. Also these 2004 DVDs are not the final versions of the movie.

Heard something good about the movie. Apparently a man from west Michigan is in Fahrenheit 9/11 and is pissed off. His exact words were "If he was near me Id ring his neck". Can't say I wouldn't do the same to that jerk. Apparently the man was selling disaster equitment and Moore potrade him as taking advantage of terrorist attacks. He is considering taking legal action against Moore. I hope he does and gets what he deserves from that fat ass. As Gollum once said "Your a liar and a theif". Moores movies are a series of truth stretches, misinterpertations, Liberal propaganda, and often downright lies.

This video is just more proff that the changes are happening. You forget Lucasfilm was also very quiet over the changes made to Indiana Jones. The bits reported these changes and they all happened. The bits knows what they are talking about. I am very happy about this change. While I prefer this scene in its original form I think it looks alot better then the 1997 Special Edition. With this fix I no longer hate the Han and Greedo change. My main problem with this scene was that it looked so technologically bad. While the change is still overly politically correct and unnessessary it no longer looks technologically bad. This and the better Jabba animation planned will both fill in the two biggest complaints about the 1997 Special Edition. Which were pretty much my only complaints.

The Hayden thing sucks but it is real. The bits has confirmed it. The bits know what they are talking about. I have never heard the bits ever confirm something and then it turn out to false. They pride themselves on being legidement and wouldn't go stating it like a fact if they weren't sure. Also Luke Im not an idiot and I wouldn't never state this to a women I liked. Most individuels on this site seem to be guys to I can write it hear. Like Al Bundy said "Its only cheating if you get caught"

Totally agree. Just because a group is oppressed in the past doesn't make it right to turn the tables today. Which is what I believe is happening and it needs to be stoped. I totally believe that society todays gives women and minority groups more rights. For example Affermative Action. Thats got to be the worst idea I have heard in while. The fact that Bush feels the same way about affermative action is one of the main reasons I support them. That doesn't mean I hate black people. I just don't want them to have more opportunity then a white guy like me. I am for equality. Everyone should have equal opportunity to succeed. Thats just my view. Im not someone who think womens bodies are everything. Though it is the most important factor.

I believe in equality. Yes women should have equal rights to men. But I think we are the opposite of the 19th century right now. It was wrong to not let women vote but its just as wrong for the legal systemto give mothers more rights in a divorce. I personally know a friend of my fathers who lost his kids in a corrupt legal system. He seemed like a good father and his kids agreed but the court now rarely lets him visit his kids. That happenes more then you think. Legal system always believes its the males fault. It needs to end.

I am just saying I believe women are treated better in society then men. I have no doubt of this. I also have two sisters. I hate them. There worthless individuels. I believe women have more rights then men and have given several examples of why. True women deserve respect but so do we. Also the bits does not post fanboy rumors. There rumor mill is industry speculation. If they say its confirmed is confirmed. I trust the bits.
