Fine. Come back in a decade when your paper route earns you enough money to buy a widescreen TV, and you finally notice the problem.

What you are asking for is for the movie to not only be in the original perspective but you want to be able to toggle that perspective to be something else. If you want a pure experience then stop asking for them to make it toggleble. The movie reels were never Anamorphic and there is no way to have made them that way. So stop asking for him to make DVD's that way. Yes, you can make the dvd support all of a DVD players options but that doesn't make it any truer to the original movie. That is the main reason to buy the release.
P.S. I read the anamophic faq things posted in the forum days earlier so get off the subject.

If that is the truth then I withdraw my arguments about the movie not being anamorphic. But I really don't care if the movie is released in letterbox. Letterbox has always worked for me.

Well, Greedo don't shoot first so much in ANH as he used to. I guess it bothers me but not that much. I guess I hate them aliens in ROTJ. Yeah it's not a problem exclusive to the SE but I think they put in too many of them. They were really cheesey and the folds on that elephants arms were unatural looking. I would of loved it they CG'd the monsters for the new version. I really think that all new remasters should have the original version attatched. That way the new versions can be more appreciated or avoided altogether. That's why they wound up having to attatch the original ET with the enhanced version. Cause people didn't want the new version. Or they want to have the original version to accompany it.

I mean, come on now. If you're trying to say anamorphic is altering the original version somehow, you are a complete and total idiot.

The aspect ratio had no name but that is the dimentions used.
And for the others stop with the name calling. That itself is 5 year old behavior.

Don't forget that any Star Wars movie made after the original was made for the sake of making money. Hell Lucas didn't even play the same role in the 5th episode as he did previous. He had someone else write alot of it didn't he? Just like the HD show.

I only watched the show for the first time a few days ago so That guy is different from me.
The military at times of war have sent musicians to perform for them so perhaps that is sorta what this is. I mean it don't seem like they get time to watch tv cause that one soldier got a kick out of that Jefferson Starship hologram video thing. So this was a sorta info/entertainment video hybrid.

Then I forced myself with great difficulty to sit through it. I would prefer to consider the novels as canon over this thing. It makes our heros out to be dumb silly gits who can't sing. What was that stupid life day song to the SW tune, horrible. I think it is okay for a curiosity, and I wont jugde certian ones who seem to get excited by the mere mention of it, but I certainly don't feel those who have not seen it have missed out on anything.

I don't think any of the heroes came off all that dumb. Sure Han hugged Chewie, but it was a friendly hug of two mutual friends who been thru hell together several times over. And Leia wasn't singing for no reason, she was singing a song that was probably traditional to the Life Day holiday. Just like how we have Jingle bells. And she was really the only one at that ceremony that could sing it. None of the guys wanted to probably, and Wookies probably can't sing very good. From what I could see noone was really out of character, the cheesiest parts came from other aspects.

Anyway, I'm with the guy that says he'd like the OT but to have the stuff of good quality. I don't want the SE cause that's not the original. I spose if they can edit out the new stuff it won't bother me so much. But only if they really did remove everything that wasn't originally there.

Decided “Life on Tatooine” should be required viewing for the clone troopers? I’m inclined to think that it was Anakin who choose it cause he grew up around that area. But the singing sequence makes me believe that Palpatine may have had a hand in it cause you know how he likes to go to shows. Like when he’s looking at that electic globe thing in Episode 3. He probably wanted to have something artsy in the material.
