The SE of OT made me kinda dislike Blue colors... That's why I think that scene should stay the way it is.
Although, that blue (original) background looks more like the one we saw in TPM and AOTC.

How about a Rocky type of montage after Qui-Gon gets stabbed? A la Rocky IV - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwPb7g_BlXQ - you know, with flash-backs and Darth Maul images? Have it right before Obi Wan confronts Darth Maul.
I mean, you can't go wrong with an 80's cheese in a Star Wars Prequel movie... right?
And how about finishing the movie with "We Fight For Love"? Have Obi-Wan's look at Qui-Gon's body - 
- and then let the closing credits roll with Power Station's masterpiece in the background - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiDuOLTy_5w . I mean, the song kinda fits...
Another idea I had was using Zack Wylde's "Farewell Ballad" in the scene where Qui-Gon dies in Obi's hands - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYMupc564zE . I mean, that's the kind of song you would expect to hear in an old school Buddy Cop movie after partner's death. Again - it would give the scene a little bit of that 80's cheese.
But I do, however, understand that it's arguably the manliest guitar solo of all time - so it might not fit in well...
And now the last of my ideas -
You know how there are these screens that they use to communicate with each other? How about turning one of them into a TV and have Captain Freedom's Workout Commercial playing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LazUZz3K6IY . I have to admit that I can't think of a scene where you could put this in, but maybe this gives you other ideas...

Agreed. It's funny, but feels a bit awkward when the same footage gets used twice. Maybe (and I'm sorry for my spelling here) fast forward the 2nd part of the 1st fall - you know, the part where you use the same footage again.
Like, have him gain more speed as he falls. That would also explain why it's so hard for him to stop. Cause of the speed, you see.
And to make it seem better you could also add a harder landing/crash sound-effect for the second time he lands on the platform.

Well, it looks different. I don't know how much better, but it looks different.
Maybe you could have these light bulbs (or whatever they are) shine, so that there's at least couple of objects that don't get affected by the pink saturation?
Or... I don't know, maybe you should consider changing the color a bit. Make it seem less burgundy and more redish? That way it wouldn't remind of TPM.
But, overall, I like it. And the whole idea of making GG seem more darker by putting him in darker places is just awesome!

Thanks to Angel for the concept first and foremost.
The masking done so far is very bad. Added some smoke to help cover it up. That will be perfected later.
This is a further attempt to help GG come along more as a Darker bad guy thru his surroundings. Dark and gloomy over bright and Neon.
Any ideas are welcome.
Dude, I gotta be honest, I really can't remember how it looked originally.
Is it OK to ask for a side by side comparison picture/video? That would really help noticing the difference.
