Request: a 'Serenity' movie fan edit? - ADM??

I did a quick one. Not as seamless as something ADM would do, but it incorporates all of the deleted/extended scenes, including the few that are on the 2-Disc set that the US didn't get.

I'm actually curious to see this as I was debating to put one together after my gf & I finish watching the TV series.

btw, did anyone ever find a good replacement cover for the Serenity movie? I've been debating to cut my own but I'm pretty sure I've seen a couple posted here in the past.

"Battlestar Galatica" Syndicated Telemovie Versions
Time
I would love to see all of it. I've run across those tapes from time to time always wondering what they were and if they would be in the DVD sets (I guess not ).

Q: I recall seeing one that was about the Galactica and Pegasus meeting finally and plotting an attack on the Cylons (similar storyline to the new SciFi channel series episodes). Do you know if that was that also one of these or just some random episode collection tape?

Evangelion anime Project (Released)

According to ADV, they actually intend to do a trilogy of movies, and are currently shopping for a director. Apparently, this was supposed to have gotten off the ground a few years ago, but King Kong used up all of Weta and NGE got put on hold. Matt Greenfield (an ADV bigwig), is also known to be very full of shit, he talks about the series with a familiarity like he created Evangelion. I doubt a live-action NGE will ever come to be, but if it does happen, it will definitely suck. There is no way they can condense 13 hours of a TV series and a 2 hour movie into approximately 6 hours and have it be good.

Greenfield is VP of ADV and most definately full of shit. They ran out of project money and are currently trying to convince some financial backers to join the project. That's why WETA stopped pre-production and went on to films which actually have a chance in hell of being made. ADV is also re-re-re-releasing their dead horse title for another beating as a "premium" package that's even better than the extras with "Platinum". This time you get a jacket with those extras they didn't give you the last time for only $250. Being f'ing deal. It wasn't worth it the last few times, it won't be this time either. Grab the R3 which is actually progressive and has all the R2 set stuff for much less.

It was released as a Disney Movie Club Exclusive, can't get it anywhere else. I might have an extra or two for sale (sealed) if anyone's interested.

Figures. I ended up importing the R2 UK finally last year because my player can change regions and swap PAL encodes back to NTSC. Leave it to Disney to make it a club exclusive. Sneaky bastards.

Info Wanted: Starship Troopers Anime

A friend of mine came across a 1980s(?) anime based on Robert E Heinlein's famous Starship Troopers. The name of it is supposedly "Uchu no Senshi", though I think that may be more phonetic than proper japanese.

Does anyone know anything about this? Has it ever been translated or subtitled? If not, we're curious of finding other better copies, as well as the history behind it.

It aired on FOX (or was it WB?) in 1999-2000 as Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles (and in english!) I TiVo'd all off them when they aired and transfered them to SVCD (I had a Amoisonic SVCD/VCD recorder) but I gave away all my VCD/SVCD a few years back, I THINK my brother has the official U.S. DVD set. You can get them on Amazon.com

I believe you're thinking of the US CG series.
