I'd never seen the thing before.  Man - I was floored at the cheese level.  It was cheese at a Top Gun, Point Break level. How do actors bring themselves to even speak those lines?  Every moment was full-on, overly dramatic, shake your head in disbelief at the corny dialogue cheese.

"Let's kick the tires and light the fires"

It was like a train wreck.  I couldn't look away.  Unbelievably bad.

I'd watch it again just for the cheese factor.

I love that film.

Maybe it's because me and my friends sing the Team America theme song all through the action scenes.

Lucas and his army of loyal jihadists are the only people who don't realize this.

Lucas and his followers are starting a religious war?

Well some people do consider "Jedi" to be their religion...

I facepalm'd when I saw that on the national census here in the UK. Gorram it, it was so frakkin dumb.

Thanks to the EU we have a pseudo-scientific explanation for that (blaster fire and even 'laser swords') aren't lasers but plasma projectiles/blades controlled by forcefields (Thank-you EU, Thank you very much).

Wow, way to take the fun and interest out of everything EU. Sheesh.

And furthermore, woudln't you be able to have anti-lightsabre shielding pretty easily, then? Let's just give up on the physics of Star Wars right now, okay?

Well, actually there's something called kortoesis (or however it's spelt) that can reflect lightsaber blows. It was featured in one of the Jedi knight games...

In the beginning was the chosen one, and the chosen one was with the force, and the chosen one was the force. He was with Midichlorians in the beginning.

In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

There came a man who was sent from the force; his name was Qui-gon. He came as a witness to testify concerning the chosen one, so that through him all species might believe. He himself was not the chosen one; he came only as a witness to the chosen one. The true light that gives light to every species was coming into the galaxy....

This is true. Although the CGI in the movie 'Serenity' is pretty damn good, considering the budget that movie had.

But I can't stand the audience at the beginning. WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY LAUGHING AT?? HE HASN'T DONE ANYTHING.

In their defense, the moment the show starts on tv/youtube is not the first moment the audience sees/interacts with Craig. I think there's usually comedian before him, to warm the audience up, so they're already in a silly mood, and then Craig comes out. He's already been talking to them, being funny, for a little bit before they turn on the cameras. Does that help make it make sense?

Yeah I guess that makes sense, just seems a bit weird when he says random things that aren't funny that send the audience into hysterics.

I always thought that some people being able to use the force and some not and that it is something that runs in the family was quite clearly implied in the OT ("The boy is our last hope." "No, there is another." - "Force is strong in my family").

BTW. greenpebguino, the text in your signature is not cool. Frink only cited it from another site because it was so stupid that it was funny and you make it look like it's something he said himself.

Actually I was the one who found it, I had originally titled it 'Dumbass on theforce.net said:...'

But I changed it to Frink to avoid any problems we may have with tfn. Frink doesn't mind though, I think
