Star Wars: Episode VII to be directed by J.J. Abrams **NON SPOILER THREAD**

Quick google search (thanks pat man!) shows they killed him in Fate of the Jedi. Is that the EU to which you're referring?

The following has been done, too, but in the film maybe they can have Dark Luke. I love how Mark describes his ideas for ROTJ here:

Interestingly enough JJ is at the table as well. It's a nice video.

I'm sowwy. :(

But this makes me realize something. While I imagine Vader's legacy will be referenced in the new films, and could possibly be a direct influence on the villain(s), I'd really like to see them move away from Vader. I just hope it isn't something like, "New villain wants to be the new Vader."

It just makes me think how the prequel trilogy shouldn't have even introduced young Vader until the second film, as a rising young Jedi. Bah.

I never saw ToD as a prequel, since like CP3S said it didn't seek to "answer questions" or connect the dots to a previously made film.

It was like a separate, standalone earlier chapter in Indy's life.

If anything the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, probably the only good thing Lucas did after 1983, would fit the bill of a prequel. Damn I loved that show.

I never saw Scream as a horror comedy.

Most horror films have comedic aspects to balance out and relieve the tension and scares.

Scream, to me, was a horror movie. It also had a few funny one-liners and relief from characters like Deputy Dewey, but I always felt the prologue sets a precedent for how brutal and scary the film was going to be.

The movies haven't gotten into what happens to the dead too much. Are there massive cemeteries from the Clone Wars on the planets where clones fell? Are there ornate ancient Jedi tombs on forgotten worlds?

I'd love to see something like that!

I could see Luke visiting Jedi burial grounds to seek some counsel with them. Then you could work in the ghosts of Obi-Wan, Yoda, Qui-Gon, etc.

I hope to see grungy, dirty locations. Everything in the prequels is too pretty and perfect.

Let's see more of that underworld. I've been checking some of the "safe for work porn" subreddits. Some great shots of villages, cities, countrysides, etc. in those pages.

One setting we haven't had in a SW movie yet - A CEMETERY. Shmi's grave doesn't count. Sorry I don't have specific names or locations - just a general environment idea.

Another idea - a gold mine!
