Remember that essential principle as to why this website exists: Lucas wants to remove any memory of the OOT at any cost, even though his "vision" is greatly inferior to the OOT.

Yet laserdisc does not look that good on a modern TV set, that's the gripe. At least for VHS it was in the standard quality of that time, not of several years ago.

well then, I need to sell off my current SW DVDs, I mean, I could save 20 bucks for the bad transfer, but people pay hundreds of dollars for bootlegs of Inchon, dont they?

Hey, I was wondering guys, that although the official release of the OOT is non-anamorphic, I am quite emo when it comes to preserving the OOT and, as many of you know from my posts, doubt the OOT ever being released ever again. So should I avoid this DVD and give up on SW forever, or should I do otherwise?

The OT as the core? That I can accept, but Lucasfilm sees the PT as the core- I mean, it seems to me that the each installment of the PT is treated as its own entity while the OT is bunched up into a single installment. And also, therewas a lot of influence from the Dune books in SW. Maybe the PT was an attempt to kinda do that, explaining the politics of the universe and having a six part saga (Frank Herbert wrote six Dune books)

I noticed for a long time from IMDB that the originally SW was originally called The adventures of Luke Starkiller- Episode I: the Star Wars. What do people think of this? I believe it means the PT was irrelevant from day one. Any comments?

Star wars is, after careful thought, my favorite trilogy of all time. My only problem is getting a good DVD of it, so I almost never get to watch it save for VHS. the LOTR trilogy is a very close second with me and in videogames it has to be the megaman X "trilogy" for the SNES. Since I first saw the OOT on VHS, probably my best experience in the cinema was with the release of LOTR in '01-'03.

Anyways, back to a question I posted earlier: Was it implied in ROTJ that the emperor was a sith lord? Maybe, because he emits lightning from his hand, or is it because of wathing the PT that I have this idea?

Well, if Lucas just removed the spoilers from the PT, this whole nonlinear approach to watching the saga could be avoided. Yet how we saw the PT turned out, watching a six film saga is not advisable. Although it has been said to death, principles need to be reinforced.

I had the opposite problem, each installment was more dissapointing than than the last; yet I tried to convince myself that I liked them.
And about the Emperor, now AKA Darth Sidious, was it implied in ROTJ that he was a sith lord??

Yes, and Anakin should have become Vader earlier than Episode 3 and General Grevious SHOULD NOT EXIST! Plus, did anyone think it weird that the Emperor had a lightsaber and was a Sith Lord?? I sincerely wanted to see Yoda with a lightsaber, but that was ridiculous.

I can't stand any film with Natlaie Portman in it; and Pay It Forward, Tara Reid, and any film that has the title Baby and/or Geniuses in it.
For sports, I just dont like basketball, that LA doesnt have an NFL team.

It should just be the OOT, leave it at that, and move on.
