(a bit like the end sequence of the Enterprise finale where we saw Enterprises D, NCC1701 and NXwhatever only in reverse http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXotJu1CapU&feature=related).

It would also serve as a bookend for the celebration montage at the end of ROTJ, instead of seeing the defeat of the Empire playing out over space we'd see the growth of the Empire over time.

The Rebel’s secret base is now changed to be more complex.

we don’t see a shiny new Artoo, he’s still a bit beaten up because the Rebel’s are so short-supplied.

That's one of the things I thought was a radical improvement - tabs all the way!

alright i just watched that point, i think hes talking about the crater that cave/s are in prehaps asteroids craters are renowned for their caves?

no it should have ended with III when luke brought his vader back from the dark side- luke in the moonwalk/jump room in IV was the last straw for me

As they continue flying, only then does the cave appear. How could Han have known there was a cave there? For all he knew, it could have just been another valley!

A fix could be just replacing the footage outside the front of the cockpit to show what Han is talking about, maybe making the cave appear a lot sooner, or making the valley bigger so that they are already flying into it when Leia says the line. Otherwise, it is just illogical to see how Han spotted a cave that he couldn't possibly have seen yet, as he kept the Falcon flying low the entire time.

All i did was mess around by moving the contrast slider all the way and click auto contrast, levels, and color THEN click sharpen and render lighting effects an putting on those lights u see in the distance it was all photoshop (translation: its very easy anyone can do it)

We just need to find someone who's willing to do it (the hard part) and collect generous donations (the other hard part).  Dust/scratches are the only thing I'm worried about.  It would be best to have a second print, then combine them to get the best out of both.  This would of course more than double the costs...but would also be better in the longrun.

I think once we do EpIV, people will be more willing to make donations for V & VI.
