STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

......not really........ Jaws is mainly low lying "horror" and the music doesnt really "come up out of the water", where the star wars scores are more sparse but have more action and a fantasy-ish, superman is the closest to ESB but it has alot more "romantic" and beautiful (like with the fortress of solitude stuff) and Raiders is alot more rough and tumble action music, TOD is more energetic i believe doug adams the author of the "Music of the Lord of the Rings Films" book called it "Indiana Jones The Musical" or something like that...

I know you said you are not accepting any suggestions for the revamp edit, but I want to know your guy's opinions of these 3 ANH duel re-edits.

This one I like the best. I like how it mixes the "Battle of Heros" at the beginning with the classic ANH theme at the end, this one feels the most fitting in ANH IMO.

I really like this one. I feel like the music fits it very well, which actually surprises me because I was always one of those people who thought that this particular scene sounded best left alone. Whoever cut this together did a nice job.

Meh, sans music is still the way I likes it......

i prefer this music:

That doesn't make sense..... That's like saying, well, we had Jedi in one of the movies, they shouldn't be in another.... That's the same stupid mentality that got us Ewoks instead of wookies in ROTJ.

And haven't you heard the saying that a girl will marry a man like her father... Lots of truth in that... So think about it..... Maybe that's secretly why she was attracted to Han, because he seemed similar to the man who helped shape who she is.

And its a mentality similar to yours that got us the Jedi order as we know it in the prequels, a bunch of superhero types

I'm curious how that works. Now, if I said every character in the prequels should be just like Han Solo, then your comment would be valid. I didn't say that.

Now, I will agree with you to an extent that there were an over abundance of Jedi in one action sequence in the prequels, but to say that they should have been few and far between goes against what was implied in OT. "They were the guardians of peace and justice..." That to me says there were many. Jedi are glorified cops, and you'll need plenty to provide justice across the entire galaxy. Not just 6. How would that work in my town if there were only 6 Jedi?

Now if you're just simply saying that my mentality is the same that made Jedi superhero types.... Um.... Isn't that what they were supposed to be??? Why have powers if they aren't going to be viewed in that light?

Anyway, please read my posts before you misrepresent me. Thanks.

well from what I've read, Jar-Jar, Bail, Anakin, Hayden and I think Owen have been considered as Rogue types- and those are just the ones i can remember, if all these were added together into one edit, it would lessen Han Solo's significance, but you guy's were not saying that, you were just going to pick one and thats that.

however, I stand corrected in the area that that would totally ruin Han's character.

and i see all you guy's points (er however you word that)

Again Fish, you miss the point. Jar Jar and and PT Anakin ruined the films they were IN. And that's because they sucked.

Whereas you said that improving a character that is currently as dull as they get, would somehow ruin the OT - a series of films made decades before.

PT Anakin was in ROTJSE, but other than that, I stand corrected

A posh, moneyed aristocratic rough and tumbler would be a very different character from a pirate captain living on his wits rough and tumbler.

Han Solo isn't diminished by Lando or Boba Fett, both of which share traits with him.

The film where all three are in is largely believed to the best representation of all three characters.

ROTJ?

Off camera, she has given the baby girl to Bail Organa (who also needs to be a more rough and tumble Han Solo type rather than the dull Senator he's written as in the prequels)

no, he should not be like han solo at all, that would ruin the OT

I love how some people believe that one little character could possibly "ruin a whole film series". Are these films really that fragile?

Apparently Jar-Jar and PT-Anakin did, with a little help from Lucas that is

No...Han Solo isn't "like a Jedi". He's the ANTI Jedi! Jedi are disciplined, diplomatic, peacekeeping knights. Han Solo is a badass rogue who doesn't do things by the book. He shoots first and asks questions later (until the SE).

I think you've missed the whole point of Han's character. "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid"

thats not what i meant by "He's like a Jedi"

let me rephrase it: He's like a Green Lightsaber [Should be]: Rare

Well, IMHO Han Solo is like a Jedi, he should be a rare occurrence, having a bunch of rough and tumble types just cheapens HS's character....

seriously though, what I meant is that (I think) it would make no sense for Leia to be initially turned off to Solo's "Rough and Tumbleness" when her father is/was the same way

and i didnt mean that Bail couldnt be changed or altered, just that i dont think making him like Han Solo is the right change to make IMO.
