Yep, while I did ROTJ I also did this one.
My goals are little different here, where with ROTJ and ESB I was trying to brighten it by quite a bit, here I added only a miniscule amount of brightness.
The main attraction will be the editing together of the film recordings so as to reconstruct the concert versions of several cues, as well as several alternate takes.

Yep, now I am going to do this one.
My goals are little different here, where with ROTJ I was trying to brighten it at all cost, here I am only adding a little bit of brightness.
The main attraction will be the editing, and the widening of the Risner material.

If you need a spleen invite i'll give you one.
Sure, thanks!
Could you upload them to somewhere? perhaps I could use them.

have you considered using ABC's sound salvage as a source?
I have, and I figured they were the same as I was doing, taking the tracks from the anthology and mixing them with the SE's?
Alright guys, everybody that already has this set, and people who could not access the links pay attention!
I had to redo this set a bit, some of the SE cues were done a bit differently when I first started this set, than when I got close to the end, I have redone those now.
I have also EQ'ed a few cues that I forgot to EQ (Jedi Rocks and Jabba's Sail Barge Part 1)
Also, In the previous version, there was an overlay in the SE that was not present in the Anthology track, which I used, so that has been restored.
the new links will probably go up on the Firey Media desk.

I don't really understand what your definition of "legit" is, but okay?
It means I'd rather not see these files seeded all over the net, and only at the locations I have already mentioned. Seems pretty clear to me...
Legit is short for legitimate, which would mean real, the opposite of fake. (atleast thats how I understand it)
so if they were posted somewhere else, it would still be the real deal, but not an approved or endorsed link/post.
Darth Maul's Double Bladed Lightsaber?
Jedi Starfighter (seriously, I wanted one of those)

I have it on DVD, which would probably be better. ;-)SilverWook said:
BTW, I have the longer version of Smooth Criminal on Laserdisc if you need it for anything.
Is it the "longer version"?
Apparently, its being said that Raiders is closer to the original colours now...
"According to Torsten Kaiser (TLEFilms Film Restoration, known from their restaurations of "M" and "Assault on Precinct 13") the new color scheme is much closer to the original negative than the copies (VHS, DVD, HDTV) before."
riiiiiiight...
Thats for the future, if I find the film version of Lapti Nek with vocals.
Check your PM's Nearsighted/Bilditup1.

Can you PM them to me? Every single one I have does not exist.
Sorry about that, I was afraid this would happen, I'll PM the second disc, and hopefully Bilditup1 will be able to get the whole thing onto the spleen.

The pilots look worried, Han frequently shows signs of disbelief at what he is hearing.
Of course, thats before Han joins the rebellion, and Luke becomes a full-fledged Jedi....
And that they think the Death Star is not yet operational...

I'm not sure what point you are making with that post fishfella.
I am saying, that cutting the chitchat, before the briefing does not make the briefing brief, cutting things during the briefing however can
The chitchat is not part of the briefing, so cutting it does not change the Briefing's length.
Alright, my set is finished, let the PM's begin!
Bingowings said:
The briefing really should be more... brief.
Cut the medical droids, cut the gossip about recent promotions (and yeah Wedge would make more sense as the leader of the attack).
Look how naturalistic the briefing in ANH looks and compare it to the 'at all point's fake' briefing in ROTJ.
Technically, the gossip is before the briefing so it doesnt change the length of the briefing.
Also the reason the briefing in ANH looks naturalistic is because:
1. ANH was made in '77
and
2. It was on Yavin IV, not a Mon Calamari ship.
Replace all of John Williams score with disco versions of his music.

Steve is the guy who restored Raiders score for DCC classics in the 90's for an audiophile LP and a standard cd and gold issue CD.
He is not Ben Burtt, but i think he did ask why have they not restored the original trilogy scores or something to that effect for star wars when he got the indy project.
No answer was given obviously.
Audiophile releases of the star wars trilogy newly restored from the earliest elements and album masters/stems on LP and CD would have been great.
I am not exactly a fan of Hoffman's mastering of Raiders, the choir is reduced to almost nothing, and the Tuba's are wayy too prominent.

Why are you using the short version of the Fox Fanfare, or rather an edit of the Cinemascope version? And the SE music from Jabba's Palace? I'm guessing this isn't a restoration of the original then. I'm still interested in hearing your final result for The Emperor Arrives.
I apologize for missing this post.
I have the OOT cues in the main presentation, and the SE celebration music in the extras.
Changed the tracklist.

... I'm not a big fan of moving Yoda too much in the PT, besides rearranging his lines as per the "Yoda Speech Pattern" thread.
but.. were that to take place, Anakin doesn't ever have to actually meet with Yoda. Obi-Wan says he thought his could train Anakin as well as Yoda trained him. Implying Yoda played no hand in Anakin's training. Perhaps replacing Yoda's shots in the Council with a hologram could work. You could change the background of the scene at the end of TPM (Agree with you the council does, your apprentice skywalker will be) to appear as if it happens on Dagobah.
But if you're trying to preserve the reveals in the OT you can't show Yoda as the revelation that this eccentric little green dude is actually a Jedi master is a big thing in ESB.
You could try the route that JasonN did with Palps, and have Yoda be dark and shrouded mysteriously.
Not if palpatine never finds out, just because the Jedi work with Palpatine (and who knows, perhaps in some edit, the Temple will be moved off coruscant) does not mean that they are required to reveal all of their secrets to him, though admittedly Vader would probably know.
