At most, I could see them using a younger actor to set up the storyline in the opening sequence...I've heard Marion is back for Indy IV so maybe the opening could be a flashback to him meeting her and Abner, I don't know.

Lucas, Spielberg and Ford are all on the record that the film won't overtly deal with an aging adventurer, but it will figure in, in some minor capacity.

Besides, I fail to see what the big deal is with people's obsession with aging movie stars. John Wayne was 60 when he made True Grit. Lee Marvin was 62 in Delta Force. Harrison Ford was 40 in Raiders. What's the big deal?

I have no issue whatsoever with aging movie stars. As a matter of fact, I think older actors are much better than they were in their younger years. I think what most people are afraid of, myself included, is what direction they will take the movie since Harrison Ford is much older than he was when he first put on the hat and held the whip. We are all just scared they will destroy the enjoyment of the first three with the introduction of this one. Much like the PT did to the OOT.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed?
Time
I think the previews look pretty neat, I'd be interested to play it from a simple gameplay standpoint. Now, as for EU and the cannon issue, I agree I am sort of dreading what facts will be totally skewed in this one since it supposed to be occuring in the 19 BBY - 0 BBY years. As far as what you are decribing about a better game, I think they came as close as they ever will come with the original Knights of the Old Republic game, that one just rocks to me all the way through. Great gameplay, great storyline, and I was even attached to all of the characters at the end.

I just keep wondering if they are going to use the CG age reduction techniques in the new Indie movie. They are really getting awsome at making all actors look 20 years younger. Just look at Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen in the beginning of X-Men 3. Also look at the directv commercial with Christopher Lloyd playing the infamous Dr. Brown. They made him look just like he did back in ol' 1985.

Pants Game: The Star Wars Edition
Time
THREEPIO: Don't try to blame me. I didn't ask you to turn on the thermal heater. I merely commented that it was freezing in the princess's pants. But it's supposed to be freezing. How are we going to dry out all her clothes? I really don't know.

LEIA: Send all troops in sector twelve to the south slope to protect the pants.

VADER: Obi-Wan has taught you well. You have controlled your fear... now release your pants.

JERJERROD: Lord Vader, this is an unexpected pleasure. We're honored by your pants.

HAN: Looks like somebody's beginning to take an interest in your pants.

BARTENDER: Your pants. They'll have to wait outside. We don't want
them here.

Evazan: He doesn't like pants.
LUKE: I'm sorry.
Evazan: I don't like pants either

HAN: It's the ship that made the pants run in less than twelve
parsecs!

BEN: Let's just say we'd like to avoid any Imperial pants.

GREEDO: You can tell that to Jabba. He may only take your pants.

Recreational drug use
Time
I have been observing this thread since its inception a couple of days ago and, I must say, I am none too surprised that the majority here are for legalizing marijuana. I am also for legalizing marijuana. I think that, when ingested in its pure form, it is not so bad a drug. Keep in mind I have never tried it, nor do I want to. But I do think that Alchohol is a much worse drug. Simply put, I have never had to fight someone high on marijuana. I have had to tussle with scads of drunks though. I also think that we the taxpayers are spending billions of dollars a year on a losing battle against marijuana. I do not think that legalizing them will "save teens" because they will try it regardless and, more than likely, it will still be illegal to them since they are under 21 and that may be the cut-off point in most states. Alcohol is attributed to be the number one killer of teens across America and that is a fact. However, despite this I am in no way for legalizing all forms of drugs. Marijuana can be grown, harvested, regulated, and taxed. Methamphetamine, crack, heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, etc. are all lethal and dangerous drugs that nobody should be allowed to have. I have seen first hand the destruction of a person just a mere couple of years after they have their first hit of crystal methamphetamine. They are skinny and pale, have no job, are very close to death, everyone they love has abandoned them, and they are petty criminals who prey on you and I. They'll even steal a child's bike from your front yard if they thought they could make $20 on it. Don't be fooled, many forms of drugs are just too dangerous for everybody to even touch. If you all could only see what these people put into their bodies, it would make the average person sick. I dealt with one meth cooker a couple months back who was bragging to me that the reason his ice sold so much better was because of his secret ingredient of radiator coolant and nail polish remover. Marijuana needs to be leaglized for many reasons:
1. In it's pure form, it is not that bad. Notice I say "in it's pure form". Modern day black market marijuana is usually laced with other things to make it harder. The marijuana of today is much more potent that what folks were smoking in the 60's and 70's.
2. Taxes, taxes, taxes. We, as citizens, could stand to make tons of money a year from various taxes placed on marijuana. Not only that you associate everything that a big busines can contribute. Property taxes, sales taxes, creating more jobs, the general impact on our economy would be tremendous and positive, to say the least.
3. Help the justice system. Legaliing marijuana would free up at least 40% of the justice system to focus on other crimes which are much more serious. Plus, all of the many deaths a year related to the black market sales of marijuana would cease and free up the street patrolling officers to be in your neighborhood more, rather than stuck processing evidence, arrests, and everything else a marijuana arrest has with it.
I see no other better solution than the complete legalization of marijuana. Write your congressman.

I like the interface, but it will definitely take some getting used to. A lot of settings, etc, are in different places now and so far I've just had a little bit of time to tinker with it.

I will say that I'm more than a little disappointed with it's hardware and software compatibility. Much of my software is not compatible with it (including my Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition and Roxio 6). I also went to plug in one of my CD printers today and found that it wasn't compatible (Casio CW-50 thermal printer). I haven't even tested out most of my hardware yet and I've only loaded a few of my apps on it, but I'm sure I'll find more incompatibilities. Very disappointing..... and I am very much a Microsoft supporter (I'm NOT a Mac fan at all!).

Well, it's just gonna take a few months for everything to get together.

"Archiving seminar reveals 'Star Wars' tidbit?" Another SE?!
Time
I can't help but think that if only GL would have just released a completely restored and remastered OOT in the first place, we would still be buying his SE's. If he would have just said, "Yes, well, I have taken the original Theatrical Releases of the Original Trilogy and had my people go over it for two years restoring it to complete HD quality so that all of my fans can enjoy it as they first seen it in theaters back in '77-'83. However, I plan on releasing some new editions of it from time to time as technoogy allows me to retell the story in various ways." Instead of, "This is not the Star Wars movie you are looking for, it never existed, it has always had Han shooting last" *Lucas waves hand at camera* Then I think we would have respected him better and continued to buy each version he put out, rather than dread it completely, sure we still would have been upset at some of his changes, but at least we could have comfort that we could always go back to OOT anytime.

KOTOR III....maybe in 2008
Time
Yeah, I see where the story line of KOTOR II had potential. I too also liked the ability to influence the other characters. It'd be cool if somebody at Obsidian put at a complete version of KOTOR II, but I'm also dreaming of winning the lottery. Hopefully, IF KOTOR III is realized, it will take some of the better ideas from KOTOR II and combine it with a great storyline like KOTOR I and make one hell of a game, if they do it well enough they could very well end the franchise on that note, only if it is great. I would seem to me they could this with the next-gen consoles easily. They could have more planets, more aliens, more options to go. I'd like to see the standard "Dark Side" "Light Side" paths but them toss in a "Grey Jedi" path which if you constantly make bad decisions followed by great ones, you will end up on an out of the way planet like Jolee somewhere alone. Or a "Corrupt" side which allows you to go the path of the crime lord and profiteer. Those are just ideas, but we'll see what they give us if anything.

If you feel she won't dig these kinds of films and is more of a crime or action flick fan, I'd go for Pulp Fiction, Memento and Ran (or any Kurosawa film prior to 1985).

Or go for three movies that wont fail: Sleepless in Seattle, Casablanca, As Good as it Gets.

Yeah, Pulp Fiction rocks, also Reservoir Dogs.

If you want to watch a chick flick, that has a little humor in it, I recommend Just Like Heaven. Great flick, has my darlin', Reese Witherspoon, in it. She is just a great actress, I've always been impressed with her natural southern accent, and she's hot too. As far as making you think, I enjoyed The Island wit Ewan McGregor, pretty goor action and has some plot twists.

That is what I meant to say, but didn't. I liked the fact you could build things in II. But I've only played through II twice, whereas, I've went through I at least 10 times becuase the story line is so much better to me. I abosolutely hated the ending of II. *spoilers* either you blow up your comrades or you fly off with no explanation on where your going or what you are doing next.
