I'd like to take this moment...to cry
Time

Please tell me you tried booting WITHOUT the usb card reader. If there is a card in it, it may be trying to boot from the card. The exact same thing happens when I start up my desktop with anything plugged into the USB port, but I have it setup that way. Also make sure there was disc in the floppy drive or maybe even a bootable CD in the tray. However, since you already have the hdd out of the machine and in an enclosure, try plugging into a different computer, maybe even a Mac or Linux machine, shocking how many times that's helped me. Different OS's handle things differently. I'd try all of those options WAY before I'd even consider going to a data recovery. Those guys will do exactly as I've told you and if they are successful, they'll chuckle as they plan to charge you $500 or $600 dollars for a hour or so of actual work, if that is what you want to call it.

Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett R.I.P. 25/ 06/ 2009
Time

Billy Mays really got on my nerves with his screaming, obnoxious, commericals. But since he died, I've been reading up on him and he seemed like a really nice, grounded, guy with a good heart. I read somewhere that he was at a trade show picthing some stuff and was drowning out the guy in the booth next to him with his booming voice, the pitchman next to him couldn't muster a crowd at all with Billy booming next door. So Billy turned off his microphone system, gave the other guy his mic, and tried to speak quieter so as not to take so much away from his collegue. Now that was just nice. Rare these days. RIP.

I'm sorry guys, I cannot equate him with Elvis at all. I also disagree that any of his stuff was "timeless" it all sounds terribly 70's and 80's to me. But that is just my opinion. He was a good artist and a talent and certainly a standout of his era, but I just pull myself to go any further than that.

I'm sick of hearing about him already, my news has been absolutely hijacked by this whole deal.

I HAVE ACTUALLY STARTED MARKETING THE BRAND.  THE PLAN FOR ME RIGHT NOW IS TO GET BETTER SCREEN PRINTING EQUIPMENT IN ORDER TO MAKE NEWER T-SHIRTS.  I HAVE ALL SORTS OF PRODUCTS IN MIND.  I'M WORKING ON SOME OF THEM ALREADY.

Seriously, Wal-Mart is pretty good about endorsing local brands. If you can buddy up with a couple of local Wal-Mart managers, they may carry some of your stuff. I know they do that for local music artists, a buddy of mine has many CD's in all the Wal-Marts in this tri-county area.

Wait, time out.  C3PX is a she?  For some reason, I always get this mixed up - first I thought she was a she, and then I didn't... and now I guess I was right the first time.  Sorry ^_^;

I was very tired when I wrote that (i didn't even realize I did it until you just pointed it out!), C3PX is very much a HE!! I believe I mixed up calling Sean's date she and calling C3PX he, I am so sorry C3PX! I owe you a beer.

Though she wanted to pay and I of course wouldn't let her pay.

If you're cool being pals and hanging out with no kissy-face or more, more power to you. But if that's the case, you can't do stuff like this anymore.

So are you saying I should or shouldn't let her pay?

If you're just going to be friends, then let her pay. It would be akin to her taking advantage of you if you paid everytime ya'll go out. Imagine if you had a guy buddy who never paid for anything and left you with the bill, how would you feel? However, if it seems there is a potential for a future intimate relationship, you can pay occasionally, but she should pay sometimes also. Ideally, see if ya'll can fall into pattern where you pay every other time ya'll go out and she pays the other. That way it is fair.

Answer Sean's Questions

I almost feel like an Uncle watching his nephew grow up. Sean, I'm so proud of you!

Was this a date? Yes

How much time should pass between a first and second date (I don't want to appear anxious)? Couple days at the least, week at the most.

Should I of kissed her? Depends, most likely no. I know I was hitting my third or fourth date with my wife when I got the nerve. Funny thing was I was usually on third base by that point with most of my dates, I reckon she was different.

I can't say much past what C3PX and DF said, they are puuting you on a very good track. DF ideas of touching the right spots is right on, as a matter of fact, my wife and I were talking a few months back and she told me one of the moments she new we would most likely be together was one point when we were dating that I opened a door for her and put my hand on the small of her back, she told me she loved it then and loves it now.

C3PX touched this point as well, LISTEN! I cannot stress enough that you should listen to everything she says. Use the information you garner from her to make your next date together better for her.

Good luck!!

TV Shows renewed and cancelled.
Time

One you didn't mention, I hate that "The Unusuals" got canceled so quickly, it was turning out to be a great show with good characters. They barely made it out of the gate when they got the pink slip, shame.

I've lost interest in Conner Chronicals, so no big loss there for me.

I too did not like the second season of Heroes, but I started getting back into it as I did think that season 3 was fairly good. I'm willing to give it another go.

Never have watched "Lost".

Did not give one hoot in hell for Knight Rider, there will always only be one Knight Rider to me just as there will always only be one Daisy Duke.

was mace going to the darkside?
Time

As I said before, Samuel Jackson should not have been Mace, he should have been a wild Jedi Knight who often borders on the Dark Side, but never turns. Who challenges Anakin's rise in the order and dislikes Obi Wan's ways. Generally disagrees with the ideas of the council. Essentially, he is the first one that the Council would guess is likely to turn, but is actually more devoted than even they can imagine, just skirts the rules to achieve a light side victory at times. In the end, his character could have been found to be the ONLY one who seemed to know Anakin would turn and is finally the last chance for the Jedi Order, but loses to Darth Vader in a badass fight. Why I'd make him merely a Jedi Knight? Easy, because he would never be tied down to the Jedi Council. There could be a whole comic book line of his adventures and getting dicplinary actions from the Council for his "bad" decisions. That's just always the way I imagined it.

recast the prequels
Time

James Franco for sure as Anakin.

Ewan McGregor would stay as Obi Wan, he was just that good to me.

I just did not like Natalie Portman, but I can't think of who to replace her with so....

I just LOVED Samuel Jackson as a Jedi, however, I do not think he should have been Mace Windu. Mace Windu should have been a reserved, typical, Jedi Master. *MAY BE BREAKING RULES HERE* I think there should have a whole new Jedi role written for Samuel. I always imagined a hardcore, really close to the dark side, Jedi Knight who does not trust Anakin from the word go and tries in vain to warn everyone that it is a huge mistake to take him on. Everyone just brushes him off and writing away his warnings as just being rebellious and overwhelmed in jealously. However, in the end he is found to be right and is the last chance the Jedi Counsel has against Darth Vader, but he loses to the far more powerful Darth Vader. I thought that would have been a great arc that could been played well through all three prequels. *SORRY FOR BREAKING RULES* Anyhow, Mace Windu, should have been Lawrence Fishburne. More reserved, less intense than Samuel. But I reckon he was busy that year with the Matrix and all.

Jimmy Smits was perfect for Bail Organa.

I agree with C3PX, Michael Biehn would have been SUPERB as Jango, Boba, and the Clones. Also, more "Aryan", which is what I believe Palpatine was going for.

I would have Jar Jar replaced with nitrogen, oxygen, water vapor, argon, and carbon dioxide.

Liam Neeson was great.

Lets talk about abortion.

My sex life! Yeah, mines pretty good actually, wife actually dressed up in a lacy corset the other night and then we.......well, I'll just leave it there.

Anyhow, dude, I have no idea where you can get that I have bad sex life because I do not want people killing babies, or fetuses. I didn't like Hitler slaughtering Jews either, does that mean I have issues at my church?

"She should have chosen not to get pregnant." Yeah, because that statement isn't all kinds of ignorant.

The condom may have broken. The birth control may have not worked for whatever reason. Maybe she was raped in an alley somewhere.

I love children. What little real joy is left in the world undoubtedly comes from them. So I am pro-choice as long as it happens in very early stages of the fetus' development.

No, it is not ignorant. Unless someone can prove to me otherwise, most abortions are due to neglectful women who have unprotected sex. If the birth control or condom broke, tough, suck it up and accept the consequences of having sex. They are adults, read the box on any condom or birth control pill package, it does not guarantee anything. That aside, once a woman is pregnant, she needs to understand it is no longer just her life, it is two lives. She needs to suck it up and have the baby, even if she was raped, she could pass that child on to adoption and allow the result of a tragic moment for her be turned into a lifetime of love for another. No excuse EVER for abortion.

Lets talk about abortion.
Time

Allow me to quote, and slightly amend, a response I had earlier last year.

Abortion is a serious thing, many political, and social lines, have been drawn over this issue. Here is what the subject means to me, my wife was an adopted baby. If she had been aborted, I would have been robbed of my soul mate, the best person I've ever had in my life, or ever will have, and the mother of my child, whom I'm sure will achieve great things. I thank God everyday her birth mother carried through with the birth and gave me my wife and ultimately my child and eventually my grandchildren. How do we know that the last abortion performed wasn't going to be the next Ronald Reagan or George Washington, or maybe the next Shakespeare, Albert Einstien, or Hank Williams Sr. These doctors, and the women who participate, are creating huge holes in our society that we never know about. What I don't understand is that these crazy liberals are all for killing innocent babies just because they made the mistake of being involuntarily conceived in the wrong womb, but they absolutely abhor the death penalty when it is set in place for convicted killers and rapists, that is a sad state of mind if you ask me.

Simply put, I do not support abortion because a woman's right to choose ends when she gets pregnant. She should have chosen not to get pregnant. I do support the babies right to choose.

So anyone here ride scooters?

Well, C3PX, you very well could afford it, if you sold off your car and other unnecessary gadgets you own. Then you own a mode of transportion that is totally immune from being shut down by an EMP weapon or fuel shortages. I recommend a good old fashioned American Quarterhorse, your looking for trouble if try a thoroughbred, too many health problems. You'd just have to have plenty of hay, feed, and DO NOT put it in a pasture with anything it could trip over. Believe me, if there is one thing in a pasture that a horse could trip over, it will find it and trip!
