I just realized that this design is sort of an allusion to Marty's bag when he first puts the shoes on. See it on the hood.

Im too old for this shit.
Good one!!
It is not Warb, no way. I stand behind Warb on this one. So much so that I don't think an IP check is necessary.
I dunno who it is, but he is an asshole.

Danny Glover AND Mel Gibson went nuts? I guess we now know the cause...
Oh noes! Joe Pesci is next!

Lol! Good one!
Eh, he's a commie anyhow.
Sure.
Somebody's got to have pneumonia, with all that coughing we've had around here lately!

Happy now?
Well, they are unlocked now. So. Uh. Yeah!

Discussion of ESB or ROTJ no longer allowed!
No fair! this thread is "random". Random could be ESB or ROTJ at any moment!

I have a soft spot for Lethal Weapon era Danny Glover films.
Me too! I liked Danny Glover before he went nuts.

I feel like this is a mistake, but we don't really get into fights too often (aside from the most recent scandal and the politics thread) so it shouldn't be a big deal.
I disagree, we've pretty well proven that we can work with little moderation in off-topic.
As far as the politics thread, admittedly it is my favorite as I am a political junkie and passionate about my stances. Despite that I want everyone to know I can disagree with you adamantly and still be friends everywhere else. While most do this, I hate when people let politics pollute other threads ad divisiveness interfere with other discussions. For example, I think Frink and I differ on most political beliefs, but that shouldn't stop us joking with each other, gabbing about 80's movies, or just talking about Star Wars. I only wished everyone would approach it that way.

My only gripes with Predators is the fact that it follows Predator too much. Predator 2, while a horrible film, did something different.
Predators is the best sequel for Predator, but it's not as good of a sequel as it could've been.
You're right, it's pretty obvious they tried to see if that firecracker could pop twice. I did enjoy Predators though, admittedly though I'm one of the few who enjoyed Predator 2. I never really got into AvP flicks, probably because I have nothing for Aliens. Just never liked those movies.
Tyrphanax said:
Are you implying that the schlockfests that were Predator or Predator 2 might have been better?
I think he's saying that conventional beliefs hold that the original Predator is the best ever. Not saying that you can't have your opinion of course, but the original Predator is the highest rated of all the others on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes.
However, I will say that Predators was a good flick, I'd place it right behind the original but nowhere past it.

There were a lot of ch-ch-ch changes in moderation today!
Not really, just a reaffirmation of last years policies. I'm glad to see it back, I love the lack of moderation. Despite the blow-ups we've had most things do work themselves out in here without need for admin oversight.

It is a bizarre thing because it's a 70's show playing on then nostalgia for the 50's which people have since become nostalgic about (largely as a seventies cultural artifact).
I guess my extreme passion for the 50's is based upon my upbringing in the 80's when the 50's was really at it's nostalgic peak.
You're right though, it is a 70's cliche show. W
hile I have very little appreciation for anything of the 70's (with Star Wars a notable exception), I LOVE That 70's Show. It's weird.

When I watched the show at the time of broadcast (as a kid) I thought that was the point.
The Fonz was none of the things he's character was associated with but had those attributes pinned to him by a mixture of force of will, cult of personality and percussive maintenance skills.
That said he was a nice guy.
Yeah, I reckon so. Despite my extreme love of everything 50's-60's, I just never much liked that show for some reason.
doubleKO said:
Yeah I think that is the weirdest. He doesn't have to, because half the time he scoops up water and drinks it from his paw.
My ol' Sulley used to do that all the time. I sure miss that little guy.

Lets not kid ourselves, nobody here is that cool.
I guess I'm the only one who always thought Fonzie (ergo Henry Winkler) was a dork. Seriously, I think they miscast that whole role. Just never took Winkler to be tough, attractive, or cool.

Like my blu's too!
Face/Off
A perfect, over the top, sci-fi 90's action flick.
Here in Texas, all soft drinks are Coke. If you sit down at a table and the waitress asks what you want to to drink (tea, water, Coke), you say Coke, she'll then ask what kind. I noticed it years ago that people from other states would get flustered at that point. It was just common place to me to order a Coke and then specify a Mountain Dew.
All ramen noodles are simply ramen noodles.
All "weed whackers" are weed eaters.
