STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

I would love to see the plans morph (extract from .zip file haha) from the OG/RogueOne version to the enhanced ones from the original Revisited, just colored white instead of read.

I suggested that a while back.

I really liked all these changes that are going to be taken out of HD. However, Adywan has made great decisions so far. I’m sure there are still many great surprises ahead for Star Wars HD. Star Wars: Revisited doesn’t do away with the original version if you prefer to watch it, and it won’t erase DVD 9 - it will still be around. I’m also pretty confident others will fan-edit Revisted HD with clips from DVD 9 once it’s complete. There will be A version of Star Wars for everyone.

The only thing I wish that could get the ‘Adywan treatment’ in that scene, would be for Luke to be the one whom sends Fett into the Sarlaac.

Looks like Lucas considered it. Sure enough, I never noticed it before. There is a lightsaber slash across the middle of Boba’s Jet Pack when Han bumps it with his stick-

Happy Life Day, everyone.

This is a little excessive, But I’ve always though there wasn’t really enough Star Destroyers to keep the rebel ships pinned in.

The Battle of Endor but the Empire has ALL their ships-

Newly filmed footage? I hope your camera is good enough.

For newly filmed, I plan to not really do real sets, but do nearly all compositing live actors against existing footage background rotoscoped to clean background plates. Aspect ratio of finished composite will match though. Actor shots would be as much as I can get away with not showing faces, but where faces are needed, plan to use deepfake/similar technology to map faces than synced over to actual actor performances from radio drama etc.

Hoping I can pull it off and be seamless or near. full edit without extra shot footage to be done first.

Camera would be gopro or similar 4K (more than I need just for the body shots on green screen). Nothing fancy… Will probably more effort in composting than doing a location shoot but I dont live near the desert or have access to real set 😃

Will post a first sample clip of a “deep fake” new scene before year end. I have a near completed edit of extra 3CPO and R2 scenes when they land on Tatooine using existing footage and various angles that allow the extra scene to blend in. Anthony voices from this extended scenes in radio drama of course, so that makes it extremely easy to pull off.

I am sure most here are familiar with the actors and lines from the radio drama, but here is rundown of original actor performances for extra scenes, I have to work with.

-ANH
Anthony D
Mark H
Bigs (Garrick Hagon) does not perform, but Kale Browne is very close and with audio software I almost have an exact match to Garrick
Alec G, again not performing, but Bernard Behrens is very close as well and with audio software I almost have an exact match

needs work:
Vader -Brock Peters to me sounds nothing like James, but there are plenty of ways to get the voice, actually not many vader extra scenes have talking
Solo - Perry King from the RadioD can come close to harrison, but we’ll see, there are plenty of audio clips of harrison I plan to use to recreate what lines I need + will deal with it when it comes
Leia - Ann Sachs is somewhat over dramatize for a Leia, but can get close carrie with digital adjustments + of course carrie’s movie lines and words from her list films should be enough options. Like vader I don’t see too many additional speaking for leia

for ESB (orignal actors)
Billy D
Anthony D
Mark H

for ROTJ (orignal actors)
Anthony D

I hear about these kind of Voice mimic programs, but I don’t know how well they actually work-

For the scene when Luke surrenders himself to Vader, is it still being considered changing Vader’s line from “Obi-Wan once thought as you do” to “Your mother once thought as you do”?

An interesting thought I’ve had recently is that they might try to make this line make more sense retroactively through the Kenobi show. As in, before they fight Obi-Wan is like, “Come with me, it’s still not too late.” We’ll see.

Good Point. I wondered myself if they would try to shoehorn in Uncle Owen mentioning Anakin following Obi-Wan and getting involved.

A few people have tried on Youtube. Some are good, but have yet to see one that’s 100%

The blinking lights on Vader’s chest plate are seamless. Those are the best FX when you can’t even tell. But it they should blink top-bottom/middle-middle-bottom/middle-top-bottom/middle-bottom. Not top-bottom/middle-middle-bottom/middle-top-bottom/middle-top. Hope you fix that or it will drive me crazy.
Alderaan’s destruction is fantastic. Well, maybe not for the Alderaanians-but it sure looks cool. The lightsaber jump-cut, R2’s correct background-it’s all great! I’m certain their are other enhancements I haven’t even noticed yet.
It will be a day long remembered when I can sit down and watch all three of these edits.

It’s Imperial March not Darth Vader’s theme song. The Imperial March is in Episode 2,3, Rogue one and even Solo: A Star Wars story. In episode 6 it’s used when the Emperor arrives at the Death Star. Playing the Imperial March for the Revisited’s grand reveal of the Death Star is fitting. That being said, Rogue One Death Star music is fine. Whatever Adywan thinks is best for the scene.

A quick suggestion for ROTJ:R, maybe throw in a reference to Thrawn in the background displays or see if you can add the Rebel’s Ghost ship in the Battle of Endor. It would be quite a treat for fans of Star Wars Rebels. ESB:R is a masterpiece. Wishing you all the best on ROTJ:R Ady!

Ady really isn’t into adding things from the EU, and I personally wouldn’t want him to step on the new canon by assuming either of those things survive to RotJ!

Sabine mentions at the end of Rebels that Hera fought in the Battle of Endor & Ghost is in Rise of Skywalker-just sayin’.

Thanks @Jarbear. I managed to unpack the first part but others keep failing. Gonna try to redownloading them.

Opening looks incredible!!!

You do have all the files in the same folder? You shouldn’t be able to just extract the first file and be able to watch that part. All files need to be in the same folder, you start extracting the first RAR only, not each one individually, and it extracts every one to combine it into the full movie

I didn’t know that. Much appreciated. It weirdly let me unpack part 1 that said it was over 2 hours but cut at the AT-AT scene but from what I’ve seen you’ve done an outstanding job on this. I’ll wait til I have all parts before trying again and will definately donate once I’m back at work.

I’m used to 7-Zip and had the same problem. Highlight all the files and then extract.

It was a mistake born form Geoge Lucas’s inexperiance with fight scene at the time, quite why he never thought to adress it as one of the many chnages he made in his SE I can’t fathom.

What?! George has said he doesn’t like human violence. That’s why Obi-Wan didn’t go around cutting down Stormtroopers. I wager he deliberately went with the severed arm that would be the most alien.
