Isn’t the hole bigger because Luke just crashed through it? I guess you’re saying it’s suddenly that big before he goes out…
It would be cool to see Luke smash through!

That’s about it, the hole becomes bigger even before he gets flung out. I guess adjusting the window would’ve been easier than training Mark’s stunt double to smash through it.

Because the focus is different from one shot (Luke in the front while the window is in the background) and the second shot (Luke and the window in the same focal plane), don’t you think ?

He means the bottom part of the window is broken out in the second scene even before Luke flies through it without an explanation as to why it’s broken, not the whole window itself changing size.

The scene works. The camera flashes to Luke before he’s sucked out the window while there are still items smashing at the window. I always just figured one of those items broke through the lower part while the camera was pointed at Luke. I guess it just depends on you certain point of view.

Paramount lists new rules for Star Trek Fan Films.
The rules are horrible. people have spent $1000s of dollars of their own money to express their love for Star Trek. I hate to see it go this way. It’s a slap in the face to the fans that kept the franchise going when the studio couldn’t. Now you can’t even wear a Star Trek shirt in a fan film unless it’s official, licensed, merchandise, not to mention the fifteen minute time limit. I was afraid of something like this might happen to Star Wars when Disney took over.

It looks like Star Wars Revisited is now inadvertently official canon. The new novels are all considered canon from Disney. At the beginning of Smuggler's Run, Chewie is looking at his medal and puts in in his satchel as he gets his stuff together to leave Yavin IV. As far at I know, Revisited is the only version available where Chewie receives a medal.

It is his hand. I was curious to know for sure myself now so I took a screen shot into Photoshop and zoomed in. It's 100% a hand with a lightsaber. Though it's not gripping it. The hand is open falling in beside the hilt of the saber. Afterwards I stumbled on this-

http://scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/8053/is-that-lukes-hand-falling-down-at-the-end-of-the-empire-strikes-back

My screenshot actually turned out clearer than this one, though I don't know if it's different because mine is from the special ed. It also really looks like his left hand which is curious.

Thanks for the update! It looks like Han is going to turn out looking pretty awesome when it's finished.

Though as far as releasing Empire Revisited close to the TFA release date, I've been holding out watching the Original Trilogy for a few years now waiting for this version of Empire Strikes Back-even before Disney bought Lucasfilm. One way or another I will watch the OT before Force Awakens. If it's complete, even if it's right before the TFA release date, I hope you reconsider.

Until the site problems have been fixed i won't be replying to all the previous replies. I'm fed up with typing out a lengthy response only to press "post reply" and the damn site has gone down and i lose everything i've typed. Hopefully the issues will be fixed soon

I've been kicked off Yahoo numerous times after writing a lengthy email. If I intend to write a large email or post on any site now I just write it in word then just copy and paste it-that way if something goes wrong when I send or upload I can just re-paste it and try again.

back then I thougth R2 and 3PO had a very long partnership going way beyond Episode 1 ... cause those droids could be "ancient" ;-)

Ancient-I'd say. Don't forget the two droids were carved into the wall of the Well of Souls-

Idea & Info: Looking forward to... Avengers - The Extended Fan Cut Spoilers

Iron Man's mask when it's off- I blame Michael Keaton and Batman Returns. Ever since then, every masked character seems to spend 50% of their costume-on time with their masks off. The filmmakers are running out of ways to keep those masks on...

It's the other way around-filmmakers aren't running out of ways to keep the mask on, they are looking for ways to get that mask off. An actor has more range when you can see his face. Add to that I'm sure if they are paying an actor millions to play a part they don't want to cover up his face. The Toby Spider-man willfully took his mask off when he was trying to save that train in Spider-man 2-what the hell was that?! But then we could see all the effort and strain he put in trying to rescue those people.

Watch the commentary for Avengers-Joss even mentions the bank fight with the alien and Capt. America was just an opportunity to get his mask off. Hell, even in one of the trailers for Cap 2 he drops his mask on the ground before the big showdown.

It will be curious to see if Ben Affleck's Batman is able to keep his mask on.

Info Wanted: Are there any fan edits of Man of Steel - with John Williams Music?
Time

I don’t know if that’s true. The music was used for Smallville and used to advertise the animated series. It’s simply great music for Superman- I don’t think the Zimmer stuff is even in the same league. In five years you won’t even remember it-but the John Williams score has lasted the test of time-nearly 35 years.

You can see in the clip I linked to that it adds something more to the scene. Maybe it’s just from nostalgia but I thought it made the dark tone a little more fun- which was something that was sorley needed in this film. It doesn't even feel forced into the clip.

Just add an extra line of dialog to explain everything like George Lucas did every scene in Red Tails. When the Stormtroopers swarm in behind Han, Leia, & Chewie after Vader takes Han’s Blaster away have one of the Stormtroopers say-

“I’m sure glad Boba Fett was able to figure out the Millennium Falcon was headed here to Bespin while he was tracking them in Slave 1 and jamming their radar.” And then maybe Chewie could step in some poo. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

I always assumed Slave 1 simply had a cloaking device to follow behind the Falcon. Out of curiosity I looked up both S1 versions in the Star Wars Complete Cross-Sections book just to see what it said. It does not list cloaking device for either Jango or Boba's Slave 1. However when it mentions the upgrades for the ship it says, "A stolen military secret sensor jamming and masking device enables Slave 1 to disappear from most scanning systems."

The Star Destroyer took off one way and it was Boba alone who followed after the Falcon. So it would have been Fett who let Vader in on Solo's finale destination. They both have working Hyperdives so they both beat the Falcon to Bespin. If you do go with the EU Boba would have known about Lando and Han's connection. If you don't go with the EU then I figure the best bounty hunter in the galaxy would at least research Han's history and again find that connection. I assume without a working hyperdrive Han would be making a straight line to Cloud City to boot- so with a simple flimsiplast star map and a mere plasteel ruler it wouldn't be too difficult for Boba Fett to triangulate where our heroes headed.

I’m sure it’s a little late in the game for this kind of suggestion, and I don’t know if anyone has already touched on this, but in ANH when Tarkin and Vader let the Millennium Falcon escape so they could follow it to Yavin 4, they dispatched four Tie Fighters after Han’s ship just for show. Then, in Empire when Vader really wants to capture that ship they still only send a mere four Ties to pursue. Would love to see a few more tie fighters thrown in the mix during Han’s Hoth escape- at least at the beginning of the chase as a show of serious force by the Empire. Once Han darts into the asteroid field meteors could simply take out all the extra added Revisisted ships right off the bat.

PT would be a lot better with just some edits. No battle droid speak, new voice for jar jar (jar jar not capitalized for a reason) take out the "Yipee! & the "Noooooooo!" edit out some of the useless filler, slap stick, & midichlorian talk, edit down the senate gobbly gook, and-boom! The movies are 20% better already! I do hope jar jar still steps in crap though-now that's funny stuff!!!
