And there's one sound labeled as "Lobot"; it's a strange sound I've never heard in the movies... clues anyone?

Speaking of droids: Ady, did you check on Anthony Daniel's face beng visible in the scene that Chewbacca had screwed (sorry) 3PO's head backwards?

Watch closely as you will see the back of 3PO's to be strangely "bulgy", mostly near the neck, as is the place where Anthony Daniels' chin protudes (he had 3PO's face behind his own, because Chewbacca screwed the droid's head backwards). It's something that annoyed me every time since I saw this scene for the very first time...

Hope this sheds some more light to it! :)

Ady, are you going to fix 3PO's head's back side (actually, Anthony Daniel's "face") when Chewbacca is fixing him in the prison cell at Cloud City?

They tried to sort of fix it in 2004 DVD, but they left the job unfinished...

True. Well, the point aren't the miles travelled, but the same rotating movement of the camera in two or three consecutive scenes... what I am asking if it's not too much rotation, and would be better to see Hoth framed and only some spinning-on-its-own-axis movement (we all know it's the same probe whirling deep into space that later arrives to Hoth, no need of a "Ric Olie camera movement" to show that ;P)

PS: sorry if I don't make myself very clear, but English is not my mother tongue :)

Ady, could you consider replacing the rotating camera movement when we fist see Hoth from space with a still camera and making the planet rotate on its own axis? I don't know how, everytime I see the trailer, I found something annoying when my eyes follow the probe through deep space in a whirl, and suddenly, with the same camera movement, a huge planet is filling my screen...I don't have the sensation that probe has travelled millions of miles, because of the same rotating camera movement. Does anyone feel the same?

Don't misunderstand me, Ady, I know it's your beautiful work and you have the last word, I am perfectly aware of that... just this humble SW fan throwing in some consideratios ;)

I have one question for Ady:

Are you removing that three seconds SE scene of the citizens in the corridor who stop to look upwards as Lando advises to leave the city?

It always seemed to me very, very out of place... those three lone people in a ill-lit, terrible looking CGI corridor (which reminds me some of the most awful GCI scenes in the PT). The people doesn't look right, their clothes don't look right, the corridor doesn't look right... Is it going to be removed somehow?

Oh, by "shuttle" I meant "Lambda-class shuttle". I was watching Ady's ESB theatrical version, and that strange vessel with advanced TIE wings was indeed a shuttle, as Cpt. Needa states, but not a Lambda-class shuttle. So that's why in my mind there is no (Vader/Emperor) "shuttle" in ESB :)

ABC is right about the shuttle not belonging to ESB, just as Ady stated AT-ST was not going to be on Hoth, as it belonged to ROTJ.

I'm quite sure Ady is not including the "look-at-my-new-cool-ship shuttle scene" in Luke's rescue, as he is trying always to mantain the pace of action... and this nonsense shuttle scene is quite like a "filmus interruptus" ;)

I'm with Bingowings. I think the med droid just said that as he could've have talked about the weather.

To me, that scene always sounded like when, in real life, the doctor fills with some trivial remark that silent moment that almost always happens as the patient finishes dressing up :)

I do love the new shot! But... something's wrong with the shadows.

In the old shot, shadows were almost invisible due to the heavy clouds covering the sun, but you can see the direction of them on the ground.

In this mock-up (sorry for the bad quality) I show you first the direction of the shadows and the fading sun (high contrast), and then what should the shadow under the carrier look like (more elongated in the 'nose' direction).

About Ben Burtt's book The Sounds of Star Wars at Celebration V:

"(the book) includes all of the growling and snarling recorded for the reptilian bounty hunter, Bossk, most of which was not used in The Empire Strikes Back."

This is one I'd like to hear, and it would be perfect that its quality is really good, so sounds could be used for our edits!! :D

Still, I think it's completely unnecesary to show Dak covered in blood. As many posted before, there's no need to be Captain Obvious all the time: when I saw the film for the first time (I was 10 too), I didn't have any problem to imagine that Dak was down with the laser hit so he wasn't able to answer Luke, it all made perfectly sense as it was... and I tell you Ady is not going to add a shot of Dak bleeding, because that's what GL would do :P
