Info: Back to the Future - without DNR & EE

Depends on the dics, they are softer and always 1080i and some have awful masters and blocky encodes but some are amazing.

Shame they are all for the hyper rich only, as a rip of the Jurassic Park and BTTF sets would be amazing

I'm in. Got the 22gb interlaced D-Theater (there's a 14gb reencoded version progressive removing the black bars). Any sync of the original DTS LD sound will be awesome.

Now that is the file I would want, can it be downloaded anywhere?

Thanks

Looks like rutracker has the 22gb 1080i file.

There is a 26gb one on there

The Great Escape - Non DNR/Teal and Orange Preservation (* unfinished project *)
Time

Looking at the reviews and screenshots of this amazing movie and it just will not do!

New colour timing, messed up contrast, DNR.

What I have:

1. 1080i HDTV 1.78:1 Cropped

2. 1080i HDTV 2.35:1 Slight Crop from the 1998 2.39:1 Master

3. 720p HDTV 2.35:1 Looks to be same master as above

DVD Extras

BD-HDTV 2

BD

What I need

Criterion Laserdisc Commentary

The contrast needs correcting in the HDTV, but its is already better.

I want to add the extras, and the Commentary track to a BD25 restoration

Okay since the DTS track has surfaced here's an idea for a Goldeneye restoration.

Use the 720p UE master HDTV rip as a basis which as-is is immeasurably superior to the BD. It does have the revisionist color timing (not as bad as the UE DVD) and cropping in addition to a redone title sequence. What we could try to do is marry the cropped information from the DNR riddled master and the re-timed HDTV cap. The crop stays petty solid and doesn't move so what it will essentially look like is a projector with the edges of the image running off of the screen and slightly out of focus. But this way we can have an HD image that matches the theatrical, maintains grain and doesn't lose the cropped material. Drop in the original titles sequence and the DTS track and it's set.

I was looking at doing something similar with the DTS audio added

DTS audio preservation .... UPDATE 07 May 2015 ... Work In Progress
Time

Sure thing, it is not perfect but is at least a 14gb file and some grain is on view and at least the colour timing is original and you know he will sort out the really obvious stuntmen in the film plus it somes with with no DNR/ReGrain!

I was going to do some work on it but Robin Hood has stolen my time.

If we can find a way to get 14gb to you quickly I am all for it

The BD is coming out this year. I would wait.

I can do without Cameron's colour timing changes thanks, plus there is no 100% conformation of this just the same rumours the same crap sites have trotted out yearly

I would be willing to help you with the True Lies files, but what would be a good video source to synch it to? at 1 time there was a member here that was going to share the HD video of it with me but never did, sure would have been nice to have that video right now, because this could make a great BD until it officially gets released.

I have the DVHS nicely ripped

Help: looking for... Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves - a Theatrical Cut
Time

Got the HDTV version for you, it is not stellar and not in english but it is a start with some colour correction and a play plus an english soundtrack we are in business.

Damn, did they have a pink setting for scanning in the 90's?????

Ugly looking thing!

Going to try a few changes and make it more rich and golden, and also make it look more like film and less like video (I can make the original available and take ideas on CC)

Nasty pink

Colour Correct

Close to final colour/lighting
