We have the 1080 hdtv version of aliens
We have the 1080 hdtv version of aliens
Waterworld did have a dts-s mix I think hmmmmmmm
There is already a thread for this, and you can add nearly every single WB catalogue title to the list.
The great escape had some minor dnr that you can't shift

So you remixed it to 5.1? Because the center info is exact to what the hd-dvd has and not just voice
There was no remixing done by me. The proggie essentially separates the channels per the DTS cinema standard. Now, once that is done it CAN be adjusted is usually needed for home use compared to cinema use.

:)
Why would it remix a 4.0 mix to 5.1 what would be the point? that is what I am getting at
It is possible that the 4.0 mix you speak of was for 70mm print (if it had one) showings.

hello, hope this helps You, I asked a guy who done the theatrical mix for Waterworld and he wrote this:
"When we mix for a film, we mix in a discrete mode, that being, we monitor without the Dolby or DTS matrix inserted into the monitors. For "Waterworld" we created a 5.1 mix for four formats: Dolby Digital, DTS, and SDDS and the 2 trk LT RT . I have no idea what happens once the project leaves for DVD mastering. It's done somewhere else, and sometimes not even on the studio lot. It's possible that the DVD made into a 5.0 was generated from the 2 trk Print Master."
This post from the other thread shows there was a 2 Trk LT RT mix done but I do not have it. I have no information on what presentation the mix was created for.
There was never a 70mm blow up but both lddb and this forum says it had a 4.0 theatrical track.
I am saying in no way is that cinema disc 4.0 it is way too well mixed to be a 4.0 track upmixed to 5.1.
I am saying it was always 5.1

It is not that hard anymore all the newest leaks on the net are from foreign itunes, including in the last few weeks both this and Iron Man

$2000 - $3000

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=251329077350
Cheap as hell maybe as long as not too many more people spot it
In for this
There is no way a program can separate the centre audio that perfectly
There may be a 4.0 mix but I am thinking we didn't hear it however
Got it, will have a look
EDIT
it is a real 5.1 track, it is way too well mixed to not be, the surrounds are split and the center has dedicated info.
No way a machine did this automatically
Double edit
Remembered I had the HD-DVD ripped, it is the same mix but the DTS blows it out of the water!
Can someone upload a sample of the DTS track so i can take a look see please?
Hmmmmm that is an odd one
I take it the Cinema DTS is the 4.0 mix? why indlude the DD+ over the DTS-HD?

Are you hyping the cover more than the video?
Not at all. Both are equally perfect, from the direct video source right to the finely detailed artwork. You be the judge.
I am the judge, I used to be able to sell my covers, it is thoroughly average
Are you hyping the cover more than the video?
Thanks
Checked and looks like I had the wrong file, keeping all the working files in the same folder with the same name is not a good idea then...
I do not have the audio drift but it has the jerks, I think going with the 25fps and reconverting the FPS is the way forward anyone suggest a better program to convert?
Cut very early the make up was not working, so they made the crow his link to the other world and his resurrection
It's pretty damn poor, there are two scenes I have both they are bootleg vhs at best
Put together a little test with the original vision

Don't do any of the black and white thing.
James O'barr wrote the comic, not the script. He did not direct it. There's a reason he isn't responsible for any artistic choices; he is not a filmmaker.
If Alex Proyas had wanted black and white, he is artistically creative enough to have done it.
Leave the color.
I'd rather you found away to restore the Skull Cowboy.
Turns out Alex wanted it also
Director Alex Proyas originally wanted to shoot the entire movie in "black and white" closer to the comics and only using color in Draven's flash backs scenes with high contrast theme, but the studio executives didn't allow him to experiment with approach. This made Proyas shoot much of the movie in a monochromatic color theme mixed with red and dark gray.
