I still can’t believe it.
I still can’t believe it.
None of this is relevant to the topic of this thread.
Darth Vader having a castle on a lava planet is a nod to the prequels, and not a nod to his backstory since the very beginning and a concept that was proposed for ESB? News to me!
LOL, Yahoo Groups
(I think Inner Light is super overrated and I’m not sure I’d put it in my top 10 episodes of TNG, but that may be my bias against the main story of an episode being a flashback-type thing that doesn’t matter)
I hope you enjoy the military marching past the White House to show off our power, probably waving “TRUMP” banners.
I doubt the military will be waving Trump banners. That is not normally what they do.
What is “normal” anymore, Warb? We’ve got a reality star that was the running gag of the 80s & 90s in the White House who’s appointing people to positions apparently to prove how ineffectual the government can be.
I’m going to be very interested to read these posts again in four years.
I still maintain that Trump will not turn out to be the next Hitler nor will he be the great savior. I think when it’s all said and done he will probably be a “meh” president with liberals upset that he wasn’t the catastrophe they rant and rave about and everyone who believed what he said upset that he failed to live up to 95% of his campaign promises.
I more or less agree with regards to Trump himself… I think he’s a bad person, but I doubt we’ll see anything truly groundbreaking one way or the other from him during his time in office (though we will continue to have at least one ridiculous drama or scandal or controversy per day). I’m more interested about his cabinet picks and the Republican-controlled congress.
The right wing has a chance to prove they know what they’re doing with regards to America, and we’ll see if they truly do (or not) in these coming years. They face very little opposition in congress and from the President as well as eventually the supreme court, so it’ll be interesting to see their agendas at (mostly uncontested) work.
Intersting is not the word I would use.
Fascinating. And where were you on the day that President Obama delivered his timeless historic speech?
As if Trump will ever deliver a timeless historic speech.
“Timeless historic speech” will be replaced with “catchphrase”. As in, we’ll all remember when he said “You’re fired” as he pushed The Button to blow Iran off the map.
(This would probably break the forum)
Use both at the end of every sentence, just to be sure?!
I wish the forum software supported the interrobang.
The what‽
Took me a moment to see what you did there.
I didn’t see it either. Great job!
In honor of President Barack Obama’s very very last day, and hours as President, please share your memory of his greatest speech. You know the one, that one on par with “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!,” “Four score and seven year ago,” “Ask not what your country can do for you…,” “a date which will live in infamy,” and “I can hear you, the rest of the world hears you! And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!”
You all know that speech President Obama gave that made us all shiver in patriotism, share your memories of it. You know where you were at when you heard it, just share.
“Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” (1987)
“Four score and seven year ago” (1863)
“Ask not what your country can do for you…” (1961)
“a date which will live in infamy” (1941)
“I can hear you, the rest of the world hears you! And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!” (2001)
4 of these were during war time (cold and otherwise), one of them from the inauguration of perhaps the most charismatic president ever, the most recent one was 16 years ago and I personally had never heard before. Since Obama didn’t start any wars, he really didn’t need to give “RA RA PATRIOTISM” speeches to justify his actions.
I hope you enjoy the military marching past the White House to show off our power, probably waving “TRUMP” banners.
I like the idea of the prequels-as-flashback (and actually wrote about it on my site before “Machete Order” was a thing), but I’ve never tried it personally. For a new viewer, I would always go release order, with the prequels as a last resort, so my list would be:
SW, ESB, RotJ, TFA, R1, TPM, AotC, RotS
But probably end up being:
SW, ESB, RotJ, TFA, R1, SW
Star Trek Discovery postponed again, this time without any date given
Also, Sarek!
It’s a featurette on casting Anakin.

“The media reports things I don’t like so I have no choice but to lie on twitter.”
He acts like a teenager and if we call him out on that his proof that he’s not is to go on twitter and whine about it like a teenager.
Does anyone have a screenshot of the shot of Lucas’ pad of paper that just says “STAR WARS EPISODE 1” from one of the documentaries? I need it for comedy.
Looks like its in here, but I can’t get it to load at work.

EDIT: I guess it’s not in there.
EDIT2: It was from the end of The Beginning, I was able to make my joke:
Does anyone have a screenshot of the shot of Lucas’ pad of paper that just says “STAR WARS EPISODE 1” from one of the documentaries? I need it for comedy.
Changes, not necessarily the bigger ones. I don’t think he wants to promise things that he might not be able to get working in the edit.
I’m looking forward to that eventual ‘saga’ trailer too! I’d forgotten about that.
That’s likely to be after ESB:R comes out now.
sorry if I missed it but what exactly is the “saga trailer”?
thank you
It’s a trailer featuring potential shots from all 6 Revisited edits.
I was asked to talk about my Top 10 Movies of 2016 on my friend’s podcast, so I had to watch some more movies from 2016 before I recorded so I wouldn’t have to have X-Men: Apocalypse or Deadpool in my list.
If you haven’t already recorded, I’d recommend the following:
We recorded Monday, but Hell or High Water was on my friend’s list!
Pretty sure if it was still canon, the guy who runs canon wouldn’t have a Twitter poll joking about its canonicity.
So, is there still going to be a list of names added to the end credits? If I’m not mistaken, I tried and successfully made the list, but I can never be too sure.
We’ve got your real name on the list, but it was finalized some years ago, so I’m not sure exactly how it’s going to be handled in the end.
He already has a quality rig, this is a secondary machine for monitoring recreated shots for comparison, which is why he’s only asking for £350 to cover it.
Here’s all the updates so far in the last couple days:

Argh! Makes me so mad to check his FB page and see idiots commenting that Ady is somehow scamming people for a new laptop. Effin’ dumpster-heads!
(That’s why I don’t have comments on the site)
They should rename it Star Flaws seeing as they can’t make a decent film! Irvin will be rolling!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, you’re amazing.
We also watched Thoroughly Modern Millie this weekend. Wow, what a troublesome musical. There’s racism, sex trafficking, and a twist at the end that is just weird. And way too much Julie Andrews complaining about her bust size for my comfort.
