the inventory droid floating in space.
Who then BROKE INTO SONG. This episode was hilarious. And Josh Gad can apparently play it cool in a role, that’s good to know.
I’m confused.

I can only speak for the things I’ve found, but this one’s definitely a Deliberate Creative Decision:
What’s happening here is that there is a noticeable increase in brightness between the first and final frames of this shot, as if someone thought ‘hey, the door is opening but it’s not getting bright enough inside’. The SSE shows no increased brightness.
Anything else?
The answer was already given:
The truth is probably that there is no ‘true’ color because the rotoscoping in the OT was not very good (especially ANH). Whatever color it is ‘supposed to be’ is probably whatever it was in the PT or TFA.
BUT THEY BROKE THE LAw!!
I am curious, why did you write “LAw” that way?
Probably got tired of holding down that Shift key.
Hey look, you can get the 6-Disc DVD set that includes the GOUT from Amazon for only $310…and free Prime shipping!
I didn’t know that set had the GOUT. I thought the only time those DVDs were released in one package was the rare Best Buy tin.
I have the tin case set. Anyways as Fang confirmed yes that set does have the GOUT sets just in slimmer cases and would be the final time, along with the PT, the SW films were in a DVD only set.
Quick question. The DVDs that accompanied the 2013 BD reissues. Are those new DVDs based off the 2011 BDs or just the 2004 DVDs repackaged??
I remember reading confirmation somewhere that they are indeed the 2011 versions.
I was under the impression the DVD’s were just 2004 because who would notice?* Interesting.

Mon Mothma & Bail Organa seem pretty chill about him having a Jedi friend in R1.
Wha?
Bail is like “I guess I should send someone to get my Jedi friend.”
About a year ago now, a guy called up to see if I could cut his hair “Like Obi-Wan Kenobi from Episode 2”. I said “No prequels.” and hung up.
I finally caught up on this last night, man that made my heart warm to see the rebel fleet show up! hard to believe they can fit in another whole season… 😃
Still plenty to do before Scarif. I’m just interested to see how the Jedi are dispatched. It’s going to be hard to explain how Luke is special if there’s a grown-up Padawan & his Padawan who just left.
“You’re strong with the Force? That sucks, you just missed a couple of Jedi, one around your age*. They could probably teach you a thing or two.”

Yes, that will certainly be interesting to see how they handle it. having cool Jedi around that the Rebels are aware of (and even Princess Leia to some extent - she did meet them in Season 2 right?) certainly make some behavior in the OT seem like they suffered from mass amnesia.
Now that I think about it, no one seems to care he’s a Jedi. Only Yoda is like “when gone am I, the last of the Jedi will you be”. Mon Mothma & Bail Organa seem pretty chill about him having a Jedi friend in R1. The only other time anyone really mentions it is when Han says Luke is having delusions of grandeur.
We’re all good, considering that was brought up a year ago and we all had a good laugh at it.
What’s funny about it?
15 pages of goodness
I mean, you have to ignore the swagmasta garbage.

I dunno what conversation this has spun from, but maybe someone said “California” when they meant “Florida”?
I could visit California for a few weeks, probably, but there’s no way on earth I’d want to live there. I accidentally said this to someone from California and suffered the consequences of a poor first impression.
I could visit California for a few weeks, probably, but there’s no way on earth I’d want to live there.
Why?
For pretty much the same reasons I wouldn’t want to live in Texas or Florida.
Immigrants?
Sure. Someone could do it. With all of the fan effect updates for Star Trek, I’m honestly kind of surprised no one has just replaced all of the effects themselves.
No.
Can someone answer a question for me that I cant seem to find an answer to, even on Google. I feel stupid asking it becasue I should know it already. Im a bit confused when it comes to the term “non-anamorphic.” I often hear that the GOUT version is non-anamorphic, yet it looks no different than any other widescreen offering of SW.
This exact issue is part of my blog post on aspect ratios: https://doubleofive.wordpress.com/2010/01/29/aspect-ratios-a-primer/
Another “leaked hint” ?

They’re referring here to the OT remastered by Lowry Digital. What stands out is the fact that they’re talking about “grain reduction and dust and dirt removal”, which wouldn`t be necessary if they would’ve to remaster the 2004/2011 versions of the films.
We pretty much know the now infamous Lowry 4K scan is of the negative, which would be the '97. The '04 version is based off a 2K scan of that negative.
Confirmed by the fact that you can see the 97 Jabba tail in this wipe.
“I, Mudd” is one of my favorite episodes of TOS, mostly because it’s also ridiculous.
If CBS can pay for The Next Generation to be rebuilt entirely from the raw camera negatives, they can pick the original wipes up and put them back in.
And yes, every single wipe was redone, most of them with slightly different timing.
This film was intrinsically bad idea.
IMPSCUM COMES FROM THE FUTURE TO WARN US OF BAD MOVIES
I’m intrigued by the concept of a “What If” arc, but I think I’ll tire of it if it goes on too long.
In other news, I still had the Hulu page up for AoS up when my wife got up yesterday. “You’re still watching SHIELD?”, she asked, her voice echoed by pretty much everyone else on the planet.
I’ve really liked the last couple of episodes. Looks like we’re leaning into Rogue One with this last one. Once R1 comes out on Blu, I’m hoping we can do a comparison to see if this fleet is the exact fleet at Scarif.
Forgive me if this has been answered before, but will ESB:R have a track with pop-up changes like the ANH:R DVD? I found this useful, especially when showing it to my kids.
Ady has said that the changes in ESB:R are far too numerous for a pop-up to keep up with. I do think there will be a comparison image gallery. If Ady doesn’t make it, I’m pretty sure someone (005?) will.
If Ady provides the split screen for me, but even then I’d miss a bunch of stuff. I think Ady is going to provide me the pictures like he did for ANHR and I’ll just host them on our SWR Google Photos.
Every single wipe was redone for the SE, so that’s a lot of branching for OUT.
How long will I hold out not buying a Nintendo system I’ll play for a month then never touch again?
A couple months, maybe.
