This last episode wasn't terrible. They still haven't justified the flash-sideways to me though.

Bunch of girls around here. Oh wait, we're not, that's the point...
*Pokes head in*
I have a friend at Belmont!

Bobocop, I can never focus on the content of your posts due to the awesomeness that is your sig. Please consider upping the awesomeness of your posts to surpass it, if that's humanly possible.
;-)
Oh, I'm terrible at this. I hear people talking about "the third act" and I'm like, what, huh? I guess my Scriptwriting class was pretty lackluster, huh?
it was a trap?
I'm using this opportunity to plug the petition. And quote Star Wars with my friend more than usual.
"Cup!"

Aren't all off topic threads mine eventually?
I showed my wife. She thought it was gross. I think its awesome.
I've hit a roadblock. No matter how close I follow Ady's excellent directions/settings, I get framerate issues all over. Repeated frames, missing frames. I don't get it. And I only have 17 days left in my Sony Vegas trial.
Someone else may have to take up the reigns of this project. I started doing the framing to the 2004 version, but I later decided that I would just need to do my own version, especially after hearing about all of the different ones from KM.
I know you're a noob, but have you seen the 2006 DVD? It's misframed, jittery, blurry, and nowhere close to the quality for 2004 1080p HD source he's using for ESB. He used it to help get the basis for his color correction, but the quality is worth the work to color correct each shot.
For example:
These people complaining about the crazy suggestions for ESB obviously haven't seen the RotJ Wishlist in my sig or the even more insane things I DIDN'T put on there. Everthing has been suggested and RotJR hasn't even started yet!
I'm still a supporter of killing Lando and removing Boba Fett completely. More on that whenever we move on to RotJR. I'm not going to be hurt if they don't make it in Revisited (or DO make it, as the case may be), because it's a fanedit, and the movie can be fan edited again.
I'm jealous Johnny. For reals.
Thanks for the caps, I'll see if I can match it, but I'm not going to worry about it too much, especially if each version had it a little different.
But then I grew up with the 1982 CED/Videodisc release recorded to a VHS in LP mode. Where's my release?! ;-)
I'm going to have to see this new Avatar Fox logo next to the existing one. You know how I like comparisons!
Indeed he did. However they are talking about replacing the logo
at the beginning of the film itself, not just a clever DVD intro.

I'm with 005 on this one. The idea's very cool as an intro to a bonus disc, but for me, that classic 20th Century Fox fanfare and logo, followed by the Lucasfilm logo, is the start of Star Wars. Tinkering with it, therefore, seems like a bad idea to me.
I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that, to this day, whenever I'm watching a movie from 20th Century Fox and that logo and music start up, for a fraction of a second I get excited because my brain thinks it's about to see Star Wars (see... Pavlov was right!). Why mess with something that ingrained our our collective heads?
It's my understanding that 100 GB discs are either data only or not compatible with current Blu-ray players.
Intro to bonus disc that is 100% Ady's work? Yes.
Intro to movie paid for by Fox? No.
What about the font used for the fullscreen VHS? I guess I need to figure that out pretty soon.
How frustrating! I'm not sure what to tell you man. Maybe you should talk to your parents, surely they are seeing this too. It's their daughter and granddaughter being hurt here. I'm not saying to hold an intervention, but your sister needs to be flat out told that her husband is a jerkface and she needs to do something about it. I would say to suggest threatening him to kick them out if he doesn't shape up, but it seems like that would only exacerbate the problem. If he does this living in your parents' house with them and you around, he'll be even worse if they were living on their own, especially if he's too lazy to get a job.
I encourage you to talk to your parents about it though.
I had a girl I liked who had never seen the Star Wars movies, but this was in my Dark Times, so I actually started with TPM and RotS wasn't out yet. That was interesting, let me tell you. I later apologized and told her that the prequels and SEs suck. She said "Then why did you make me watch them?!"
I have no excuse.

Anyways, I know at least one other forum member here (whom I won't out, but he is free to identify himself) has a rather serious SW fan for a wife...

My wife tolerates my Star Wars fanatacism. She doesn't sit down with me and watch the movies, but my 2 sons do. That's good enough for me. She's even asked me if I had any interest in joining the 501st or Rebel Legions.

What she really doesn't get is why I spend so much time here.
Google adywan and you should find what you seek. Also the .info of fanedit is valuable.
