That's so awesome! So tempting!
That's so awesome! So tempting!
Speaking of very silly, that's what this video is.
Barry, the one name we didn't guess!

August 2nd, as I said in random thoughts. Eighteen.
I had to tell them that both were fake. Busting their bubbles.

I can take you as far as Anchorhead.
LOL, love it. I was going to mock them for not reading the description, but Harmy changed it so it doesn't say that its a joke!none said:

Wow. We had some disks when I started here that I threw away because we didn't have any readers.xhonzi said:
We still use Zip discs at work. Not that I'm proud of that.
Yeah, I'm not seeing this as a good thing either. I can't put my finger on it, but something about blurring the line between film designs and art doesn't sit right with me. Sure, the stormtrooper helmet design is a work of art, but its also immediately identified with a movie series which is under copyright. Does that mean that in the UK you can make a movie visually identical to an older movie, as long as you don't use any of the character names?
But the studio is LFL. What does that mean!?zombie84 said:

Are any good movies ever released in January? I always thought it was a dumping ground.
Is this on for a January release? That is really, really bad news. December is the Oscar-month, when studios push their best material out to be eligible for the Academy Awards a few months later, when the films will be freshest in voters minds. January is then the dumping season, when studios quietly get rid of all those embarassing films that they regret they made in the first place. Once in a while there is a good movie in January, of course. But usually a January release date means the studio has not much confidence in you.
I'm interested in playing, as I think I understand American Football (more than baseball). But I don't know enough to commish anything.
Yesterday was a lie?
When the actors say things like "Lucas didn't like the tone, so he directed a lot of reshoots", I worry.Filthy Pierre said:

I'm hoping this movie will be fantastic. A world war 2 air movie without a love story watering it down.
If Lucas can pull this off all is forgiven for Episodes 1, 2 and 3 for me.
While I won't be liking the prequels anymore at least he'll be back in my good books. LOL
LOL, so true.EyeShotFirst said:
It seems more like Dragon Ball Z than wizardry in the later films.
Not a bad idea, but I've always thought the "older code" was like a week out of date, not years. It's not supposed to be a long lost freighter, it's supposed to be a supply ship that's a week late.Mithrandir said:
Well, considering Ady's prequels will be OTish, Adywan could put some elements of HIS prequels into ROTJ:R without betraying himself, couldn't he?
For instance, I read he's willing to replace the imperial shuttle in which Han flies to Endor with another shuttle. We know from the movie things like the shuttle calls the attention of the imperial officer by some reason, and that it has "an old security code" by the time of ROTJ.
Now suppose Ady finds, or designs, or inserts in PT:R some ship meant to be a Republic shuttle, then he could use it again in ROTJ:R as the old ship the rebels use to infiltrate...
RotJR will have new shots and effects. But no prequel stuff. Adywan wants the prequels to fit in with the originals.
Personally I wonder how many people will stop following the project after ANHRSEHD. I just hope the "you can't save the prequels!" naysayers will be content and not discouraging.
As you can see, Ady has been thinking about this longer than Lucas ever did.
WHAT?!
Perfect, exactly what I was dreaming of!
So, yes to "2004 version" (they would have shown new effects by now), and possible yes to "colors messed up in a different way".
Ah, but do we know of the enhanced gamma besides the pictures online, that the web designer may have brightened because of their darkness? That's my new question.zombie84 said:
It's the 2004 telecine/transfer, but not the same master. It's a new master derived from the 2004 HD master. The difference is that they have increased the gamma to resolve some of the dimness issues of the 2004 release. Of course, this introduces its own set of problems.
We believe its confirmed, but there are some among us who are still on a "wait and see" attitude, even after the ComicCon video has the color issues and Humdinger glitch.Adium said:
So I'm pretty sure it's confirmed, but I'd like to double check: we're looking at a 2004 DVD transfer, right? I want to change the title of the thread.
And I'm officially not buying this shit until it's in the bargain bin.
Is this an incentive to have them go through the movie frame-by-frame?Harmy said:
And me having to make another version could have been avoided if these things were already spotted in the workprint. I'd really like to avoid that situation with Jedi and I therefore decided, that I'm not gonna release ROTJ until somebody spots that glitch I already know about in the WP.
I moved the rest, just forgot the one you can see.
And what would taking away years from your OT Anniversary do to you?
