Having a good time with Titanfall. Even though there's no splitscreen, we seem to be having as much fun watching as we do playing (though Mrs O'Five complained of motion sickness last night).

Rented MGS5: Ground Zeroes last night. I was worried I would need more than the two night rental I paid for, turns out that I didn't need that even. I beat the story campaign in 80 minutes and that was after literally banging a truck against a gate for a few minutes after killing dozens of soldiers before Mrs pointed out the unlocked door I could have walked through probably 30 minutes before. I've never been very good at MGS, so I don't even think I'll be trying the side missions. I'm not sure why I feel the need to buy/play those games at all. I guess I can't resist such cinematic games, even if I can't begin to understand their plots.

And I figured that Kiefer Sutherland taking over as Snake would enhance my enjoyment, but I think I really prefer Hayter...

Most people consider only the movies canon. A growing number of people on this site only view the 1977 "Star Wars" as canon. One of the moderators only sees the Star Wars Radio Drama as canon.

So, canon is whatever you want it to be. I want to free you from this burden of "canon, not-canon".

Well they're doing a lot more than improving textures, that's a problem I have with most graphical upgrades to games. They always change things instead of just doing a 1:1 improvement.

Amazon had a super deal of the Alien Quadrilogy Blu-ray plus Prometheus for $20. However, I already own Alien and Aliens, so I felt I didn't need 3 movies I don't care for.

As much as I liked the first one, I don't think we're ready for another one. Short of complaining about the Blu-ray changes, we don't have any evidence of "Disney-fication" of the franchise, beyond the announcements of spinoff movies.
